A meteor or a plane would have caused way more damage—plus, you’d still see plenty of recognizable wreckage from a plane. It definitely wasn't some kind of bomb, and it couldn't be a drone either because you'd see those parts too...

So, word is out that some chunk of an aircraft engine just came screaming out of the sky.

Emergency responders have confirmed what we're hearing: the object that fell looks like a piece of an airplane engine. It hit the ground with enough force to leave a crater about ten feet wide and three feet deep. Firefighters are currently working to retrieve another object—something with a parachute attached—that got snagged up in a tree nearby. The FBI has already stepped in to verify the details.

If Mayor Bloomberg were still alive, he’d be out there personally conducting the crime scene investigation...

Man, you could hear that thing buzzing like crazy right above the Beltway. It felt like everyone was just sitting there, holding their breath, waiting for the actual BOOM to happen. Seriously though, does anyone actually know which part of a jet engine is supposed to have a parachute?

I honestly thought it was an engine... though maybe not from a plane, but more like one of those Suzuki or Kawasaki bikes.😁
