Heh, I actually made the switch from Seroxat to Paxil Wellbutrin myself, and man, I was sleeping better than I ever have in my life. Didn't really notice any major weight gain or anything, but I did get super aggressive out of nowhere, so I had to pivot... On the plus side though, the sex drive was insane—from day one, I was ready to go at any second 😁

When it comes to sleep, it really is the ultimate solution, isn't it? Honestly, though, it depends so much on a person's individual metabolism—usually, those who are more high-strung aren't the types to gain weight easily. And hey, that aggression thing hits home for me too; I've always had a pretty short fuse and tend to lose my cool quite often. Okay, sure, that fits right into my diagnosis, but I've noticed that taking Remeron can sometimes crank up my irritability even more, even if it occasionally helps balance things out. Generally speaking, looking at how everyone here writes, it seems like this isn't prescribed all that often, which is such a shame for people dealing with the side effects of standard SSRIs—you know, the stuff that makes them struggle with... well, you know what 😁. With mirtazapine, you just won't face those specific issues. Look, there are two of us here serving as living proof 😁, so tell me, what did they end up giving you to replace the Remeron?

I am in a total downward spiral right now. Yesterday, I ended up taking three Xanax, one Zeldox, and one Faverin all at once, but it didn't really do anything... I just fell into a deep sleep.

So, how did you handle things with her? Did you bring up family or anything like that? Look, just find yourself a cat or maybe a sugar mama to take out for a stroll right in front of her face—that’ll make you feel better instantly. Seriously though, ask your doctor about switching to a different antidepressant, like mirtazapine, which will leave you feeling ready to go at any moment 😉

Switched over to FedEx instead—it's legal, fast, and a total libido killer at 75mg. Now I can actually make it through the night 😁. But hey, it's not like she'll be happy about it :d

Hi there. So, I’ve been on an antidepressant (FLUOXETINE 20mg) for about a month and a half now, taking one pill every day, and I’m looking to stop. Every resource I come across says you shouldn't just quit cold turkey. What does "abruptly" actually mean in this context? Basically, what is the right way to taper off?
Thanks. 😁

Follow your doctor's orders, not the advice of people on an internet forum.

To take Seroquel or not
I’m really trying to lose some weight, but I have zero interest in becoming dependent on these pills
The addiction factor seems to kick in so fast—has anyone here actually dealt with this personally? I'd love to hear some real-world experiences.

No experience here, and honestly, nothing's a sure thing.
Just ask your doctor.

I’d much rather just listen to what others have gone through
It wasn't even like I was trying to take charge or anything; she actually mentioned she was thinking about offering it to me if I wanted it 😁

When I stumbled upon the news that a brain tumor is actually listed as a potential side effect 🙂 I have to say, I was pretty shaken up. It’s one of those things that really sticks with you, and honestly, I don't think I could ever bring myself to take Wellington antidepressants again.

Man, I feel like I always need something to take the edge off... you ever wonder if those meds actually fill those little gaps left behind by old habits? 😉

Things are actually looking up for me lately, relatively speaking. When I take a step back and look at everything I’ve put myself through... honestly, it's a bit surreal. How am I even still here? How am I still sitting behind this keyboard, typing away? It’s strange, isn't it? But I suppose the most important thing—the real crux of it all—is finding that sense of connection. Just satisfying that deep, constant hunger for some kind of genuine affinity.😉

Heh, well, they certainly try to fill them, but I guess they never quite hit the mark the way I'd want them to.😉

Psych meds are a total trip, man. They’re legal and they look fine on paper, but honestly? Most of the time they just don't quite fill that void inside us. Sure, you can get pretty faded off some of these "helpers," but it's just not the same high... Everyone’s basically playing the same game—block this receptor, tweak that one, toss in a little bit of this...

My therapist says there’s no such thing as treating anxiety without benzos, or tackling depression without an antidepressant. Honestly, sometimes a benzo will pull a person out of a depressive funk way faster than an antidepressant ever could. If you actually look at the side effects for both—I mean, really look—it’s pretty obvious which one is easier to deal with.

I haven't met anyone who took Xanax, Clonazepam, or Lorazepam and ended up shaking uncontrollably or puking or being unable to, you know, function... But antidepressants? The side effects from those are absolutely insane. 😁

My psychiatrist's bio says Paxil.....
Since I've been on Zoloft for five years, what's the move?
She told me to cut my Zoloft dose in half—something I actually did a while back.
The plan is to skip Zoloft for two days, then start taking half a dose of Paxil... and just keep going from there...
I heard somewhere that when you switch from one antidepressant to another, you need a 15-day washout period, but I can't remember which types require that (MAOIs, SSRIs)???
Does anyone have more specifics on this??'

Is there actually anyone out there who feels like Velafax actually did them a favor?

In my experience, I guess it did eventually work and helped me out, though it took about a month of consistent use before I noticed anything.
I’ve been on it for roughly a year now, but since it’s causing such massive issues in my personal life—I mean, my sex life is basically non-existent at this point—I really have to switch to something else. It’s just becoming too much to deal with.

One silver lining, I suppose, is that it doesn't cause you to put on weight.

🙂 The new design on Yahoo! is fantastic. Honestly, it’s about time Novartis took over Pfizer.
