I see my old jersey picks are still a hit with the crowd. 🤣

The Kinez crowd is going to have a collective meltdown of pure ecstasy. 😍

Honestly, they should just slap two or three more sponsors on there so they look like Formula 1 drivers, for real. 🤣

As for our side, that '98 jersey is killer, but I think that's just pure nostalgia talking. I've got a Jurčić jersey at home 🤦 and let's be real—I probably wouldn't even like it if it wasn't tied to that '98 magic. 😁

The World Cup 1998
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That was hands down our best jersey ever, mostly because it actually stood out from the crowd—it’s so refreshing when things aren't just following the same old template everyone else uses, don't you think?

The Nike kits from '96 and '98 just weren't cutting it

mellowowl38 said:Look, like I was saying before, that was the away kit. Personally, I think all those jerseys could have worked, but strictly as an away kit, not a home one. That specific away design from Euro 96 is easily one of my absolute favorites, but this one here?

Man, if we’re ignoring that absolute disaster from World Cup 2002, this is hands down the ugliest kit America has ever produced since we became a sovereign nation. I hated it then, and honestly, I’m just relieved Nike went back to the classic checkers afterward. If they had kept playing around with those "experiments," I’m convinced we’d be stuck wearing some weird white jersey with a tiny little patch of checkers shoved somewhere on it today. Just kidding—but seriously, it would have been tragic. Anyway, I put together a little DIY ranking of our kits from all the Euros and World Cups. Personally, I think the best combos were the ones from Euro 2008 and Euro 96. On the flip side, the absolute eyesores? Definitely the 1998 World Cup and World Cup 2002 kits. Total fashion crimes.

Just to be crystal clear so nobody calls me out for lying—I didn't actually design these jerseys myself. I just slapped them all together into one image.

Why? Look, setting aside what might have happened if they kept messing around, this specific jersey is just hideous. The checkerboard isn't too much, yet it still stands out. It’s a great kit.🙏

Back then, we were all like idiots rushing to buy it—everyone wanted Boban or Šuker, but I actually grabbed Bilić. 😁 Probably the only one who did. I can't bring myself to wear it anymore, but if you've got the cash, there it is in my closet with the number 6 on it.😍

Man, I actually have the Jurčić jersey 🤦 Forget Boban, what a joke. Jurčić, man! 🤣

Man, this new jersey is actually sick once you get it in your hands and really check it out—at least the player version. Just got this fresh one from Austria

There is just something about those blue numbers set against a red background that remains, in my estimation, the absolute pinnacle of design 😬 I find myself wondering if there is something fundamentally flawed in my own reasoning, because my logic keeps telling me that if our numbers were a different color, they would harmonize with this jersey at least ten times better and be roughly twenty times more visible 🤷

Exactly how many bottles of material went into making that jersey?☕

300 😬 So, I was sitting there thinking about it, and honestly, it feels like we're looking at a flat 500 bucks, but you have to account for the inevitable corruption baked right into the price. It’s just one of those things, isn't it? You see it everywhere in this country, that little extra "fee" that nobody talks about but everyone understands. It reminds me of a situation I dealt with years ago back in Chicago when I was trying to get a simple permit sorted out—everything seemed straightforward on paper, but once you realize how much is being skimmed off the top by various hands, the math just changes completely. It’s quite a cynical way to look at things, I suppose, but when you factor in the grease required to make the wheels turn, that 500 is really more of an estimate than a fixed number. 🤣

I actually have a Bilić one too, from France🙏

I couldn't make it, but my buddy went. He ended up getting lucky meeting Darijo Srna and Ivica Petrić after the game, whereas I just got stuck with Petrić...😁

Designed by Umbro... easily the best football kits on the market.

placidfalcon4 said:Honestly, I'm mostly happy with our Nike kits—not that we all loved this current set either, but I won't sit here and complain since the squad is killing it. 😁

It's the exact same deal with that '98 jersey. You've got people constantly acting like it's the greatest thing ever, but I bet you anything most of them actually think it sucks. That kit is just... weird. One side is covered in these random-sized little squares all twisted up, while the other side is just plain white. It looks like someone designed it after three too many beers at a dive bar. 👎

And don't even get me started on how everyone worships Umbro. Umbro makes these super basic jerseys. They're so sterile and boring that you can't even find the words to hate them, but you definitely can't say they're great either.

Like, Umbro could never pull off an Inter Milan style crusade kit because their designs are way too "safe."

Minimalist kits are just better. Honestly, this one might be my favorite in years.

Man, what a joke of a squad. John Terry is just your typical brainless English drunk, Wayne Rooney is a total creep, and Beckham is such a coward...🤮
