Which test is actually legit for catching an early pregnancy—like, say, 5 or 6 days before you're even due for your period?

I'd personally go with Clearblue...

Honestly, they're all pretty solid. I personally went through six different tests over a 15-day stretch, ranging from $5.00 $6 ones up to $65 brands, and every single one came back positive. A positive is a positive—it can't be fake. But man, things turned sour for me last Saturday when I found out it was a BlackRock ovum.

I'm so sorry, Gregory... I went through the exact same thing about three months ago, so you know how much it sucks. I'm back at it again now, trying for a baby... just stay strong, okay? 😘

Look, I’ve been there. If you're even slightly doubting things, just go get a beta test done. It's cheaper and way more secure than guessing.
I've seen people run four or five different tests and still be sitting there scratching their heads, totally unsure if they actually caught anything or not.

Hey ladies, I’m new here—actually, this is my first time ever posting anything on this board. I can already hear the comments rolling in: "Oh great, here comes another one with a silly question"... but... anyway. So, my partner and I have been trying for a baby for about six months now, and nothing has happened yet. But lately, I’ve been feeling some really strange symptoms... My last period started on April 24th, which would mean my next one should show up around May 22nd, since my cycle is usually pretty predictable. My period ended on April 29th, and we were having sex every single day from then until May 10th. Well, right after ovulation—assuming that happened 14 days before my next period—the very next day, my breasts started hurting like crazy (usually they just ache a week before my period starts), and they stayed sore and swollen for about 5 or 6 days. They’ve calmed down a bit now, but my hands have been so swollen... I can tell because of my rings, which usually slide right off my fingers, but now I can't even budge them. Plus there's this pressure in my lower abdomen, and some light nausea in my chest area. Cigarettes seem okay with me sometimes, but not always. And I've been eating like there's no tomorrow. Oh, and I'm constantly exhausted, though honestly, I'm always tired anyway...
I'm not looking to go out and buy a test before my period is actually late; I'm just curious what you all think, and if anyone else dealt with similar symptoms—especially that hand swelling.
Thanks everyone...

So, I heard that your period is supposed to show up about a week after taking those six pills meant to jumpstart things. Is that actually true? Has anyone here actually dealt with this before?

thanks

Steven Bailey8, I think it might be a bit premature to start looking at pregnancy symptoms just yet (though that certainly doesn't rule it out). Personally, I haven't heard much about hand swelling being a standard indicator...

Here’s another weird one for the group... most people will probably look at me sideways for this, but it’s just the truth—I have a mobile uterus. Sometimes it sits upright, other times it tilts left, then right, just wandering around in there. So, given all these symptoms, I was showering yesterday and happened to feel it from the inside—since it's been leaning heavily to the left lately—and it felt incredibly hard. Honestly, at first, I thought I was just feeling a stray toy or something... Does anyone else deal with this? Like, does anyone actually know if a uterus can get that firm? God, what a ridiculous question to ask...

So, during my first pregnancy, my OB-GYN told me my uterus was "soft"... which sounds weird because I'm pretty sure the whole point of being pregnant is for everything to soften up rather than hardening like a rock, but hey, don't quote me on that...

And when are you actually supposed to take one? Just hang tight for a bit longer then run the test.

So, I’m just sitting here wondering... I really don't want to go through the hassle of taking a test before my period actually arrives—if it even does—but I should have an answer by May 22nd. It feels a bit weird, though, having all these symptoms popping up a full two weeks before my cycle starts. Usually, my PMS is practically non-existent... maybe just some slight soreness in my breasts, nothing crazy. I did happen to read somewhere that pregnant women deal with swelling in their hands and feet, but typically that doesn't kick in until closer to the third trimester. Now I'm starting to wonder if this is all just my kidneys acting up...
Ugh, here comes another disappointment, I can feel it..😳

So, my period is about 10 days late. I haven't had any of those usual warning signs, but honestly, it’s pretty normal for me not to have them either...
I had unprotected sex on day 23 of my cycle, though he didn't finish inside. My cycle usually runs about 24 to 25 days. Any advice?

Ten days?? 😲

I would have already taken eight different tests by now... and let's move this over to the combined pregnancy test discussion thread, shall we? It will be quite the saga for the travelers there.. 😉
