It’s all part of the play—Putin needs those Russian media outlets to go absolutely ballistic, barking and making threats left and right. It makes him look calm and collected by comparison, like some rational leader amidst all the hysteria.

Honestly? We should just cut them off from Europe entirely for the long haul.

White House: This war could wrap up by tonight if Zelenskyy just tells his troops to lay down their arms

The whole conflict in Ukraine could be over before the sun goes down—all it would take is for President Zelenskyy to order a surrender and for Kyiv to cave to everything Moscow wants. That’s the line coming straight from Dmitry Peskov, the White House spokesperson.

Where do they get this stuff? One day it's a "special operation," the next day it's a full-blown war... what's next?

We shouldn't even have to break a sweat trying to achieve that; they’ve basically done the dirty work themselves.
Our only job now is to make sure that seal stays shut for the next 50 years.

I'm sitting here listening to the news right now, and the German Chancellor just branded Putin a war criminal—and this is coming from someone who is supposedly considered one of the "moderate" voices!

I have to admit, there's some undeniable logic to that.

Oh, sure, because everyone here obviously speaks fluent Russian and spends all day glued to state-run propaganda outlets.😁

I guess people always jump to the conclusion that we're all just getting our news from some biased, conspiracy-theory-fueled morning tabloid or a sensationalist site like CNN.

Yeah. My Russian is pretty much stuck at a high school level—nothing crazy—so I’m leaning pretty heavily on machine translation to get by.

I mostly just keep up with those pro-Russian soldier blogs—guys like Murzin, for instance.

Turkey has dropped its veto regarding Finland and Sweden.

Now we just wait for the inevitable threats and outbursts coming from the White House.

Nah. Zoki already greenlit the Scandinavian countries, and there's no Veto when it comes to the US.

Bulgaria kicks out 70 Russian diplomats

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs dropped the hammer on Tuesday, telling Russia they need to pack up and pull 70 of their diplomats by June 3rd. Basically, they’re trying to shrink the Russian embassy in Sofia down to a size that actually matches the Bulgarian staff working over in Moscow.

"First off, it's about reciprocity. Secondly, we've got Russian officials running around doing stuff that the Bulgarian government says flies right in the face of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the Bulgarian Ministry put out in an official statement.

This isn't even the first time this month, either. Back in March, Bulgaria booted two Russian diplomats for allegedly playing spy, and then followed that up by kicking out another ten because—according to the Bulgarian Ministry—they were busy with activities that just don't fit the whole "diplomat" job description.

Looks like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan finally gave in! Turkey, Sweden, and Finland have officially signed a trilateral memorandum, which I guess should really clear the path for both Finland and Sweden to join NATO.

So Erdoğan gets a free pass to continue his crackdown on Kurdistan, only for a NATO—with Turkey firmly at the helm—to later lecture us about criminal Russians or anyone else who doesn't fit neatly into American interests? How predictable.

It’s as if he decided to brand himself a traitor all on his own!

“Anyone who votes differently (to admit Sweden and Finland into NATO) will be labeled a traitor by me. And anyone caught having coffee with them will also be called a traitor. There is no middle ground,” Milanović declared.

I guess Putin basically forced a country he shares such a massive border with to join NATO, which pretty much brings potential nuclear weapons right to his doorstep—the very thing he was supposedly fighting against in Ukraine. It’s honestly quite an impressive strategy if you think about it.

What are your thoughts on the military analyst Ivica Mandić who’s been popping up on the new TV network?
