PC keeps shutting down randomly

I’ve got a weird one for you guys—my PC just shuts itself down whenever the case is sitting upright. I was doing some light dusting the other day, pulled out the fan to give it a quick clean, put everything back together, and then... nothing. As soon as I hit power, it dies after about five seconds. The only way to keep it running is to lay the whole thing flat on its side. Plus, when it's upright, the fan starts making this obnoxious racket—could be the PSU too, honestly, who knows? I'm thinking maybe it's because those little mounting pins on the fan are slightly cracked, so they aren't seating perfectly against the CPU shroud, but I don't know if that's actually the culprit or if there's something else going on...

The little plastic pegs on my fan that snap into the motherboard holes have cracked—so now there’s this annoying gap and the whole thing just wobbles... it's totally unstable. I'm going to try to wedge it in a bit better tomorrow and see if I can get it to stay put.

Hey everyone, I’m running into this really bizarre issue with my PC and I honestly have no clue what’s actually going on here. A few nights ago, my brother accidentally bumped the edge of the desk pretty hard, and the whole computer just instantly died on him. Then, being a bit of an idiot, when I tried to boot it back up, I started thumping the case to see if I could "wake it up," and it actually shut off during the first two attempts. I kept tapping on the chassis a few more times and it seemed fine after that, until tonight, when it cut out again just from me pulling on the side panel. My board is a http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/G...DS3H-rev-11#ov, and even though I've gone through all the connections multiple times to make sure everything is seated perfectly, nothing seems to change. If anyone here has dealt with something similar or can guess what might be causing these random shutdowns, please let me know what you think the culprit is and how I might be able to fix it.

If I were in your shoes, I’d honestly tear the whole thing down—take everything out and then carefully reinstall it back into the case. There could be a million different things going wrong here, especially since you can actually feel something weird happening just by touching the chassis. It’s possible there's a damaged cable coming from the power supply, so every time you nudge the tower, that wire shifts and causes an issue. I'm telling you, there are just so many little things worth investigating
