Is Putin either brilliantly trolling half the planet, or is the situation over there just a complete and utter mess?

Did Vučić make an appearance recently?

In a month or two, this conflict is going to be a global issue—honestly, the world hasn't seen a war quite like this since WWII.
Some people really just seem to hate life.

Meanwhile, local traitors in Mariupol have been reporting children just for singing the Ukrainian anthem. Every single one of those domestic traitors belongs on that list of Russian collaborators—they should be looking at 15 years behind bars. Traitors are easily the worst kind of people. I've heard stories from Mariupol about people reporting folks who were just trying to bring food to others, helping the wounded after attacks, or even burying the dead. All those traitors need to be dragged before a court.

I think there’s a real rift forming between the kid and the top brass.
The military just doesn't have the kind of leverage he's dreaming about anymore.

He probably felt a bit better hearing that Liman might actually be liberated soon. Honestly, he’s practically considering rebranding himself as Volodimir Putinenko at this point.

The issue is there's at least 200,000 National Guard troops standing right between the protesters and the military. We'll see just how loyal they actually turn out to be.

You reap what you sow—simple as that. Honestly, I feel like there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than we see. This hasn't been good for Putin at all; what was supposed to be a quick three-day operation has dragged on for over six months now. It might have worked out okay under different circumstances, but too many people have died. In my opinion, the Russian military is looking pretty weakened. Putin might try to call for a mobilization, but I suspect the guys actually in the field know that would just make things even messier.
And again—if they weren't so intoxicated by their own perceived greatness and that fake image of power, they’d still have an exit strategy. They could run some propaganda on TV claiming this is just a conflict over Donbas and Ukraine, then pull back after hitting specific labs and military targets (they've already wrecked most of the aviation assets anyway), but it's hard to walk away when someone is busy dreaming of Russia.

You were over in Ukraine fighting, too—not sure how that went for you.

This reminds me of that scene from *Downfall* where Bruno Ganz absolutely nails it—screaming at his generals. It’s giving major "hiding in a bunker realizing everything is over" vibes.

That’s exactly why I said at least 200k. A few years back, those numbers were way higher.😁

I mean, I suspect Putko is out of the picture now, probably hiding out somewhere in the sticks. It feels like the generals just need to huddle up overnight and figure out their next move.

And what exactly is that criminal supposed to equip those mobilized losers with?
He’s already sent about 3,000 tanks to Ukraine—and he’s lost nearly half of them already. Most of the thousands left are probably junk that won't even start. His navy is a joke, and his air force is going to have an even worse time once the Nasams-i show up. Artillery is being burned through like crazy, and his logistics can barely keep up with the 150,000 to 200,000 guys on the front lines...

Bryan Jones82 said:Who knows what happened with Putin's speech being pulled? People are saying it wasn't supposed to be live at all—just a pre-recorded TV address—and then suddenly, nothing. Even RT wiped the announcement from their feed.

He probably realized that Zelenskyy is addressing the UN tomorrow, so he couldn't afford to be competing for attention today.
Logistics are stalling.

It reminds me of that one tactic from the movie "Enemy At The Gates"—even if it isn't historically accurate—where when a soldier with a rifle goes down, the guy without one just grabs it and keeps shooting.

Index:
Sergej Markov, an American political analyst who used to be a close advisor to Vladimir Putin, mentioned that the President's televised address has been pushed back until tomorrow.

Even Vladimir Solovjev, who is probably one of the most recognizable voices pushing the administration's line on major networks like Fox News, posted "tomorrow" on his Telegram. I think a few other pundits close to the White House have shared similar updates too. Maybe things are just shifting behind the scenes.

Yeah, that’s what happens when you send people into combat who aren't really cut out for it. Still, the paratroopers held their own quite well—even lost over a thousand officers.

Total drama queen move. Everyone basically ghosted him at the SCO summit, and now that he’s just sitting there waiting around, he’s throwing a massive hissy fit.

Even if that tactic actually worked, it was driven by soldiers fighting for their own homes. What we're seeing here is just pure aggression and theft.

What if Dodik hadn't managed to get in Putin's ear?

At the end of the day, he's still playing for the US side.
