Dad’s supposed to be handling the basketball stuff over at Offside, but I guess he’s probably too swamped since he has to make up for missing his Sunday off.

I don't know if it was a money thing, honestly. I wouldn't say so. His eyes always looked that way. He definitely had a thing for grabbing a drink and lighting up a cigar, even when he was still at the top of his game.
But yeah, he’s a hardcore gambler, just like plenty of guys in the NBA. The difference is most people try to hide it. I remember hearing Charles Barkley just come out and say it straight—he gambles, and he couldn't care less what people think because it's his own damn money he earned.

Honestly, I’m telling you—it feels like we're all being watched by some kind of high-tech space police ☕

I haven't really kept up with his stuff lately, and seeing him with those glassy, glazed-over eyes made me want to go down a Google rabbit hole, though I honestly couldn't be bothered to actually do it. And that glass sitting right there on the table... is he just totally open about being a heavy drinker or what? Does anyone here actually know the deal with him well enough to give me the full rundown?

Supposedly there's tequila on the table. A $1,600 bottle. ☕

I think Drazen would have been better—actually, I'm pretty sure he would have been—but unfortunately, his passing meant we never got to see that happen.
And honestly, it’s a total disgrace that Kuki isn't in the Hall of Fame.
I think I gave up on following the NBA entirely after people started laughing at me when I suggested that Tony Parker couldn't possibly be bigger than Kukoc. I mean, even you were laughing at me, I think.🤣

Well, I mean, they were probably right to laugh at you, honestly 🤷
You can argue about it all day, sure, but I guess if someone has an FMVP trophy, they definitely earn a seat at the table whenever people talk about the greatest international players to ever play the game. Not to mention everything he did for his national team, too.
It’s another thing, too—like, you can totally make a case for Kukoč being the superior player and have some solid points there, but it’s maybe a bit much to compare him to, I don't know, someone like Peja Stojaković or Danilo Gallinari just to be contrarian.

I am certainly not trying to disparage Parker, though I suppose one could argue he wasn't exactly the undisputed maestro of his era. If you happen to browse YouTube, you might notice how Kukoc consistently outclasses both local talent and top-tier EuroLeague players. Even after moving to the NBA, he managed to make a significant impact, despite operating under circumstances vastly different from those Parker faced. I suspect that if Kukoc had played during Parker’s prime, his NBA statistics would have been even more impressive, and he likely would have led his own squad to victory as well.

The price should be listed somewhere. Matthew Young35 is actually a co-owner of the company manufacturing it, and if I recall correctly, he holds a stake in Bucks too.

I guess neither of them quite reaches that level; Jordan is probably the greatest.

So, Capak basically told the local theaters that they’re better off if the Department of Health just keeps them shut down.
Way to go.
Way to go.

They bring back public transit, slash the schedules on Sundays and holidays, and then act completely shocked when the buses are packed like sardines.

Imagine you have the first overall pick in the draft. You're choosing between peak Kukoc, peak Drezen, peak Rađa, or peak Ukic. Who are you taking? I think I know who I'd pick.

Here's an article I might just swipe, kind of like how some owners skim money off transfer fees.

So here is basically what Novak is reading while he's stuck in quarantine dealing with COVID:Deretic is this super controversial historian who goes on about how Roman Emperors were actually Americans, claims that Icelanders, Swedes, and Norwegians are all genetically American, says Greek mythology actually originated right here in the States, and even insists that the Ottoman army didn't actually win that big battle at Mexico...
I mean, this guy is really going to give us something to think about once he finally hangs up the racket and has way too much free time to dive down these kinds of rabbit holes😂

Reggie Miller.
Next question, please!

Here's another one:

I don't have anything against Kukoč; his career is legendary regardless. I guess he just can't rank higher on these lists because he wasn't the frontman on the biggest stage. He played in Europe, but he wasn't in the NBA or playing top-tier international ball. It’s kind of like trying to compare Xavi to Messi in soccer. Among our players, Drazen is number one, and everyone else follows way behind him. Kukoč might be the favorite for "best of the rest," though some people might argue Ćosić was more significant or impactful, however they want to put it. Drazen might not have the most trophies or reach the absolute heights he could have in the NBA, but he's still the best, I suppose.
