I’ve run into this annoying little headache before with Microsoft Word—it’s one of those things that seems simple until it isn't. I have this issue where I'm trying to center a heading, but since I include the chapter number right at the start, the whole line doesn't actually look centered. Instead, the software treats the entire string—number and all—as one block, which ends up pushing the actual text too far to the right visually. It looks totally lopsided, I guess.
