Karen Edwards59 said:Can someone please give me some advice on finding a dentist? I'm a college student and need to get registered with someone, but my classmate completely traumatized me with these horror stories about this one dentist over in the Suburban neighborhood. Honestly, I’d be willing to trek all the way across town just to find someone who is actually pleasant to deal with—someone who knows what they're doing and, most importantly, has the patience to handle things without making it a nightmare. 🙂 Help please 😉

Try the community health center near the mosque—either Dr. Biondić or Irena over on Laginjina, she's good.

Ronald Anderson6 said:Hey there, I'm looking for a general practitioner somewhere between Fascist Victim Square and where the Briton lives, or somewhere in that general vicinity. If anyone has a solid recommendation, that would be great :-) Feel free to shoot me a private message if you prefer.

I don't think there's anything right on that stretch, but you're pretty close to the Runjanin area... I think someone already mentioned a really good female doctor over there earlier.

I'm actually wondering if that doctor over on Runjanin is taking on new patients right now? And, I guess, is she on the younger side or more established? Also, how is the nursing staff there? I suppose I should also ask if you need to book an appointment a day in advance, or if you can just show up whenever—say, if you happen to have a referral in hand?

@Ronald Anderson6/">@@Ronald Anderson6 - Dr. Lukic is absolutely fantastic. Her office is located just north of the Briton area, right near Worker's Valley.

I need to run a few tests soon, so I wanted to get your take on local clinics and what kind of damage I'm looking at for prices:
- a gastroscopy
- a breath test
- an eye exam
- a gynecological checkup

Honestly, I'm torn on whether I should just bundle everything at one clinic or shop around. I've been looking into Poliderm Clinic, but if you guys have any other leads, let me know. 🙂

The doctor is on the younger side—probably in her mid-40s. She definitely accepts new patients; my brother actually switched over to her a few months back.
She works afternoons on even days and mornings on odd days. As for referrals, I usually just call ahead and then swing by to pick them up (not sure how the whole digital referral thing works now). Regarding the nurse... well, honestly, I'd give her a shaky C.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if I should try to get everything done at one clinic or spread it out. So far, I've been looking into Sun, but I'm totally open to other suggestions! 🙂

You could check out Mayo Clinic. One thing I love about them is their membership card system—you can grab a basic one for $333, which actually includes a full physical. After that, you can use the remaining balance toward other services like an eye exam.
If you have the card, they even give you a 10% discount on extra procedures. Plus, a nurse basically holds your hand through the whole process, so you can get everything knocked out in a single afternoon.

I'm looking for recommendations for a private dentist in New York City again. I have a pretty massive fear of dentists, and honestly, my pain tolerance is basically non-existent (even with anesthesia, I suppose...). Anywhere nearby would work too. I heard about Ida Bauer, but she’s just a bit too far for me. Thanks.
I hope there are some people from New York City on here. Thanks in advance.

She works alternating shifts, you know? Even days in the afternoon and odd days in the morning. For referrals, I usually just call ahead and then swing by to pick them up (though I'm not entirely sure how the whole new electronic referral system works now), and as for the nurse... well, let's just say if I had to rate her from one to five, she’d barely scrape a three.

Thanks for getting back to me.

It’s pretty much the same deal at Sun, though I think their discounts might be slightly better, if not identical... 🤷

Hello everyone!

I am currently searching for a private ophthalmologist here in Chicago! I’ve been scrolling through some older posts from the last few months, and it seems like Dr. Vukas over on Fifth Avenue isn't exactly highly recommended, nor is that creepy individual from the Spanish community. 😁 Someone mentioned the Light clinic—does anyone know what their pricing is like? My specific issue is that I deal with recurring bouts of conjunctivitis (for instance, right 😢 now), so I likely need an eye swab performed 🙄. Since I live right in the heart of downtown Chicago, I would be incredibly grateful if anyone could point me toward a reliable specialist 😉

Actually, I was the one who recommended Vukas—mostly because nobody else could get my conjunctivitis under control. Maybe he worked for me because his buddies referred me, who knows? 🤷 He doesn't do eye swabs, though; not sure about the others. I ended up getting mine done at Rockefeller using a referral.

Anyone got recommendations for a solid GP? Like, someone actually good, honest, and friendly? I’ve had zero luck with doctors so far—just two older, single ladies who were super aggressive, messed up my prescriptions, and were basically just careless. It felt like they didn't care at all, almost like they were afraid of their own shadows...

But hey, I’m pretty sure there’s someone out there doing this job the right way!!

Thanks for the help 🙂

Can anyone recommend a solid dermatologist in San Diego? I’ve had zero luck finding anyone decent lately—back home I found this amazing doctor, but she's way too far away from me now.

I am looking for Dr. Zrinka Grgić. She was previously covering shifts at the Downtown Center near Fascist Victim Square, but they’ve brought in someone new lately... if anyone happens to know where Dr. Grgic maintains her private practice, I would truly appreciate the lead 🙂 she is genuinely exceptional 👍, whereas this new replacement is frankly subpar 😢.

I was wondering if anyone here might have some insight or personal experience to share; which location would you recommend visiting for a quick eye exam—the Downtown Center near the Neighborhood or the one over on Runjanin?

I am honestly so done with the endless waiting games and back-and-forth with different dentists just to figure out if a tooth needs to come out or not—I just want to get this over with ASAP.
Does anyone know someone reliable who is great at pulling molars, and any idea what the cost might look like?

I totally hear you on wanting a private specialist—sometimes you just need things handled without all the runaround! But, if you really want the absolute best, I’d highly suggest Dr. Robert Cerović. He’s actually double-qualified in both medicine and dentistry, so he's a full-on maxillofacial surgeon. He works at the hospital over in the Neighborhood, and even though there's usually a bit of a wait, it’s only about a month or even less. I personally went to him to have my wisdom tooth pulled, and honestly, everything went perfectly! 😉
