The US just approved direct flights to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport the other day. 😁

Daft Punk 👎 Tricky 👎 The Killers 👎 Franz Ferdinand 👎 Moby 👎 Editors 👎 Tracy Chapman 👎

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival back in '09 was fine by me.
Not sure what everyone is looking for here.

I'm also hoping for Radiohead, even though I know it won't happen.
Anything would satisfy me. 🙂
And if Foo Fighters or The Killers come back, I'm down.
No complaints from my side.

I'm really not sure what everyone else is looking for here?

Well, personally, I’m holding out hope for Radiohead—even though deep down, I know it’s probably not happening.
Anything would be a win for me at this point... 🙂
And honestly, if they brought back Foo Fighters or even LCD Soundsystem, I wouldn't complain one bit.
No complaints from my side.

I'm with you there—that 2009 lineup felt pretty solid to me.
If I had my way, I’d love to see Florence + The Machine, Kings of Leon, Radiohead, or maybe even Koop... but let's face it, none of that is likely to happen.☕

Someone brought up The Knife/Fever Ray, man... I wish! 😢But honestly, it feels like they just aren't touring anymore.

I’d love it if they'd come play a show here—maybe Crystal Castles or Divotica. 🙂

I don't know what you people are even expecting?

The guy was being sarcastic. It was a joke aimed at the post he was quoting.
This is music. This is just some famous corner of the internet where crowds of people gather because they have nothing better to do.
It’s the weakest part of Reddit—it bores any sane person within two days because of the typical users here....

I’ve just been falling down a bit of a rabbit hole on Last.fm looking at upcoming festivals—and I’d probably bet my bottom dollar that Gogol Bordello is going to make an appearance, especially since they're slated for Prague on the 23rd after hitting Germany on the 17th. It looks like Band of Horses and Foo Fighters are both playing in Scandinavia over those two days as well. 😢

That just leaves the likes of The Strokes, Eels, Arctic Monkeys, and Portishead on the table.

Eels 👍

Hey everyone, what’s the deal with those school certificates? 🤔
Is there any kind of discount or anything attached to them? 😳

From: jab bad religion 😁 and Pearl Jam, though I highly doubt they'll show up 😢 plus System of a Down—that's even less likely 🙄 Arcade Fire is alright 😬 and Gogol Bordello 😍 and Muse 😁

Aaron Palmer75 said:Does anyone actually have a clue how the whole school certification process works? I feel like I'm wandering through some sort of bureaucratic labyrinth where the walls just keep shifting every time you think you've found an exit. It’s all so incredibly opaque, isn't it? One minute you think you've got your paperwork sorted, and the next, you're staring at a mountain of red tape that feels more complicated than trying to navigate rush hour traffic in downtown Chicago. Honestly, does anyone have any actual insight into how one goes about getting these things finalized without losing their mind in the process? 🤔
Is there actually any point in showing up, or is it just going to be a massive waste of time? 😳

It’s basically the exact same deal as that paperwork you have to deal with for health insurance—just another bureaucratic hoop to jump through. You fill out the form, hand it over to the school administration office, and they give you the official stamp confirming you’re actually a student there. When I went through it, the clerk actually had the nerve to ask me what the hell I needed the certification for in the first place, so I had to scribble "for purchasing concert tickets" on the line just to satisfy their endless curiosity. It's all just part of the same tedious dance.
So, I went down to the Target in downtown Chicago earlier, and honestly, the whole interaction was just bizarre—I'm telling you, nothing about it made any sense. This woman behind the counter didn't even bother asking for a receipt, a digital confirmation, or some kind of ID to verify anything; she didn't say a single word about documentation. She just took my student ID, glanced at it, and that was that. It felt like one of those weirdly seamless moments that shouldn't happen in this day and age, you know? Like, where's the bureaucracy? Where's the red tape? Anyway, give it a shot yourself and see if you run into the same kind of surreal experience. 😁

And yeah, honestly, when you really stop to think about it... 👍👍👍 So, looking back at that whole list of bands you just threw out there... it’s kind of like staring at a massive, sprawling map of everything we've ever loved and lost in the music scene. It’s a lot to process when you lay them all out like that, isn't it? You've got those heavy hitters like the Foo Fighters just standing there, solid as a rock, while you're drifting through the indie vibes of Band of Horses or getting caught up in the sharp, jagged edges of The Strokes. It's a wild spectrum, really—one minute you're vibing to the atmospheric, almost haunting layers of Portishead or the cerebral, moody depths of Radiohead, and the next, you're ready to jump around to the raw energy of Gogol Bordello. It’s like moving from a quiet, rainy afternoon in Seattle to a chaotic, sweat-soaked night at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival without even blinking. You've got the Arctic Monkeys bringing that punchy, rhythmic swagger, then you pivot to the quirky, storytelling grit of the Eels, or that driving, anthemic feeling you get from the Foo Fighters. It’s a massive, beautiful mess of genres, much like life itself, where you're constantly shifting between wanting something deep and intellectual and just needing something loud enough to drown out the rest of the world. 😉

But when I went to the T-Mobile center, the clerk didn't mention anything about certificates or student IDs—she just handed me my student card right then and there. You should probably give it a shot and see for yourself. 😁

Oh, and yeah, 👍 👍 👍 regarding all those bands you mentioned 😉

mentioned 😬
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. 😁

And I'm hoping for a little more of the other stuff too! Though maybe skip the emaciated look—let's at least keep some health involved.

Honestly, if they actually showed up, they could just rename the whole Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to "The Radiohead Show." Everyone else on the lineup would basically just be their opening acts at that point.

I’m honestly crossing my fingers for Band of Horses... I really hope they have a gap in their tour schedule right around the time of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival...

As for the Foo Fighters, they aren't really my thing, but my girlfriend is dying to see them more than anything else, so I'll probably tag along... 😁

If their free dates happen to line up with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival weekend, then hey, maybe they can be like AC/DC were last year...☕

As for the Foo Fighters—they don't really do much for me—but my girlfriend is dying to see them, so if they play, I'm in. 😁

If their off-days happen to line up with the festival dates, then fine; otherwise, we might end up disappointed, just like we were with AC/DC last year. ☕

The Foo Fighters won't show up. I've said it before—they're too expensive, and the timing in America doesn't seem right for them. They'll likely be hitting Germany on the 19th, Denmark on the 21st, and Sweden on the 22nd.
