Second attempt

Alright, this time I’m addressing the comment from our esteemed Pringles spokesperson, and—I promise—without any of "my usual delusions."

So, here I am, reposting what I tried to say before, just minus the fluff.

Seriously, how does it work? How is it that user hr1u00—who, let’s be real, is basically the smartest guy on this entire politics board and absolutely wipes the floor with everyone else when it comes to actual facts—gets slapped with a warning card just for posting an unverified claim (which, mind you, hadn't been proven yet at the time, but turned out to be dead on)? He claimed Walt Whitman was responsible for tearing down monuments in California. Meanwhile, user kumek—a literal world-class troll who has turned being annoying into a fine art—gets off scot-free for his totally baseless assertion that Ronald Reagan was behind the killings of Reich-Kir and Paradzik. No card for him!

Basically, one guy gets penalized for an unproven accusation, while another guy—clearly a favorite around here—makes the exact same kind of unproven accusation and faces zero consequences.

I just want to know the logic behind this textbook case of double standards.

Seriously, all I want is a justification for this blatant unfairness.

Now, Pringles spokesperson says she doesn't have the authority to explain why we're seeing these double standards since she isn't in charge of the politics section. So, I'm turning to the esteemed supermoderator Chuck—the very man who handed out that warning card to hr1u00 (which he did eventually rescind, sure, but the damage to the debate was already done)—to answer this simple question: Why is it that in one instance, an accusation without proof results in a penalty, but in another instance, the exact same thing results in nothing at all?

I can answer that myself. It’s because we're dealing with a forum regular who holds a strictly left-wing worldview. Honestly, conservatives haven't really found a home on this site in quite some time.
I wouldn't go as far as attacking Chuck, though. He's a unique case.
Look, nobody is saying the mods shouldn't join the conversation, but if you're going to jump in, don't try to moderate the thread too. You clearly have a specific bias, so you just can't be objective.

Chuck, nothing, huh? Not even a single word explaining why hr1u00 got slapped with a warning for the exact same thing that kumek totally walked away from without a scratch?

And seriously, why does this happen day in and day out—where you guys have one set of rules for one group of posters, but a completely different set of standards for the group you just can't stand?

Look, Chuck, I don't care if you're a hardcore leftist or whatever—that’s your business and it's perfectly fine—but I have a massive problem with you being biased and losing all objectivity when it comes to moderating. You can be as opinionated as you want during a debate, sure, but you can't bring that personal baggage into how you enforce the rules.

From here on out, I’m keeping a log of every single post. Once I’ve gathered enough evidence—and trust me, it won't take long—I’m going to lay it all out in black and white to show everyone exactly how one group of users gets punished while everyone else gets a free pass for doing the same thing.

Technically, user hr1u00 was correctly flagged because their post lacked any actual argument. As for the Nazor situation, I checked the facts myself to ensure my own actions were correct, and since it wasn't accurate, I went ahead and lifted the flag.

We could spend all day debating Nazor or the demolition of that half-ruined theater in San Diego where an American word was never even uttered, or we could discuss tearing down the monument to someone who spent their entire life trying to "return Dalmatia to Italy." But clearly, nobody cares about that. It’s just easier to point at Nazor and claim he ordered something—or whatever—just to make a quick point.

Can we finally put this to rest? Both hr1u00 and I have settled this publicly and via DM, so let's move on.

As for the warning that doesn't exist and won't exist: you and the other user keep calling for it, using that previous example as justification. Even though those examples are completely apples and oranges, it's common knowledge how Kir and Paradžik were killed; the Nazor thing really should have been verified first.

The user starting with 'k' didn't accuse anyone or even insinuate guilt; they simply stated that those two and others didn't commit suicide. They were quoting a post by 'k' which, in my view, was trolling and mentioned Franjo Tuđman, so everything was wiped.

It's a bit strange, honestly. You're looking for an argument for something you *think* was written, rather than demanding an argument when someone actually claims that person XY ordered the murder of person NN.

If you read something different from what was actually written, that's your issue. I'm ending this thread here; I don't moderate based on personal preferences.

Look, I already told hr1u00 that there’s nothing wrong with what they said—that’s not even why I’m starting this thread.

The whole point here is that Kumek didn't get a ban for doing the exact same thing. If you look at the post he was replying to, it’s blindingly obvious that his response basically implied Franjo Tuđman was responsible for the murders of Kir and Paradžik. He’s throwing out massive accusations without a shred of proof—way more serious than anything hr1u00 did—and yet, zero punishment. Sure, Kumek didn't explicitly write "Franjo Tuđman did it," but let's be real—he was totally insinuating it. It was right there in plain sight.

I actually wanted to paste Kumek's post right here as proof of what I'm talking about—to show everyone how clearly he was pointing the finger at Franjo Tuđman—but, well, apparently someone went ahead and deleted it sometime since last night. (And honestly, if there was nothing controversial in it, why the hell was it wiped? I don't get it.) So now I can't attach it to the discussion.

Maybe it would be fair if you posted it, since you actually have the ability to do that. That way we can all see what was really going on. We can decide if Kumek actually crossed the line or if I’m just sitting here hallucinating things and you guys are—as per usual—right about everything.

So, just put the post up here so we can all see. If there really isn't anything problematic in it, like you claim, then I don't see why you wouldn't just post it. Doing so would actually back up your argument and prove you're right once and for all.
