So my psychiatrist is trying to kick me off my antidepressants and just leave me on Xanax!! But honestly, Xanax doesn't even do anything for me, and of course, those dark thoughts are still hitting hard, especially right before bed.

After I finally talked him into it, he put me back on Lexapro, so now I'm dealing with all these side effects again ☕

Everything from nausea to insomnia... I guess we're all just guinea pigs for psychiatrists sometimes ☕

Leo, trust me, there are actually some decent psychiatrists out there, mine is one of them, but you seriously have to hunt for them like you're looking for a needle in a haystack...
I can't even believe this crap—they just kick you off your AT&T meds and leave you stuck on anxiolytics, and to make matters worse, they're from San Ramon! 👎

People like that shouldn't even be allowed to practice; honestly, they're dangerous enough to be considered actual threats...

So here we are, two perfect examples of how the exact same med can hit people totally differently.
For me, Lexapro used to make me feel incredibly drowsy—even during the day.

I I'm basically sleeping all day and partying all night 😁
Actually, I'm just crashing from 7 AM until 5 PM, with some interruptions along the way 😳

Man, I just can't wait for this to be over!!

She's actually a psychiatrist!! I've got a solid psychotherapist who already told me to try going without Xanax SR once I started feeling better on the AD!! Guess I'm gonna need to find a new psychiatrist or something 👍

I'm using a referral, how about you? Thinking of seeing a female psychiatrist.

I remember Dr. Branson over in Cleveland 🙂

I take Klonopin as a mood stabilizer, paired with Prozac.
The Prozac tends to overstimulate me—it basically puts me in a state of constant agitation—so I rely on the Klonopin to bring me back down to earth.
I actually saw my psychiatrist today, and she cut my Prozac dose in half to 25 mg, and honestly, I felt significantly better. I wasn't dealing with that intense hyperactivity anymore.
As for the Klonopin, it works incredibly fast at calming me down when I'm feeling anxious or on edge, though I make sure to use it sparingly.
Oh, and I did ask if it was okay to drink alcohol while on antidepressants. My doctor warned me that alcohol intensifies the effects of the medication, so she told me to stay far away from beer or even a glass of wine.
I’ve tested that theory myself, and I didn't have any adverse reactions!
Of course, if alcohol is something that typically triggers depressive episodes for you, then absolutely do NOT touch it.

REGARDS!

I used to drink over the weekend back before I started taking my AD.
I’d probably be feeling pretty anxious the next day, too.
Hangovers are miserable enough on their own, but they're even worse when...
If you're currently on medication...

It’s all five of them, but Bridget from Pittsburgh is in private practice now—she used to work the psych ward at Varaždin General Hospital for years... 😍

The thing is, she isn't just some doctor; she's a psychiatrist, a psychotherapist, AND a psychoanalyst, plus she's a regular expert witness for the courts...

We actually caught up recently, and she was telling me about being called to do a forensic evaluation at the crime scene where this girl I went to high school with was killed. Her boyfriend totally lost his mind on drugs and just slaughtered her with a knife, then he actually wrote "I love you" on the wall in her blood... 😲 😢

She lost her life, and he’ll probably just end up in a psych ward because they'll declare him not guilty by reason of insanity. Then he gets out in a few years and goes after some other girl. I guess our legal system is just great. 👎

I've been totally lost lately, honestly just trying to function at all 🙏

I forgot how incredible it feels to start back on AD...

My psychiatrist is the absolute best 😳

It's crazy what people are capable of 😲 I remember this one girl from my neighborhood helped a guy get off drugs, and then he turned around and stole her money to go gambling. What an idiot!!! If I had a girl like that, I'd be showing her love every single day 😍

I don't know, I honestly don't think it works out that way... while someone is stuck in therapy at a mental health facility, there's actually a chance they might "see the light," if that even happens, and if it does, the weight of what he did—just living with the memory of her and the day he took her life—might be enough of a punishment in itself.

I don't know, personally I think he'll get off easy. And there's a huge chance that once he's out, he'll just go after another girl. It wouldn't be his first time.😠

Oh, wow. "I think it’s just some Seroquel antipsychotic—yeah, I know way more about medicine and drugs than you because of certain circumstances—pretty soon I'll be prescribing my own psychiatrists myself."🙂 Why don't they just throw in some Adderall and whatever else while they're at it, huh?

Anyone else on Bill Gates? What kind of side effects are you dealing with? My psychiatrist put me on it out of pure caution, but after a month, I just feel terrible. Constant dizziness. I'm only on one milligram, but... something’s definitely wrong. My focus is shot, my head is spinning, and honestly, it feels awful. I'm scattered, can't concentrate on anything, and just exhausted. But the vertigo is what's really killing me. I told my doctor, but she just brushed me off. This all started about seven days ago when she bumped up my dose.😕

My doctor tried bumping up my Solian dosage once, too, but it made me feel absolutely miserable, so she dialed it back down and I’ve been doing alright since then.

Maybe this isn't quite the right spot for this kind of thing, but I see everyone talking about psychiatrists here and you all seem to have plenty of
experience dealing with them... Any recommendations for the CIA? Ideally looking for a female psychiatrist if possible.

How does Reese actually work? How would you explain its mechanism to someone who doesn't know anything about it? I was prescribed it for psychotic fears, but honestly, I don't feel any different than before. If anyone knows how this stuff works, let me know.

I’m feeling perfectly fine even though I’ve started tapering off my Paxil 👋 👋
My doctor suggested dropping down to 10mg, but honestly, I wasn't ready to mess with my head just yet. So, for now, I've been splitting my pill every morning—cutting it in half, then cutting that half again—to land right around 15mg. I think I'll stick to this for at least another week before I finally make the jump to 10mg.
Anyway, I'll keep posting updates here, even if it feels like nobody actually cares what I'm up to 😂
