I guess I finally managed to finish S01 of Boardwalk Empire, but only because I was sent on a two-month business trip and didn't really have any responsibilities outside of work.

That’s why I wasn't even familiar with 90% of the series people are mentioning here, but I always appreciate a good recommendation since I love having something on while I eat dinner...

Since I enjoy watching business strategy and thinking about work, I usually just put on Shark Tank

On a different note, I was actually wondering if anyone has any solid comedy recommendations? For the past year, I've been stuck in a loop of nothing but horror, heavy dramas, and intense thrillers. It feels like an absolute eternity since I last sat down to enjoy a genuinely good comedy.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2561572/?ref_=nv_sr_1 Honestly, this is easily one of the better comedies we've seen in a while.

Between the constant pressure at home and the grind at work, I can barely catch a breath, let alone a show, 🙂

When you don't have a spare moment to sink into a single season—what, eight to ten hours of your life?—how are you supposed to keep up? 4

And that goes for more than just the recent stuff. 😁

I really liked this one back in the day, even if Rogan tends to have more misses than hits.

That sounds pretty cool. After sitting through a few (honestly) terrible action movies like Fast & Furious 7, here are a couple of recommendations I really liked

I honestly couldn't get into that vampire comedy at all; in fact, I ended up just turning it off.
It seems to me that if I can't find my humor in shows like 🙄
, then nothing else is really going to land for me...

Waiting for them to rerun Seinfeld again, maybe some BTK...

I was out in Charleston today, and honestly, I can't quite wrap my head around what I'm thinking...

What did you end up grabbing
I was actually planning on heading out to catch some fish tomorrow, though I’m still debating which spot to hit...

I ordered the shrimp risotto thinking it would be a light bite, but the portion size was unexpectedly massive... though I have to say, they were pretty stingy with the actual shrimp.

The place was packed, so clearly it’s a hit with everyone else...😁

Seinfeld is top tier, a total classic for a reason, but Curb Your Enthusiasm hits different for me. It’s like the natural evolution of the genre. Same DNA, just way less restricted by format. Between the two, Curb is the one that really masters being about nothing. Plus, Larry David’s character belongs right up there with George in the pantheon of all-time great TV characters.

To me, Seinfeld remains in a league of its own. I could easily binge an episode twice back-to-back without ever feeling bored.

What about those New Zealand vampires? They were actually quite decent; I went in with zero expectations, yet found myself laughing out loud several times, especially during the first half of the movie.

Looking at newer stuff, Silicon Valley shows real promise, and honestly, Erlich Bachman is the kind of kingly character we haven't seen in a series for a very long time.🤣

I also managed to watch S01 of The Leftovers, and in my opinion, it’s absolutely superb. Usually, with shows like this, you find yourself just devouring the plot to get through it, but here, I had no trouble at all with the pacing slowing down to allow for deeper characterization. Apparently, there’s some sort of reboot happening for the second season, which feels like a bit of a shame.

They aren't bad vampires, I agree... though I wouldn't say I'm totally blown away either

I’m glad someone finally brought up Silicon Valley. 🙏 It is truly a brilliant series, and honestly, it has been quite some time since I felt this genuinely thrilled by a show. There is that one scene where Bachman looks at everyone during a meeting and says, "one of you is the ugliest creature I have ever seen, but I won't say who," while giving that piercing side-eye to a colleague. 🤣 Or that moment when he grabs that kid. 🙏

You really ought to give it a watch. 👍

By the way, thanks for listing all those comedies; I will definitely be checking them out. ☕
