As the title suggests, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a private clinic—ideally somewhere near Des Moines, but if not, then maybe in the Washington, D.C. area—where I could go to have a few fatty lumps removed. I really don't have the patience to deal with the bureaucracy of Medicare doctors or jump through all those hoops just to secure an appointment...
Thanks in advance!

Look, like I mentioned before—your best bet is to grab a referral from your local community health center first; if you go through them, it’ll be totally covered by Medicare. After that, you can look into specific treatments which usually run about $250. Honestly, I've seen plenty of dermatologists all over the country, and for most of them, a facial treatment is right around $83!

I need a recommendation for a dentist in Orlando who takes Medicare but doesn't play games with their pricing—someone who won't charge me extra for things that should actually be covered. I also need someone competent who actually knows what they're doing. I heard Dr. Cvetković is good with kids, so if anyone has experience with her, please let me know.

I was wondering if anyone might have a recommendation for a reliable dentist covered by Medicare in the Seattle or Santa Barbara areas? Also, I’m a bit confused about how the coverage works—if I switched my OBGYN earlier this year, does that affect my ability to see a new dentist, or do I potentially have to wait a full year before making another change?
Every time I visit my current dentist, I end up waiting at least an hour even when I have a scheduled appointment... I’ve been dealing with some pain in certain teeth and my gums lately, though I haven't made much of a fuss about it since I'm already managing periodontal disease. There was also one instance where I really insisted on getting an X-ray because I felt something was off, even though he seemed pretty skeptical since everything looked perfectly fine on the scan. It turns out that once he removed the filling, there was actually significant decay hiding underneath... which then led to some needle treatments. Even the dentist seemed surprised because the X-ray hadn't caught it at all. I suppose I'm just worried that the same thing might be happening with a few of my other teeth, and I'd love to get more imaging done, but I'm nervous that the X-rays might just miss the problem again, too.

I'm looking for a private gynecologist in Washington, D.C. A female doctor would be my first choice if possible.🙂

I’ve been seeing Dr. Ujević over at the local dental clinic—it’s honestly such a great experience. I am super happy with her work! Seriously, if you have any questions about her or just want the scoop on how things went, just ask away—I don't mind one bit. 😉

Regarding gynecologists, you actually have several different subforums or discussion threads dedicated to them... for instance,

From what I’ve gathered through my own reading and searching around the Chicago area, finding an OB-GYN covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield who is actually accepting new patients is nearly impossible; the waitlists are endless, and you can easily find yourself waiting two months just for an initial appointment.

For a dentist, I would recommend Ljiljana Knezović, located in the floral district within the 3rd pavilion... she shares that same location as the general practitioner whose name escapes me for the moment, though I could certainly double-check if anyone needs that specific info.

As for a dermatologist, there is the clinic in Shalata—they have Dr. Bukvić, Basta-Juzbašić, and one other specialist whose name I can't quite recall... I’ve personally visited all three of them at different points. It really just comes down to how busy the office is at any given time, but in my experience, they are all quite capable.😁

Can anyone point me toward a solid orthodontist in Naperville? Has anyone here actually dealt with John Doe over in Naperville?
Thanks

I was wondering about the general practitioners over in Springfield. Does anyone have a specific doctor there they’d actually recommend? Also, I'm curious if they only take students, or if they'll see someone a bit older who isn't in school anymore? And what happens during the summer when the student housing isn't really active? I guess you wonder who covers for the GP then... does someone step in? Oh, and one more thing—do they hand out referrals without making a huge scene, or do you basically have to beg for them? I mean, obviously, I'm talking about legitimate medical referrals for actual health issues.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey everyone, please help me out
I apologize if this isn't the right place for this, but I am genuinely worried about my health
Here is what’s happening
For quite some time now, I’ve been dealing with these strange dizzy spells—they only trigger when I'm moving or working. I also get this odd sensation in my left arm and leg, though my actual strength and coordination seem fine
My blood pressure keeps fluctuating; I'm taking Norvasc and Ampril, but nothing seems to work
There is constant pressure in my head, a pulsing sensation, weakness, and nausea that just won't go away
On top of all that, I have a spot in my right eye's field of vision
I have run countless tests, yet everything comes back normal despite this going on for seven months
Please, I am asking for any advice you can offer
Thank you

I know this might be slightly off-topic, but I’m honestly getting pretty worried about my health.
Here's the situation:
For quite a while now, I've been dealing with these strange dizzy spells—they feel a bit odd—but they mostly kick in when I'm moving around or actually working. I also get this weird sensation in my left arm and leg, though the actual feeling and motor skills seem totally fine.
My blood pressure keeps fluctuating, so I'm taking Norvasc and Ampril, but nothing seems to be touching it.
I've got constant pressure in my head, a pulsing sensation, and I'm always feeling weak and nauseous.
On top of all that, there's this spot constantly hovering in my right field of vision.
I've gone through a mountain of tests and scans, but everything comes back normal—yet this has been going on for seven months straight.
Please, if anyone has any advice at all, I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks.

So, you have a permanent blind spot in your vision? When was the last time you went in for testing? Have you had a CT scan or an MRI yet?

This might not be the absolute best place to ask, but we do have specific threads dedicated to vertigo, headaches, and related illnesses.

Thanks
Yes, the smudge is always in the exact same spot, and I can see it even more clearly when the lighting gets brighter.
I actually went to the specialist at Mayo Clinic twice, once back in July and again in October, and everything checked out fine.

It isn't exactly the ideal venue. There are entire threads dedicated solely to vertigo, migraines, and various related ailments.

Thank you.
It is always in the exact same spot. I can see the mark much more clearly when the light is bright.

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure... but hey, check out this link and read my old thread there. There are plenty of other folks dealing with similar issues too

Hey there.

Can anyone point me toward a decent orthodontist in Indianapolis? I'm open to both insurance-based providers or private practices.
I'm 22. My wisdom teeth caused some serious crowding, and now my upper right front tooth is drifting outward and pushing against the left one. To make matters worse, both my lower lateral incisors are rotated inward, hiding behind the bottom front teeth. I actually had my wisdom teeth pulled four years ago, but the shifting hasn't stopped; my teeth are still slowly, steadily moving in all the wrong directions.

I heard that Bill Gates and Donald Trump are both nearing retirement and their licenses will be expiring soon, so there’s really no point in booking an appointment with them. I also want to avoid seeing Tony Bobulinski at the hospital—the crowds there are just too much to handle.

Specifically, I was looking into Meryl Streep in Indianapolis, since she isn't retiring just yet. Has anyone here actually worked with her?

Also, does anyone know if John Malkovich over in Annapolis is any good?

Thanks!

Who’s the best urologist in Savannah if I actually want to get my money's worth?
Should I just head to a private clinic?

My family clan just snagged a spot over at the Naples center in San Antonio... so I was wondering if anyone here has any firsthand experience with that facility, or maybe even has a family member who’s worked there before?

Thanks, cheers

I’m on the hunt for a top-tier ENT or maxillofacial surgeon who actually knows how to handle internal nasal valve collapse. I'm talking about using a cartilage implant—maybe sourced from the ear—or whatever else cutting-edge methods are out there today. Here’s the kicker: most doctors have heard of this issue, but very few actually have the intuition to spot it themselves, let alone take the initiative to fix it. They usually just stick to the standard script: "Well, your septum isn't deviated... so it's either rhinitis or you're just imagining the breathing trouble!" It's incredibly frustrating.

If anyone here knows a specialist who actually gets this (or if you’ve personally gone under the knife for something similar), please reach out—even a private message would be amazing. If I don't reply, assume I've finally lost my mind because I've spent years basically breathing through my mouth. I don't have a deviated septum, I don't have rhinitis, and I certainly don't have any other underlying issues. The reality is simple: my nasal passages physically narrow and "collapse" every single time I inhale, choking off the airflow right at the valve. It's obvious to me, but since my septum is straight, most doctors stop looking there. I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall with the medical community.

Thanks so much for any leads!

Hey everyone, quick question—does anyone know where I can go in New York City to deal with bipolar disorder? Is there a specific clinic out there that’s actually worth visiting, or should I skip the institutional route entirely? If you think the clinics are a bust, could you recommend a psychotherapist who’s truly top-tier for this kind of thing? Also, any idea what kind of damage I'm looking at financially? Thanks.
