brightpilot6 said:How on earth can you possibly find it easier to catch or throw something if it isn't perfectly spherical? 🤣

I suppose if you were all just tossing things at each other from three feet away like you're playing catch with potatoes, it wouldn't really matter, but still 🤣

It’s actually easier to throw than an American football, using that as our standard for most common balls... 🤷 Sure, a tennis ball would certainly be easier to launch, but catching it is a nightmare because it's so small, whereas this had the perfect size. You can throw a football with your hands, but you aren't going to achieve the kind of precision we were hitting here. The distance varied quite a bit, anywhere from ten to fifty feet depending on who was passing to whom.

You might find a shuttlecock easier to catch than a basketball, yet you’ll likely struggle just as much when trying to throw it. It really comes down to the sheer scale of the object rather than its shape, doesn't it?

And anyone who has ever attempted to hurl an American football more than twenty yards knows exactly how unpredictable it becomes if you don't nail the right spin. Not to mention the nightmare of actually trying to catch one.

It isn’t really a matter of opinion or belief, but rather a simple principle of physics; it is just much easier and more controlled to throw and catch something perfectly symmetrical—something that doesn't shift its external dimensions through rotation, like an anvil, for instance, which does.

I’ve thrown it at that distance and tracked it just as easily; I didn't notice any significant struggle during the toss or the catch... As I mentioned to steelharbor9, maneuvering it was quite effortless...

If you’re going to insist on being added to the mix like some kind of wildcard variable in a parabola, fine, let's play. Why don't you try hurlng an American football straight at someone from twenty or thirty yards away and we'll see how that theory holds up?

Or perhaps you just missed out on making millions in the NFL.☕

I guess Robin Fox2 always had that wide receiver energy in him, right from the very beginning.

Of course we're talking about parabolic throws. Just try hitting a player's feet with an American football from 20 yards away—without proper technique, you'll either loft it high into the air or sail it wide. It's easy enough to catch, though, since it's slow and bulky. A handball is just much easier to throw and catch when you look at its size and weight.

Grabbing a balloon is easy, plus they're basically egg-shaped anyway.
Basically, catching a football is a breeze. Pure logic.

We used to call each other out without missing a beat, though whether that was because we were all just mediocre high school athletes or because we’re secretly the greatest football prodigies to ever grace the gridiron... who can say...

Holy crap🤦
Seriously though—go film those highlights, post them, and try out for a college program or hit the draft. People make millions off talent like yours... why waste it hanging out on a forum?

Well, I seem to have convinced myself that we could pass that damn soccer ball around without breaking a sweat back when we were seventeen or eighteen... though I suppose you two know better than anyone...

If Ken says he’s got some serious skills when it comes to handling eggs and that he's actually pretty good at it, I’m the first one to buy into that, honestly. ☕

It shouldn't be much of an issue; they’ll just use a soccer ball.

So what?

He catches that egg, and within seconds, he’s gotta find an open man while simultaneously sensing the pressure—because you've got hundreds of people trying to crush him. And yeah, if he actually pulls that off, he still has to hit his target dead-on.

Maybe this is the ultimate combo of athleticism, technique, and IQ—and you're turning it into some amateur hour hobby just because you guys were passing eggs around at 17. Give me a break. 🙏

And honestly, if you're down to give us a little private masterclass or whatever, I think we'd all really benefit from seeing how you work.😍
