Or maybe it’s just the fact that two total nerds, sitting in some stinky garage with nothing but a single dim lightbulb, somehow managed to build the whole world where you and I can sit here and chat on a forum today?

And what about being made from clay? Or the whole deal where He pulls out a rib just to manufacture a partner for us? Like, everything was supposedly perfect in paradise, yet He leaves one glaring flaw in the works? And then instead of just fixing it, He forbids us from touching it, acting all offended by the concept of "babies in adult bodies"—as if we weren't already played by the second most powerful entity in the entire universe! It gets even more ridiculous when you look at the ban on eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Why on earth would anyone be terrified of people actually knowing the difference between right and wrong?

I don't know, I guess the only sad part here is how you're subtly discriminating against those nerds. For them, at least, we don't have any doubts about the accuracy of the "price."🤷

It feels just as bizarre when you think about it, doesn't it?
The only real difference is that one is just a fairy tale kept alive by religious fanatics, while the other is an actual scientific theory built on solid foundations.

🤣😂

Yeah. But, I don't know, screw the scientists. restlesssurfer9 is right here at his keyboard to break things down for us.

I’ll take my subtle biases over your blatant discrimination against believers any day, especially when you hide behind that fake "I don't have a problem with them, everyone should just believe whatever they want" act.

The hypocrisy here is honestly enough to make your eyes bleed, man. It’s just blindingly obvious at this point. And don't even get me started on how many of you are sitting there with hearts absolutely aching to jump on the bandwagon, just waiting for the chance to pretend you actually believe what you're saying.

See, there you go twisting things again. I guess I'm not really hiding behind anything, and I definitely don't think anyone is less valuable just because of what they believe.

I don't have a problem with religious people at all, and honestly, I couldn't care less who believes in what. It's just that I think religion itself is a pretty silly concept. Like, the religion part, not the people who find it meaningful.

Look, my bad, I really don't want to step on your toes or ruin the joy you get from believing you just popped out of thin air, so feel free to keep going with that, I won't bother you anymore.

One actually has a leg to stand on, while the other is just pure nonsense.

I need to interrupt you all for just a moment. With the elections happening yesterday, I completely lost track of time, but I just realized that the greatest athlete of all time has officially hit his 1,000th victory. Doesn't he deserve a standing ovation from everyone here for a man who is practically the closest thing to a god in the world of sports? ☕

That’s just your go-to move whenever you run out of actual things to say, right? I guess you just skip the arguments entirely to try and act like your opinion is somehow on a higher level than everyone else's. Well done, really!

Alright, I'm heading out! I’m off to college to try and soak up some wisdom from those silly scientists—though who knows if it'll actually stick? Maybe I'll end up sending them over to Offside Chat so they can finally learn a thing or two. Wish me luck!

If you happen to be in political science or philosophy, you should definitely send them there...

You totally missed the point there, man. What I mean is that I already laid out my stance, so there’s really no point in me repeating myself since I already made it clear by just how much higher I'm standing on this one. 👍

Haha. Well, I'm actually in theology ☕

(It's basically just heavy-duty math. No social sciences involved, I guess ☕ )

Robin Fox2 said:There isn't any killing in the New Testament, which happens to be the only book that actually matters to Christians. Those Crusader Wars weren't about spreading faith, but rather liberating conquered territories; the only ones who actually used the sword to push religion were the Spaniards in the New World, and maybe a few Germans, Estonians, or Poles in Eastern Europe before things went south for them...

You can't claim the New Testament is the only important book for Christianity when the Old Testament is cited at almost every mass and is a core part of the Bible. You can't just cherry-pick the parts you like when looking at a religion. For instance, Moses is just as vital to Christianity as Jesus is, even if he plays a different role...

And what's this idea that the Crusader Wars were just liberating territories? How could unified forces—mainly from Western Europe—be "liberating" lands in the Middle East and North Africa when Arabs had already been ruling those areas since Roman times?

Have you even heard about the Cathars and the Crusades against them? There was a moment where a papal envoy told commanders to kill everyone, including women and children, saying God would sort the good from the bad. That kind of thing happened right in the heart of Europe...

Plus, you're forgetting the Inquisition, which wasn't even abolished until the 19th century...

Then there's the early Church era around 300 AD, when certain factions physically wiped out their rivals until the Council of Nicaea finally decided once and for all what actually made it into the New Testament...

Or look further ahead, when the West was carving up colonies in Africa while the Church stayed silent—even while Belgians were responsible for the deaths of ten million people over a 23-year period...

And nobody raised an eyebrow when Americans were committing genocide against Native Americans, yet those same Americans are lecturing the rest of the world on democracy today...

The history of the West and Christianity is just as bloody as the history of Islam, surpassed only by Communism in terms of sheer ideology-driven casualties...

I'm not making any hard claims here. Unlike you. And honestly, that's the whole difference.

In theory, if science were to provide proof of God, I think I would find it rather disappointing; though, honestly, I don't believe such proof is even necessary, given that faith is fundamentally about belief. Wouldn't it be a bit disheartening to discover that God is something so elementary that it could be captured by the scientific method? I have always felt that God exists far beyond those bounds, so if some are able to grasp that mystery, then so be it.

But that’s basically how God is defined, which is what I’ve been saying this whole time, though I guess some people just don't get it.
