Ventolin drops

I was wondering if anyone knows if you can actually pick up Ventolin drops for an inhaler around here? A friend of mine has this little kid who absolutely has to use those specific drops for his inhalations, but apparently, she heard they aren't even stocked in our pharmacies anymore. Is that true? She mentioned that maybe Canada might be the closest place where they’re still available, but I don't know about all that. Any leads would be huge, thanks in advance🙏

I honestly can't say for certain whether they're currently in stock or not, but if they aren't, the parent should just take the child to the hospital to have them treated there. Alternatively, they could look into giving the kid Ventolin syrup or using a standard Ventolin inhaler—just one quick puff and it's done. The effect remains essentially the same regardless of the delivery method, because Ventolin is Ventolin, no matter how you administer it. You can even use a bit of standard saline during inhalation to make breathing easier for the child. If those specific drops are unavailable, I'd suggest moving toward the syrup or the inhaler as an alternative.

Thanks! Look, here’s the deal—she was taking him in for regular nebulizer treatments, but last week things got really scary because he had some major airway obstructions. He ended up hooked up to oxygen for two whole days at the hospital. The inhalers just weren't doing the trick anymore, you know? Eventually, they cleared him to come home, but now she’s gotta go out and grab a specific inhaler with a mask so she can put the drops directly into the device
