Good grief, Nathan Cox25, you’ve actually turned into a total professor 👍
I might just have to hire you 😍

Sophia Brooks4, you sell stuff just like that😉

Hey, quick question...
At the bakery, they told us that 7 ounces per person should be plenty, and we’re looking at a max of 90 guests for the wedding. So, I was wondering—do you guys usually take the cookie boxes already filled up and hand out one to each couple as they head out? Or do you wait until most of the guests have cleared out, then just pack whatever is left on the dessert table into boxes for the last few people hanging around?? Honestly, I hadn't even thought about this yet... and now I really need to give them an answer.🤷

It really depends on what the younger crowd decides to do.
My sister-in-law grabbed 25kg of sweets just as a joke—and to hand them out to everyone.
We’re going to pass out treats to all the guests, though we might tuck away a little extra gift for those who went above and beyond helping with the wedding, or just for our favorites.

I wouldn't personally suggest doing favors with the cookies, but if that's the route you want to take, every guest really ought to receive their fair share. In that case, you'd want to have everything packaged ahead of time rather than just handing out the leftovers.

thanks girls, I think I'll grab some cookies for everyone... probably just those little individual boxes, you know, just a little something sweet.
and of course a little gift for everybody too, hopefully that's enough. for the ones who stick around until the very end, I'll see if there are any leftovers and try to pack them up somehow... maybe...

I'm with her on this one.

So, I went ahead and ordered for everyone since I was already at it, might as well go big, right? 😉

👍
At the end of the day, it’s usually just your closest family, best friends, and godparents left hanging around anyway... and honestly, it’s only right that they get a bit extra—maybe even a slice of cake if there's any left over 😉
so you might want to plan on having a few of those larger dessert boxes on hand just in case

Hey everyone,
Does anyone have any good pastry shop recommendations in New York City? ☕

Even though I had some treats from Emma at the wedding a few days ago (which, by the way, were killer), I actually swung by Sugarland the other day.
Ladies, let me tell you, it’s pure magic 🙂 I tried the Ice Wind cake, a four-layer chocolate one, and a cheesecake. Honestly? Total perfection. They’re a bit on the pricey side (I think it's like $40) per pound, but they are absolutely phenomenal.

I mean, the pastries at Sugarland are seriously delicious... but man, they are way too expensive...
It’s just like when I was getting a quote for a cake and the lady told me she basically dreams about her cakes $17... I was honestly a bit shocked..

God, and here I am acting shocked when things are overpriced $3.25 🤣 😂

What kind of cake is even $17 a piece??
I think I'm just gonna hit up M&M's for some cake and sweets.
I'm at the stage where I'm keeping things simple... I don't have the energy to wander around anymore. I just grab everything from the local shop down the street. 😂

Does anyone know where I can pick up some really nice wedding pastries? I have a little baby at home, so I honestly don't have the bandwidth to go hunting around for options. I’d be so grateful if someone could suggest a few spots in Washington, D.C. or the surrounding areas...
What’s the verdict on the sweets over at Absalom? I’ve heard they're pretty great, but I was wondering if anyone here has actually tried them...

The dessert situation is settled; we snagged them from Mouse this weekend. 🎉
I was torn between them and Absalom, but I went with Mouse—my godparents served them at their wedding, and honestly, they just taste better than Absalom's.
A kilo is $20, plus shipping from Columbus to the Grand Market costs $50. At Absalom, a kilo is $18, but with shipping being $67, the difference is only $17.
I ordered 20 kg for about 120-130 guests. I didn't want to overdo it; every bride I talk to says they ended up with way too much cake. Since our wedding is in the summer, people will probably eat even less sweet stuff in the heat anyway.

Absalom is alright, honestly. Prices are cheap. Personally, I prefer the ones at the Two-toothed mouse near the Riverbank (about 20 miles outside of Columbus). I mentioned the prices in a previous post.
Your options depend entirely on your budget. In Washington, D.C., you're looking at anything from $75 up to $40...
