If 99% of people turned in crossed-out or empty papers, the Republicans wouldn't go, "Oh, clearly the voters aren't giving us legitimacy." No, they’d just count the few valid votes they did get and call it a win. So, staying home to avoid voting for the Democrats is basically just doing the heavy lifting for the GOP.

Sure, staying home lets you look in the mirror. But if the Republicans sweep the board, you won't be able to see anything through the window anyway.

Just saying, you write pretty damn well.

Michelle Palmer6 said:Honestly, that’s just another myth—the idea that the Republicans were so screwed they were destined to be destroyed. Not true! Even with their former Prime Minister behind bars and facing blatant theft, corruption, and endless scandals—not to mention having that same Prime Minister's deputy running the party—the Republicans still pulled off a massive win. That tells you everything you need to know: the Republicans are going to crush it regardless of what kind of insane laws they pass. They managed to flip the neutrals and a small chunk of the less hardcore voters over to their side, while the core base remains rock solid. As for that "neutral middle," they'll just bounce back and forth like a ping-pong ball between options. They’ll never truly be satisfied with either side because there’s nothing to be satisfied with—it’s just the same old crowd wearing a different colored hat.

The GOP will always come out on top, or at least right there in the mix for victory, because they have a guaranteed base of voters from the American diaspora. That’s a heavy weight on the scale that will consistently tip the balance toward the Republicans over any other party.
Look, let’s be real: the GOP is the only party that truly embodies patriotism. They represent the veterans, the volunteers, the wounded heroes, our national independence, and our wartime victories. They stand for the church, for morality, and for fundamental ethics. It’s exactly like the political landscape in certain parts of the South where, for a long time, you were told the only way to be a true patriot was to vote for a specific conservative faction. In those circles, being a "real" person meant backing the party that champions the military, the local religious leaders, and traditional values above all else.

Sometimes I wonder if it’s actually possible that even in 2015, there’s still a whole crowd of idiots out there who get worked up over this kind of stuff—all that extreme nationalism and tribalism.

Where's the brain?

ruggedjackal46 said:That’s the one.

Go ahead—try telling me this isn't all the same garbage. Try telling me that interview wasn't scripted and pre-arranged from the start. Everything has been rigged for twenty years. They just crawl out of their holes to put on these staged little shows whenever they need to manipulate the masses with some fake patriotic fervor. 🤣

Since Duke Sterling is backing Josipovich, we’re voting for Kolindica just to spite them. 🤣

Loys and Ken are clearly pushing the Republicans, while Süd and Matthew Young35 are all about the Democrats. It’s so obvious they're just stabbing at the screen with their bias...

Most of them just troll about football, but when it comes to politics—man, they really start cranking out those long-winded manifestos. 😁

Frankly, I couldn't care less about the Democrats. If anything, I'm here to push back against the Republicans.
When it comes to football, I barely write anything, let alone engage in trolling.

Since we’re already talking about the Democrats and Republicans... honestly, the GOP needs to just vanish from the political landscape entirely. If they actually did, Democratic support would probably tank to like ten percent anyway. Just sitting here waiting for that scenario to play out, hoping the feds finally come after Karman 😁

At the end of the day, voting Democrat is basically just a vote against a total plague 😁

I think you and I both see exactly which players are about to fade into irrelevance. They were handed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity on a silver platter, yet they couldn't even manage to make the most of that. Honestly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see some last-minute legal maneuvering involving indictments right before the elections; I'm not entirely sure if they’ll aim directly at the leadership, but coming from an organization like the Democratic Party, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. 👍

Is it possible that casting a vote for the Republican Party is actually an act of resistance against pure obsession? ☕ Is it just me, or has the Democratic Party become quite possibly the most ineffective and incompetent organization we have ever seen in our political history? ☕ It’s truly unfortunate when people allow themselves to be swayed by such displays, isn't it? One can only watch as they drift away, ultimately forfeiting both their votes and the support they once held so dearly. ☕

Voting for Miller is quite simply the only logical choice, isn't it? ☕

Larry Fox5 said:There’s another way out—just don't show up to vote. By signing that ballot, you’re basically handing over your blessing to the lesser of two evils, even if you know damn well it's a trap.

That way, you can at least walk around with a clear conscience... tell yourself this isn't your government or your leadership, just whatever the majority in this country decided to pull. At least then you can look yourself in the mirror in the morning.

Jeffrey Edwards76 actually nailed it in a thread a few pages back—about a quarter of the people in this country benefit directly or indirectly from this whole rigged setup, living off someone else's sweat or credit. You can't expect anything to change when the system is built to keep them winning.

To grab the majority needed to run the show, they have to resort to lies and dirty manipulation. Just facts...

That’s been my exact MO for the last 15 years or so. Honestly? I couldn't care less if the next batch of politicians coming into power are bad or just downright catastrophic. It's all the same to me.

Noah Roberts46 said:That’s just not an option for me. People always end up whining later—not you specifically, I'm speaking generally—about how things turned out poorly, but honestly? That's on you. You own your choices. You pick the lesser of two evils and at least you did your part to prevent a total disaster. Then you wake up the next morning complaining that things suck, but at least you have the peace of mind knowing they could have been a hell of a lot worse. 😬

I’ll probably end up voting for a third party. I’m clinging to the hope that more young people will follow suit so we can finally see some actual change in this country. But honestly, when I look at how much influence those old guard fossils in the two major parties have over their own kids, it’s a complete disaster. They indoctrinate them from day one, and frankly, that's the biggest roadblock to any real political progress we might ever see.

Look, once that’s over, I stop complaining. I still pick up the paper, but I don't let myself get nearly as worked up as I used to. It's not like I stopped caring entirely—I’m not a robot—but I’ve stopped losing sleep over the idiots running the show in Washington or the clowns sitting in the opposition. Honestly, if you actually prefer one side over the other, you're kidding yourself. Let’s be real: casting a ballot for any of them isn't much different from just staying home on election day.

What conservative challenger? Who are you even talking about... 🤣

Anyone who can't see what the GOP actually is isn't worth wasting a single damn letter on.

We might partially agree on one thing: the Democrats at the local level are pretty much just like the Republicans, but that's still miles away from being a criminal, underworld mafia organization.

You see, regarding Boldan—I feel the exact same way about anyone who fails to recognize what the Democrats are actually about, though I simply chose not to be quite so blunt. ☕

Well then, I suppose you all should enjoy these remaining moments while they last. We try, we attempt, and sometimes things just don't pan out... that is simply the nature of life.

Looking back at everything we’ve been through over the last few years—from the public health mandates and those ridiculous referendum debates to the whole tent protests and basically nuking our relationship with Germany just to appease some shady intelligence types—I’ve made a solemn vow to myself. I am never, ever giving my vote to the Republicans or the Democrats again. It doesn't matter if thirty years pass, even if the political landscape shifts, or even if one of them somehow manages to field a prime ministerial candidate who is actually qualified by cosmic standards, like a superstar player from the Dallas Cowboys.
There isn't any "lesser evil" here; there are just decent, hardworking people stuck inside these parties, ranging from the low-level staffers up to the big shots.

Since I could comfortably vote Republican here in the States, or Tory in the UK, or support Merkel in Germany, you’d think the GOP would be my natural home, but they’re basically a mafia-style outfit that’s more economically leftist than some radical fringe group in Athens.

Because, honestly, I can swallow certain policy failures or look the other way on some scandals much easier than I can stomach the far-left crowd; there is absolutely zero chance that anything they do will indirectly result in me casting a vote for the GOP.

Refusing to give them even an ounce of legitimacy is just a matter of personal mental hygiene. If there were seven deadly democratic sins, one of them would definitely be voting for either side of the aisle in this country. On a global scale, it's just wrong.

The Libertarians, the Greens, the minor parties—it really doesn't matter which specific label they use, as long as they aren't those people.

It’s a toss-up between the Bridge Party or Marijana Puljak’s movement right now. My only real concern is making sure neither of them ends up in a coalition with the Living Wall group.

I don't think this is really about party membership—though I suspect only one person here actually holds a card ☕. It seems more like a simple case of intense dislike for the opposition, or perhaps I would even go so far as to call it pure hatred. Is it possible to dislike the Democrats or Republicans so much that you'd vote for any opponent just to see them lose? I truly believe it isn't just about rehashing old grievances, because you can always point to corruption within the GOP or claim the Democrats have abandoned the country's core values. Much of this stems from deep-seated ideology, whether people care to admit it or not, and invoking the past serves as a convenient excuse since neither party remains exactly what they once were.

I honestly can't believe nobody has brought up the bridge yet... what is everyone missing? Sure, maybe they won't make the cut in your specific district, but once they actually get out there on the national stage, they’re a perfectly solid choice. 🤷

Yeah, there's always that risk they might fall short of the threshold, but if you're really that fed up with the whole Democrat vs. Republican circus, why not rally your apolitical friends to show up? To me, voting for the "lesser of two evils" when there's a decent third option sitting right there feels pretty shortsighted. Maybe they don't clear the bar in your neck of the woods this time around, but if they pull inสัก 3 or 4%, they can try again in the next cycle, or perhaps an even better alternative will emerge. Just voting against whoever is currently in power—whether it's the GOP or the Democrats—only serves to give those fools legitimacy. Those people will never get my vote, not even if they signed it in blood promising to put together a temporary caretaker government.

Why do you guys even care? It’s not like the entire GOP is some massive criminal syndicate; sure, the top brass and their little inner circle absolutely gutted the country,
but the real headache is that the current leadership hasn't made a clear, transparent move to distance themselves from all that theft.
That’s what gets me worked up—this whole wider base of supporters who didn't push back harder or demand a total scorched-earth policy to fix things.

The Democrats are just as bad, they just play a much more sneaky game. They basically have zero respect for America or the American people. Honestly, if the GOP hadn't completely trashed the political landscape, those guys wouldn't even be in a position to hold power right now.

So, what we're looking at is basically an accidental government, just praying to God everything works out by sheer luck because a tiny, tight-knit group of insiders managed to line their pockets again.

I’m not trying to argue with you; I’m simply offering some perspective on how the Democratic Party is perceived from the other side. 🤷

We all tend to gravitate toward our own version of the truth, don't we? It really just comes down to who we choose to root for and which figures we simply cannot stand.

Let’s dial things back a notch; we’ve been stuck in these political debates for two or three days now, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s only a matter of time before the usual suspects—the hardliners, the zealots, and the partisan hacks—start making their move. Even Larry Fox5 has already begun throwing out accusations, labeling people based on whether they align with the Republicans or the Democrats.

Anyway, let’s pivot toward something much more enjoyable: a marathon of The Hobbit, parts one through three. It’s a trilogy that truly deserves our attention, and it certainly isn't going to watch itself.
