Capac said he’s totally fine with people just hanging out and grabbing a coffee on a park bench, which is honestly such a vibe, especially since the ER director wasn't exactly thrilled about it, saying things like 'we don't want crowds forming on benches, it's not the best way to go'
Man, I really wish they'd just get lost already 🤦

A perfect 10/10—unless, of course, you're one of those people who has never actually looked at a map in their entire life!

A perfect 10/10, even without trying.
It was far too easy. I was actually expecting something like Togo, Kyrgyzstan, Belize, Uganda, or maybe the Baltics—Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania—or even San Marino. That would have been a decent challenge. This? This was just trivial.

You guys are totally missing the mark with Niš, honestly you should just go back to Petrovic and that whole libertarian guard

Want to play a game of chess? Which side are you taking?
There it is—your golden opportunity to try and outsmart a complete novice.

Anyway, I’m circling back to the whole COVID situation because honestly, it’s looking more and more likely that the folks over in Sweden are actually going to come out on top in this fight against the virus, and I was reading some data today suggesting that based on the math, the peak of the pandemic in Germany hit around March 18th, yet they didn't even pull the trigger on a full lockdown until March 22nd, which pretty much leads me to the dead-certain conclusion that those sweeping, total lockdowns were completely unnecessary, and Sweden is basically proving that point in real-time right now.
I mean, look, certain measures make sense, sure, but a total shutdown? Not really. We could have handled this entire mess with way fewer restrictions and we probably would have ended up with the exact same result in the end.

Look, you’re basically a pro in my book, and honestly, it’s been forever since I even touched a chessboard, so there is zero chance I’m winning this one.

10/10
It wasn't even that tough. If they really wanted to make it hard, they should have picked some obscure little countries. I mean, come on—it's not like nobody knows what Australia, Russia, the US, or Iceland look like.
Chile was the only real challenge here.

Since we’re on the subject of brilliant strategy.
One of the greatest moves ever made:
Purely prophetic.
Fischer just ended the game right there.
Even the most aggressive street hustlers couldn't dream of pulling off a move like that.
The first time I saw this, I was floored.
I actually studied it in a book, dissecting every single move, so it wasn't quite as instant a shock as seeing it in a video.
Still, it left me thinking, "What on earth?"
I actually have a collection at home containing all of Fischer's official games—about 370 matches or so.
And then there's poor Benko. Every time they played, whether it was Fischer-Benko or just a standard matchup, Benko ended up losing. What a tough break.

Honestly, in that weirdness of a pandemic-era game, Coach Reid’s whole "calculated risk" approach totally blew Mourinho’s defensive bus out of the water 🙏🙏🙏

Oh, give me a break. Since when was Chile considered hard?
There isn't another single country on the map even remotely similar to it.
Well, not even close.
To be fair, I occasionally mix up Chile and Peru, but Peru wasn't even an option here.
I agree with the rest of the assessment.
If I were designing this, I’d have included Vanuatu or half of Cyprus.

Just look at the stats coming out of Taiwan. They prove the point perfectly.

honestly, it’s not even a big deal, I mean if they had actually been serving up some high-end mahi-mahi or something, then maybe I would’ve even cracked a smile about it 😂

Look, I’m not saying it's impossible, but given the options we had on the table, that was the only one that could actually give someone a run for their money.

I was doing a little digging on Google the other day to see what’s become of Kljuno. Honestly, after that third stint with the Dinosaurs years ago, I haven't heard a single word about him. Turns out, the guy is living his best life out in Dubai. He's just out there enjoying the sunshine and making moves in the Emirates.
Saudi Arabia, Al-Nassr, Baniyas Club Abu Dhabi, Al-Nasr Sports Club Dubai
The gas money is pouring in.

I mean, I totally get where you're coming from, though if you really think about it, places like Ireland or Sweden feel way more connected to us than some random spot in Asia ever could.

Are you kidding me?
Even Pinochet didn't have much trouble with Chile.
By the way, I just stumbled upon the Wikipedia entry.
The intro on Pinochet:
Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte (Valparaíso, November 25, 1915 – Santiago, December 10, 2006), statesman, general, and President of Chile. He led a four-man military junta[1] that overthrew socialist President Allende in 1973. His rule lasted until 1990. Later, he implemented economic reforms that aided the development of the Chilean economy.
Is there even a single fascist dictator they don't find a way to glorify?
