edit: I was just wondering what the actual odds are for getting pregnant, though obviously I know nobody on this board can tell me whether I actually am or not πŸ˜‰

You can, sure, but how's anyone supposed to know if you actually ended up pregnant this time?
And that's assuming you even hit your ovulation day perfectlyπŸ˜•

Btw, what do you mean by "fertile days"? Are you just crunching numbers or actually tracking symptoms?

Maybe you won't get a baby until you finally grow up a bitπŸ˜›

And look at Edward Green getting all soft on you. 😁 😁
He used to tell you:

"Why don't you just pee on your keyboard, send us a screenshot, and let us tell you if you're pregnant?"

goldeneagle5,
the girls over at Wannabes would love you. I'll move this thread over there, though I know you've already made yourself at home here.πŸ™‚

I can't exactly tell her to go pee on a test right nowβ€”she just ovulated, so any test she takes today is going to be useless for detecting pregnancy.

goldeneagle5, fertile windows don't work the way your mom described them. I mean, I have no clue how she explained it to you 😁, but if you actually want to be sure about when you're ovulating, you'd be smarter to track your basal body temperature and monitor changes in cervical mucus. πŸ™‚

@Edward Green, seriously, what is it with you being such a massive jerk all the time? This is literally the only subforum where I actually enjoy hanging out, and honestly, this is where I’ve picked up my smartest advice yet... I have to admit, the ladies over here are total Democratic Party!!! That's why whenever I'm stuck or hitting a wall, this is the first place I come to ask for help πŸ™‚

And the kid is great, everything about it is positive as hell 😍
😍

But hey, let me just quote my favorite person here:

Look, I think there's a chance you could be pregnant 😳 and honestly, it's about a 50/50 shot πŸŽ‰

Honestly, why your mom waited three whole years isn't really the point here... You might have just inherited some genes from a grandmother who was ready to start a family the second a guy gave her a wink! 😁 πŸ˜‰
I mean, the average wait time is usually around six monthsβ€”most doctors won't even see you if you haven't been trying for at least a year.
I’m assuming you’ve already checked in with your OB-GYN and everything is looking good.
Anyway.... good luck! πŸ™‚

goldeneagle5 said:So, I’m sitting here wonderingβ€”what are actually my chances of getting pregnant right now?! Like, my fertile window is supposed to start today, but even before that (I'm talking about those days leading up to the peak), my guy and I have been sleeping together without any protection because, duh, we're trying for a baby... and then today we did it again, totally unprotected, and he finished inside me... I mean, obviously, I know there's a chance I could conceive, and honestly, a pretty big one, but we've done this exact same thing before and I haven't gotten pregnant yet... can anyone actually give me a straight answer here??? We really, really want this baby, but now I'm low-key freaking out that it might be a struggle since we didn't make it happen 😒
p.s. my mom was telling me how it took her three whole years to finally "make" me, so now I'm just spiraling πŸ™‚

Think of it as a coin flip; it's basically 50/50. Honestly, don't build up too many expectations. If you just relax, things tend to happen much faster. In my experience, my partner and I never forced the issue or obsessed over the timing; we just let nature take its course, and I ended up conceiving after only five months. Take it slow. You're still young, and you have plenty of time on your side.
Good luck..

@Michelle Sanchez2 man, I’m seriously praying something finally happens soon... I want a baby so bad, but honestly? I'm terrified we aren't going to pull it off this time either 😒

Fifty/fifty my ass! My OB-GYN told me that if you take 100 women who are perfectly healthyβ€”and their partners are tooβ€”and they have sex during ovulation, only about 7 of them actually end up pregnant. And obviously, we're talking about just that one single time... So yeah, the odds are way, way lower than fifty-fifty!!!

I hate to say it, but I think I have to agree with kinki on this one. We’ve been at it pretty much religiously every other day all month long without missing a single beat, and yet, nothing has happenedβ€”no pregnancy to speak of just yet. It's only our first month of really trying, though, so I guess we'll see what happens.

Arthur Ramirez4, look, not every single menstrual cycle actually involves ovulation.

Exactly.
Even my husband told me that only 4 out of 6 were actually ovulatory cycles. So...

And yeah, I’m gonna say it againβ€”elevating our legs helped us a ton because everything would usually just leak out.
People claim it doesn't make a difference, but when I kept them up for 20 minutes, nothing leaked, so clearly πŸ‘

It'll be 😁
Even my little guy agrees and can't wait to hang out with everyone 😍

That’s true, I suppose, but even if it does happen, it doesn't automatically mean a pregnancy is going to occur, because there are so many other variables at playβ€”and honestly, the psychological aspect is probably the biggest factor of them all!

Every other day?! 😲😲
How on earth is my man going to survive that schedule...?

Well, my partner actually went into this thinking he could handle doing it every single day, acting like it was no big deal at all, but once we actually got into the rhythm of things, it turned out that every other day was really the perfect sweet spot for him.😁😁😁
