I still maintain that those two things shouldn't be linked at all. If everything else—other websites, various forums, and so on—is working perfectly fine with just a single login, then I don't see any logical reason why this forum wouldn't work the same way, especially if it used to function properly in the past.

We are all dealing with the exact same technical hurdles and we are pointing them out, yet you continue to deny their existence as if the fault lies with our employers rather than this forum. For instance, I am dealing with an issue where my characters are scrambling, and this happens exclusively on this site—not to mention the constant crashing.
And there is one more thing: whenever I attempt to navigate back through pages, I have to click the back arrow twice. It used to be that a single click would take me straight to the previous page, but now it requires a double action, and again, this is happening only on this specific forum. Explain why this is occurring here and nowhere else.

Kevin Garcia70, I’ve definitely had those moments too—where my typing just goes haywire and starts scrambling letters mid-sentence, or suddenly jumps the cursor right back to the middle of whatever I was writing. It’s incredibly frustrating when you're in the flow. Luckily, everything seems to be behaving itself now, so I guess it's finally sorted out.

I used to run into this when I was logged in at school or whatever, but at home it’s fine—aside from dealing with the occasional 503 or 504 error 😍

don't know why it's only here, though—I don't visit other boards. Besides, on other sites, you don't see these kinds of errors because when you have 100 users and the server is running fine, it barely hits 1,000 posts a day.
It's funny that you think complaining about being kicked off every single day for twenty posts straight is going to change anything. Sorry, but it won't. You can't fix this with one click, so I don't see how your constant whining actually helps anyone...

Maybe it’s just better to stay quiet and call it a day. I’m not entirely sure if you hold a moderator position here or not, but whenever someone points out an issue, they're met with a dismissive response, and that's supposedly the end of it. I would have preferred if you simply admitted that work is being done to fix these issues and that everything will be back to normal shortly.

This used to happen to me whenever I was typing on my laptop—though, I suppose, it might have been on my desktop too, I can't be entirely certain. I wonder, is there some kind of quirk or setting on a laptop that causes this kind of letter jumbling?

Since I know a little bit about computers and how forums work, I guess the only way your letters would get messed up is if you're on a laptop and accidentally bump the touchpad while typing. Since it works just like a mouse click, the cursor probably jumps to a different part of the text and thinks that's where you want to type next.

As far as I know, there isn't really any other way, unless you have a broken keyboard with a stuck key, but I doubt that's it because the laptop would probably start beeping like crazy when you turn it on.

I haven't heard of any virus or malware doing this, and honestly, I haven't seen anything like it. Based on what I know about why people make that stuff, I don't see why anyone would bother making malware just to mess with your cursor. But hey, I guess I could be wrong.

As for the forum itself, there isn't a bug that would cause this. If there were, everyone would be dealing with it. Typing on a forum is basically the same as typing into any other text box; there's nothing special going on here.

I'm pretty sure it's just you hitting the touchpad and moving the cursor around while you write.
If you're using an external mouse, just disable the touchpad. If not, I guess just try not to touch it while you're typing.

Alternatively, you might be able to disable clicking on the touchpad so it only handles scrolling. But honestly, that’s a question for the IT Help subforum, not this one...

I can't pin down exactly when this started, but it isn't just a recent thing. This doesn't happen on any other site or forum, and it happens regardless of which computer I'm using.

Define what you mean by "it kicks me out."

1. Ever since I selected the "remember me" option, the login process has been a total mess. Every time I try to sign in, it immediately tells me my password is incorrect. After two or three failed attempts, it finally lets me through. But here’s the kicker: as soon as I finish typing a comment and hit send, the system throws an error saying I’m not even logged in.
2. My keyboard is acting up, too—it keeps mixing up letters, so if I actually want to get a thought down, I have to type painfully slow. ::: To be fair, things have improved slightly over the last few days.
3. Now that I am permanently logged in, the site automatically signs me in whenever I visit the forum.
I have a question regarding how to log out properly. Since I'm always signed in, anyone else who uses my computer can just jump straight onto the forum and read all my private posts.

1. You probably entered your username or password incorrectly (see point 2); that’s never happened to me.
If you take too long while typing a post, the forum might automatically log you out. It's set to a very short session timeout—maybe five minutes. If you spend too much time drafting, it'll kick you off.

2. This definitely isn't a forum issue.
Check if your keyboard is acting up or if you have malware on your computer (standard IT security stuff).

3. Also not a forum issue.
If multiple people are using the same computer, then you aren't using it correctly. Every user needs their own profile. If you actually used the machine properly, these problems wouldn't exist. But that's not what this subforum is for.

So, what do you think the actual purpose of this forum should be? Here is my take:
1. I am not writing out my life story in every single post; my replies aren't even three minutes long, let alone five.
2. Why is there a glitch where characters are getting mixed up on this specific board, yet everything works perfectly fine on the others?
3. I already checked my keyboard settings and the issue persists; clearly, nobody bothered to fix this mess.
4. I only use this computer for browsing, but I did ask about that option earlier.
If this isn't the right place for this discussion, then I don't see any point in asking questions at all, especially when it feels like some of the admins here are just incredibly full of themselves.
As an admin, you could have simply pointed me toward the right section or suggested opening a new thread.
