Donna Johnson16 said:Honestly, you can really only get a straight answer by showing up in person at the Medicare office, —because, in my experience, if you just call ahead or walk into most clinics, they won't give you the full story regarding the actual status of things.

Thanks. I actually managed to find it—Dr. Vucelic at the downtown clinic.

I’m currently on the hunt for a good general practitioner in ST (and potentially a gynecologist as well), ideally somewhere on the east side of town. Does anyone have any solid recommendations they could share?

Can anyone recommend a good facial surgeon in the Los Angeles or San Diego area?

Hey there!
I just got a referral for a plastic surgeon to get this little lump on my arm removed. I’m honestly not even sure why they send you to plastic surgeons for stuff like that, but here we are.
My doctor didn't really give me a specific recommendation, just told me to pick any hospital in San Francisco.
Does anyone have any experience or a good place they'd suggest?

Also, can I use this same referral at multiple hospitals to see who can get me in first, or does that not work like that? 🤷

So, I just got a referral to see a plastic surgeon... apparently, I need to get this little lump on my arm removed. Honestly, I have no clue why they even send people to plastic surgeons for stuff like this, but hey, here we are...
My doctor didn't really give me any specific advice or anything... she just told me to head to any hospital in the city and get it sorted...
Anyone got any experience they could share? Looking for some solid recommendations here...

So, can I just take that same referral and run it to a bunch of different hospitals? Like, can I just hit up wherever I can get an appointment first, or does the whole system not really work like that...? 🤷

So, if you're looking to walk away with the most invisible scar possible... which specialty should you actually go for? It’s a real question...

Nah, there’s zero need to try and book multiple spots at once... seriously. The procedure you’re talking about is an outpatient thing—it’s quick, you’re in and out, and you definitely won't be stuck lying in a hospital bed for days. You aren't going to be waiting months just to get seen anywhere... so don't stress it. What part of town are you in?

Thanks for getting back to me!
I'm currently over in Verona, but honestly, I don't care where I end up—I just want to get this over with ASAP. And obviously, I need to make sure 🙂
actually goes smoothly.

🙂 then just check this out, for instance:

give the intake desk a ring at 01 290 2369 (for pre-exam estimates) and see when they can squeeze you in...

Good afternoon!
I would truly appreciate some assistance here—I am currently searching for a reliable endocrinologist in the Vuk Vrhovac area. I have been seeing Dr. Joseph Zmira for quite some time, but since he has officially retired, I find myself at a bit of a loss regarding who to turn to next. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone competent? If you know of a good specialist, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Hey there.
Does anyone know a doctor who actually understands CFS/ME? I'm looking for someone who knows enough about it to provide a somewhat reliable diagnosis rather than just brushing it off.
Thanks.

Hey there,

Anyone here have experience with this clinic or Dr. Lacic? Looking for some insight on their expertise—prices, objectivity, etc...

Not sure if there's already an active thread about this...

Cheers.

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone here has had any firsthand experience with the doctors listed below? I’ve been on the hunt for a new family practitioner, but I just can't seem to find the right fit through word-of-mouth recommendations alone:
- Tamara Kovacic : West Brooklyn Community Health Center
- Slava Posenjak Pavišić : The Prečka District Clinic
- Darija Crnić: The Prečka District Clinic
- Sanda Bifflin - Bučar : West Brooklyn Community Health Center (Anin)

Honestly, I am open to suggestions for other doctors as well. Location isn't really a dealbreaker for me—I don't mind how far I have to drive as long as they are truly professional and provide great care. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this specific clinic and Dr. Miller? I am interested in their level of expertise, their pricing structure, and their overall objectivity...

I haven't been able to find an existing thread regarding this topic...

Best regards,

A close family member had excellent results following thyroid treatment there. As for the costs, I believe they have a full price list available on their website.

I’m not sure where this question belongs, so I’ll just drop it here. I heard something today that sounded like science fiction. Is there actually a possibility of someone getting some kind of artificial skin grafted onto their face? Does something like that truly exist? I know it’s used for people who have survived major fires, but I find it hard to wrap my head around. Is that kind of technology actually available here in the States?

I was just there recently for some kidney issues, and man, they are absolutely wonderful🙏—everyone is so pleasant and kind. The doctor takes the time to explain everything, really listens, asks questions... it feels like they're treating a human being, not just a medical chart. I ended up paying about $900 for my full kidney workup. Honestly? Every cent was worth it.

Hello everyone, I am joining this community for the very first time because I am hoping to find some guidance🙂.
My mother has been battling an incredibly rare condition known as Beethoven Syndrome for quite some time now, and because the disease is so uncommon and still lacks extensive research, there are very few specialists who truly understand how to manage it properly.
For twelve years since her initial diagnosis, she has been seeing the same immunologist, remaining on the exact same treatment plan and dosage without any adjustment, but unfortunately, these invasive medications are taking a heavy toll on her other organs and her overall physical well-being...
I finally managed to convince her that we should seek a second opinion, especially after reading about several emerging therapies on American medical forums that seem to show great promise for patients in her situation.
At this moment, I would be so grateful if anyone could recommend a highly skilled rheumatologist or immunologist located in Washington, D.C.?
Thank you all so much in advance

The immunologists at Mayo Clinic are consistently excellent; they are permitted to prescribe biologics—provided those treatments meet strictly defined criteria, primarily when standard therapies have proven ineffective.

Does anyone happen to know if there's a private facility in Indianapolis that handles laboratory and cytological testing? Specifically, I'm looking for someone who can perform a cytological analysis of urine samples.

Hey, I already asked about this on the sinus thread, but I figured I'd post here too...

I’m booking an initial consultation with an ENT at Mayo Clinic (Brooklyn) because my sinuses have been absolutely wrecking me lately. Does anyone have a specific doctor they’d recommend? I'd love to hear about your experiences if you've been there.

Thanks
