I don't have a Facebook account.

Either way, thanks. 🙂

A guy who once did a reading for me—covering this life, the past, the future, even previous incarnations—once mentioned that in a former existence, I was someone of immense power, a figure no one could overshadow, someone who traveled extensively and left behind written records (and he actually got quite a few details about my current life right). It’s fine, I suppose, but he also noted that in that lifetime, I lived entirely alone. He suggested that even in this life, I seem to gravitate toward solitude...

A few nights ago, I had a dream about a "priest" figure who told me I would spend this entire life alone. Lately, I've also been having these recurring dreams where I'm jumping from buildings or hospitals.

To be fair, that reader didn't mention anything about suicide; he just predicted that later in life, I would reach a very high station in society... part of me wishes that were true, though I don't really believe it.

You know what I think, everyone? I think I was simply born to suffer, as if it were some divine punishment, and as if God finds satisfaction in watching me struggle... Well, if that's the deal, then since my role is to be a damn martyr, I might as well grab a canister of gasoline, stand on the edge of a skyscraper, set myself on fire, and jump! THERE YOU GO, GOD! 🙂

It probably would have been better if I had never been born at all; damn the day I entered this world! 🙂

It’s that classic, old-school collectivist mindset... the idea that as long as you have your limbs and you can move, you should just get back to work and keep living. 🙏

Honey, I am far from "cheap and pathetic." That’s just how life works. You clearly haven't lived enough yet to realize that, so you can stay blissfully satisfied with yourself for now. Enjoy it while it lasts.👍

Lupus.....

Hehe... You know, dreams are usually just our brains processing everything that happens during the day, so try not to let them get under your skin too much. I have all sorts of weird dreams myself—falling, flying, you name it. It’s just how it goes. Honestly, I think you might just be overthinking things a bit. And seriously, why would you view yourself as a victim? And why on earth would you think God would take pleasure in that? Don't go down that road; it's not a healthy way to look at things...
I don't have a girlfriend myself, but do you really think there isn't a single girl out there for you? Just as a little experiment... give it two weeks. If you set up a profile on Tinder, I bet you'll have five different girls messaging you the very same day 😉))))

What the hell is your problem? You expecting to hit the jackpot on some scratcher or something?
Exactly. You’ve got two hands and two feet, which means you can actually do something to fix your own life instead of sitting around with that pathetic "poor me" attitude. It’s like everyone thinks their problems are somehow more tragic than anyone else's. Honestly, most of you don't even have real issues; you're just whining about stuff society shoved down your throats to make you feel insecure. You're basically manufacturing your own misery.
No surrender!
Honestly, just go ahead and end it. If you’re gonna do it, just leave your organs to people who actually want to live. I’d probably open an actual euthanasia center for you guys—somewhere private where you could check out painlessly behind four walls. That way, we don't have to deal with idiots jumping off buildings and leaving stains all over the damn street.

...calling it immoral isn't quite right, if you ask me... things are genuinely difficult right now, and when people are under this kind of pressure, logical thinking just goes out the window.
Come on guys, let's try to find a little sunshine here. I’m struggling too—I’ve got a massive crisis going on at my university and everything feels like it's falling apart, but am I going to end it all?? Of course not, even though some days it feels tempting, I'm not going there.

Look, you should probably just chill out and record something. Take those dark thoughts and turn them into music. Just vent all that frustration through a song or something.
I mean, that’s probably a better use of your time than just whining on a forum and crying about your miserable fate. 😬

Honestly, it's all in your head.
There are people all over the world dealing with much darker realities, so there's really no reason to whine about this.

Yeah, maybe... But there’s just this general sense of apathy everywhere, and people feel pretty crappy because of it. I think we just need to figure out how to turn all that frustration and fear into something creative, since plenty of people actually have the chance. Like, someone like Lupus definitely does.

God doesn't exist anyway.🙂
So, the only person who assigned you the role of the victim is YOU.

Maybe try becoming an atheist; you'll be a lot happier, trust me. 🙂 I walked away from Catholicism about a year and a half ago and finally feel free 🙂. I realized that I'm the one in control of my destiny, and the only "role" I have in this life is the one I choose for myself.

Falling down is human, but I think it's time for you to get back up.🙂 Sitting there wallowing in self-pity and crowning yourself the king of victims won't accomplish ANYTHING (I know, from experience). No one is going to knock on your door to save you.
Try to find that inner fighter and show those problems that you're bigger than them—because at the end of the day, they're just in your head.
You created them, so you can destroy them too. 🙏

It’s much like watching a slow-moving river carve its way through a canyon; there isn't much to be said other than observing how the landscape shifts over time. vividfalcon14 says:
vividfalcon14...

Dreams are really just a reflection of our daily experiences, so there's no need to overanalyze them. I have those same dreams where I’m falling or flying—it’s just how things work. You're probably just dwelling on it too much. Honestly, why would you see yourself as a victim? And there's no way God finds any enjoyment in that; don't let yourself think that way, because it isn't true.
I’m flying solo right now, but don't go thinking there isn't anyone out there for you. Just to give you a little proof of concept, try this for a couple of weeks. If you set up a profile on Spark, you'll likely have five different women sliding into your inbox before the day is even over. 😉))))

Look, please don't take my posts too literally. I mostly just write them as a way to vent during my darker moments, if you know what I mean.

I remember opening an account on Spark ages ago just for the hell of it, though if I recall correctly, nobody really bothered to say hello.
I'll look into it, thanks. 🙏
It’s much like watching a slow-moving river carve its way through a canyon; there is a quiet, inevitable force to it that doesn't require any shouting to be felt. vividfalcon14 says:
Look, just take a breath and cool off for a second—maybe try capturing something on tape. It’s like taking all that dark, heavy noise in your head and channeling it into music instead; just let those frustrations bleed out through the notes.
I think this approach offers a bit more substance than just venting on the Forum and lamenting one's own misfortune. 😬

Look, I record whenever the mood strikes, but there are times when you just need to step back and reflect on the bigger picture. We "Scales" tend to go through one or more major life crises, much like a forest fire that clears the brush only to allow for a complete rebirth of the ecosystem. 😁

You know, I wouldn't call myself particularly religious—I don't spend much time in church or sitting in prayer—but I can't quite bring myself to agree that God doesn't exist. I went through a phase where I rejected the idea entirely, but being a somewhat spiritual person by nature, I still find myself sensing this strange, divine energy vibrating through everything.
When you step back and look at the big picture, it’s hard to ignore; we were placed on this planet at just the right distance from the Sun to stay warm, experiencing seasons where summer heat gives way to the joy of a winter snowfall. We have an abundance of fresh water, like our Mississippi River, which has flowed steadily for centuries, serving as a quiet reminder that perhaps someone is looking out for us little people living under these bright stars. Between our evolving technology, the ability to connect virtually through this Forum, and the sheer depth of human consciousness and soul... I believe there is "The One," or God, even if it manifests simply as a benevolent energy woven into the cosmos. 🙂

That said, I definitely agree with you that self-pity won't get you anywhere—in fact, it achieves absolutely nothing. 👍

Best to everyone. 🙂

I’m not sure if I can even post this here, but there was this incredibly clueless thread about how to end it all over on the psychology board just a moment ago. I was right in the middle of typing out my response when the moderator yanked the whole thread away from me...

And now the association is stuck in my head, so I might as well just dump my reply here since someone decided to hijack my topic... 🙄

----------

So, basically... someone had written that the absolute best way to commit suicide would be jumping out of a plane without a parachute...

It triggered a memory of this old kids' show from way back—though it wasn't strictly for children, if you think about it. I can't quite recall the host's name, let me think... oh, right, Mladen Kušec. He used to interview these kids who were considered "special"... asking them all sorts of things.

Anyway, he asked them what the worst thing in life could possibly happen to them...
And this one little kid goes:

"The worst thing is falling out of an airplane straight onto the tip of a needle"

I suppose I should genuinely let you know that trying to end things is incredibly difficult, if not outright impossible, though in any case, it's just remarkably hard 👍☕

Who? Was that you who posted that?
If you were talking to me, look, I have zero intention of hurting myself. Seeing that jump without a parachute just brought back memories of that old radio show—I know Kušec hosted more after that one, but this specific program was always special to me. Those kids were absolutely legendary with their takes back then, and honestly, they still are.

I really wouldn't want some reaper figure stepping in to cut the one thread actually keeping me tethered to this side of existence. No, no... I still have to get my kids on their feet, and there's still plenty of life left to live—wandering around, singing too loud, getting worked up, getting sweat on my brow, dealing with people's nonsense, and surviving enough headaches to last a lifetime. As long as I've got a little bit of sense left in my head, and as long as these hands and feet keep moving me along, I've still got my parents, my sister and her crew, my friends, my partner, my bike... yeah.☕

Paul Smith16 said:So... lately, I’ve been spiraling into a really dark place. I feel incredibly low, I can't stop crying, and I've been hurting myself—taking handfuls of pills just to numb out. I am truly, deeply sad... I want to stop this cycle, but I feel trapped, like it’s become an addiction I can't break. 😢... What's even worse is how much I seem to lean into this pain. It isn't right, and I know people call this behavior weak or cowardly... But honestly? I’m lost. I don't know what to do next. Please, if anyone has advice, I'm listening... Anything helps.

I mean, how can you even be cutting veins if you're still breathing?
