restlesstrucker15, you’re kidding yourself if you think half of a 25mg dose is going to take you out lol. Besides, I heard fadedbear92 is getting those big orange 100mg tablets now. Just a heads-up: don't take them right before hitting the sack. If you do, you'll wake up feeling like you've been hit by a truck—totally groggy and disoriented. It's better to stay awake for a few hours after taking it just to gauge how it hits you before you finally crawl into bed. 😳Does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for a 100mg Q-pin?

If you have insurance, it won't cost you a dime—I actually called the pharmacy earlier today to check.

Thanks for the tip.

And seriously, stop trying to freak me out with that avatar of yours.

Heh, don't worry about it. I just had a massive stash lying around and took some just to see what the deal was. No underlying issues or anything... or so I tell myself. lol.😁

Hahaha, that's just Dr. Green Thumb.😛 Cypress Hill.

fadedbear92 said:My doctor reached out this morning—he suggested we bump my dose up to 100 mg, or maybe switch me over to either Abilify or Seroquel. He was debating which one would be more budget-friendly, though he mentioned that regardless of the choice, it should help dial down my anxiety during the day—unless, of course, I need to make sure I'm getting solid sleep since I'll be taking it at night.

It’s a bit of a catch-22, isn't it? If you try to force sleep while you're dealing with that constant, restless twitching, you aren't actually getting any real rest. But then, if you don't sleep, you're going to wake up feeling like a complete zombie, with absolutely zero energy to handle the kids the next morning. It's one of those frustrating loops where you can't seem to win.

From what I’ve gathered, people dealing with heavy pill dependencies can be pretty intense. I actually saw someone with a few boxes of Serq just sitting around at their place, and it honestly made me wonder—why wouldn't they just take them? It wasn't until I tried it myself that I really started to get where they were coming from. 😁
Kenneth Scott41 said:well, I suppose she’s got enough seniority to know better... maybe that’s why the pills aren't doing anything for her😁

Well, I suppose that’s one way to put it. It’s like when you finally spot the pattern in a complex piece of sheet music after staring at it for twenty minutes—suddenly, everything just clicks into place. Simple, really. 😁
It’s funny how we all approach these things differently, isn't it? It reminds me of how people handle a long road trip—some people have their entire itinerary mapped out down to the minute, while others just grab a bag and see where the highway takes them. There’s no single "correct" way to navigate the journey; it’s more about what keeps you steady behind the wheel.

So, it ends up being around $150 or so, but you don't actually have to cough that up if you're covered by health insurance.

I am certainly not lying. 😢 I suppose I should probably feel happy about it. 🙂

Andrew Stewart2 said:Can you actually feel the Lexapro kicking in? I started on 0.25, just one pill at night about two months ago... and honestly, I felt it almost immediately. Now I’ve bumped up to 0.5, taking it maybe every other day, but I’m feeling absolutely nothing. My doctor told me Lexapro is one of those things you can take "as needed," whereas Zoloft is something you have to stay consistent with every single day to see results. But, man, I've read so much horror stuff online about Zoloft that I'm just staying far away from it. Even though my psychiatrist keeps telling me it's actually great and she hears nothing but success stories from patients... I don't know, I'm still not touching it.

I'm dealing with anxiety and depression, plus some paranoid personality disorder stuff too...

But what happens when even 1mg of Helex isn't enough to cut through it?

Your doctor gave you sound advice; you need to take the Zoloft consistently, as its purpose is to actually address the underlying issue that prompted you to start the Helex in the first place. Relying solely on Helex is insufficient—to use an analogy, it's like trying to treat a severe bacterial throat infection with nothing but painkillers instead of taking the prescribed antibiotics. While SSRIs aren't a perfect solution, they provide significant relief. Of course, psychotherapy should also be part of the equation.

Precisely. Most of the negative feedback people share regarding SSRIs typically stems from those initial two or three weeks before the body adjusts and the side effects subside. If your concern is the overall impact on your health, any medication carries some level of risk; there is nothing inherently more dangerous about these than other common prescriptions. This is especially true for the modern options, such as Zoloft, Lexapro, or Paxil.

I suppose I should probably schedule a follow-up appointment soon... things aren't feeling quite right. Everything seemed to be moving in the right direction, but then, almost out of nowhere, I just spiraled back into this deep depression. I haven't the slightest motivation for anything lately, and honestly, I’m struggling to find any reason to keep pushing through this lonely existence.

Hi everyone! I have a bit of a dilemma I’m hoping to get some insight on. For the last nine months, I’ve been taking Tylenol 30mg every morning to manage diagnosed anxiety and depression, along with occasional panic attacks. After navigating that rough initial period where the medication felt like it was putting me through the wringer, things finally leveled out beautifully. It really helped get my life back on track. Now, I’m looking toward the possibility of tapering off, but I am fully aware that stopping cold turkey is a recipe for disaster—I definitely don't want to end up in a mental health crisis. My current situation is that I'd prefer to handle this taper on my own, mainly because private specialist visits aren't really in my budget right now. My specific hurdle is that since the Tylenol 30 comes in capsule form, I’m feeling a bit lost on how to actually step down the dosage gradually. Has anyone here gone through the experience of tapering off Tylenol? Any advice or personal stories on how you managed the transition would be so appreciated. Just to clarify, I am not currently taking any other medications 😕

It’s an anti-epileptic—plus it works as an anxiolytic and a mood stabilizer.
I've been taking it myself for over a year now.

My fellow forum members... I’m having a really difficult time lately. These suicidal thoughts just won't stop coming, but I'm honestly terrified of heading to the psychiatric ward. I've been admitted for this exact reason far too many times before, and I just can't face the idea of them putting me in one of those straightjackets and forcing me to stay on the unit against my will.🙂🤷 I feel completely lost. To make matters worse, I have to wait at least a month and a half just to get an appointment with my therapist! 😢

Last time I felt this way, I actually ended up heading straight to the ER...

🙂

If you really need a change in your meds because that wait is just too long, you should head straight to the ER.
Don't even let those thoughts cross your mind...😠

Hey everyone... I was wondering, what actually happens if you have about two glasses of wine, and then maybe five hours later, you take a Xanax—or just some other tiny dose of a pill? I totally get that you aren't supposed to mix alcohol with meds, but I’m just curious if there are any weird side effects if you wait a few hours rather than taking them at the exact same time, like within an hour of each other. Has anyone here dealt with something similar or had any experiences they can share?

I’ve sat through quite a few of his motivational speeches before, and I have to admit, they always leave me feeling strangely optimistic, almost like a kid on Christmas morning.

Here is what I was talking about.
