😂 Honestly, the only neighbor near my mom’s place had the nerve to laugh and tell me straight up that my face was totally distorted! 🤣 And look, she wasn't lying. My head feels huge. At least she’s being real. Everyone else plays this fake, sweet game—you know, the whole "Oh, you look gorgeous, nobody can even tell you gained 35 pounds!" routine. Well, they can see it, they just choose to lie about it to my face! 😠 But frankly, I don't care. It doesn't get under my skin. Nobody touches my stomach except for my aunt. She’s the only one who actually wants to cuddle the baby. With everyone else (my brother, my sister), I practically have to bribe them just to put a hand on him to feel the kicks. They act like he's a hot potato, terrified they're going to squeeze him too hard. 🙄

Yeah, well—me? I just flash a proud little grin and say: "I'm not fat, I'm pregnant!" 🙂 😁

A friend of mine actually looked at me and said, "You've put on some weight." So, I just told her straight up, "Yeah, that's normal—I'm pregnant." And her response? "Why are you getting so defensive right away?"
🤷 Honestly, I don't even know what to say anymore...

Honestly, my emotional instability is getting out of hand. We were stuck in some brutal morning traffic yesterday and my husband just lost it—started screaming profanities at some jerk who cut him off, and I just burst into tears??? Like, why does he have to yell so aggressively...🤣

It honestly surprises me that my husband still doesn't know what Ajax or Clorox even is, or what they're used for! 🤣
It also catches me off guard how I haven't been able to catch up with any of my pregnant friends or coworkers lately,
though we're all here... I just can't seem to make it happen.
I really don't get why, either... it’s just like I have zero free time... the whole day just slips away.
And I keep thinking to myself, if I don't have time now, when will I ever have it?
What’s really getting to me... I don't even know anymore... I think I'm just getting on my own nerves!
I find myself crying quite often because I've overthought something, but then again, I've always been a bit of a crybaby.
So, I guess it doesn't surprise me too much right now.
But I am genuinely shocked at WHERE on earth those 10 pounds went!
Nobody even notices that I've gained so much weight... everyone acts like I only put on 5 pounds.

Then the scale hits me right in the face when I finally step on it!
And honestly, it's so frustrating that my husband won't just buy a digital scale for the house!!

LOL. Honestly, if I were overweight, I’d be hearing those comments every single day from my husband and even from people who don't have a right to an opinion. To be fair, it’s nothing new to me because I feel heavy even when I'm not pregnant, but why on earth would anyone direct those kinds of remarks at a pregnant woman? I just don't get those people.

And the emotional instability? Oh man. It's real. First, I’ll burst into tears, and then immediately start apologizing for crying (that’s actually happened to me more than once, just with my husband).

I used to hear about how much people love placing their hand on a pregnant belly. It’s one of those rare things I actually get to experience, and I love it, but I really wish my husband would listen for the baby's kicks more often. 😢

Well, I think my father-in-law might have gotten a little too brave after a few drinks—he actually looked at me and said, Hey there, gorgeous! Honestly, all I wanted to do was fire back with a quick, Hey there, drunkard! But, I suppose I decided to hold my tongue instead. 😁

Haha, maybe... 🤣🤣
No one calls me "gorgeous" yet, or anything like that... except for my husband... but if they did, I guess I don't know if it would actually bother me that much.

😂😂

That whole "hey, little mama" greeting really gets under my skin.
And the absolute worst part is when people stare right at my stomach and then ask if there's a baby in there. Like, what? It’s obviously a baby. It's not like I'm just carrying around a heavy lunch.
There's more to it, I guess, but that's definitely the peak annoyance.
It's also weird how I always seem to get cut to the front of the line everywhere. People just let me pass without me even asking. I suppose because my bump is so obvious, everyone assumes I'm about to go into labor any second.

Good for you,🙂 I'm only three weeks out from my due date, but honestly, nobody lets me skip the line because I still look more like I just ate a massive burrito rather than being pregnant.🤷 I mean, it's not like it isn't obvious, but my belly isn't quite huge enough for people to feel bad and say, "Oh man, sorry, didn't notice!"☕

Which reminds me... I was at the DMV recently getting my new ID updated. And apparently, at like sixteen different windows, there's a sign clearly posted saying "Pregnant women and people with disabilities have priority." So, I head up to the front, skipping the line, and I finally reach the counter—then this woman just cuts right in front of me. I actually asked her if she felt bad cutting in front of someone who's visibly pregnant... I mean, so what? Even the clerk at the window stepped in and asked her what her problem was, pointing out that I'm pregnant and have priority. But whatever, she just claimed she was tired and couldn't stand anymore... ☕ We all just stood there in this awkward silence—me, the clerk, and her, looking at each other blankly😕 and she wouldn't budge. It wasn't until the clerk practically started yelling at her to get back behind the line or just leave the building that she finally moved and let me through.🤷

The funniest part, though? After I finished my business, I had one more thing to do at another window, so I hung around for maybe ten minutes. That same woman who shoved her way in front of me was still standing there waiting, and at least a few people had gotten in line before her. It was so obvious she wasn't even next in line; she was just trying to force her way to the front.🤷 What a jerk.☕

My stomach is definitely showing through my clothes lately. Yesterday at the DMV, a woman behind the counter actually called me over to skip the line. Honestly, I wasn't complaining. I'm pretty lazy and I usually can't stand trekking through those government buildings just to wait in line forever. So far, I've only had to update my ID since my last name changed, but now, thanks to this belly, I'm ready to tackle all my other paperwork without having to stand around with the rest of the mortals.🥳

God, honestly, am I really the only person on this planet who would actually try to do some prep work and find out what paperwork is needed to register a newborn before it even happens? 🙄
I mean... a few days ago I went down to the registrar just to ask about the requirements, especially since my partner and I aren't married. I walk up to the counter, explain what I'm looking for, and this woman asks me when the baby was born. I tell her "not yet," and she nearly fell off her chair from the shock. She’s all like, "How can I help you if the baby isn't even here?" So I told her I was just trying to get ahead of things and figure out the registration process. It took everything in me not to lose it while trying to squeeze an answer out of her 🙄 Anyway, moving on... Today I headed over to the Department of Justice to grab a proof of residency certificate for myself, because I figured I'd need it to sign up for Medicare & Medicaid and to apply for that one-time local government grant. Since I was already out, I thought, hey, let's just get this done now so I'm not dealing with a massive headache later once the baby arrives. Honestly, I almost lost my mind right there at the counter—if I hadn't, I probably would have taken someone out 🙄
Me: Hi, I need a proof of residency certificate.
Her: For what purpose?
Me: For registering a newborn with Medicare & Medicaid and for the local grant application.
Her: When was the baby born?
Me: Not yet.
Her: 😲 Well, then I can't issue that to you.
Me: But I need the certificate for *me*, not for the baby.
Her: You'll get that once you register the child.
Me: Again, it's for my own records, and I want to have it ready so I don't have to spend forever waiting in lines once the baby is here.
Her: Does the child have a father?
Me: 😲 Excuse me???? Of course they do! Look, can I just get the certificate or not???? 😠
Her: You can, but it won't be valid for what you want. (She rolled her eyes so hard I genuinely felt the urge to slap her)
Me: What do you mean it won't be valid? Why wouldn't it?
Naturally, I didn't get a straight answer from that idiot 🙄 And she's probably somewhere right now telling anyone who will listen about how some "hysterical pregnant woman" came in asking for paperwork today 🙂 whooooooops !!!!!!!
So, after waiting in line for an hour (thank God I managed to find a seat), I basically told her I wasn't leaving without that paper even if it was the last thing I did 🙂

Sorry for the long rant, but I seriously needed to vent.

You aren't!😁 I was doing the exact same thing. I wanted to make sure I had everything ready before heading down to the local government office—I know how much of a headache those bureaucratic lines can be if you show up unprepared. I called them on the phone, though, so they were actually quite pleasant since they assumed the baby had already arrived.🙂

Steven Reed said:Yesterday I received my first "compliment": you're looking fat 🤣
Naturally—my mind went straight to 🤣 🤣
I honestly just burst out laughing 🤣

Then my aunt dropped by for a visit and goes, "Well, at least you aren't fat yet." 🙄 I mean, seriously? That isn't exactly a glowing remark either! Is it always going to be about our weight?
Anyway, I told my husband how much I vent here because people can be so incredibly tactless when it comes to pregnant women and their bodies—he knows I have zero patience for that kind of talk.

By the way, he hadn't even seen my mom in six months, but he understood perfectly when she suggested I was getting heavy
The people defending her didn't even get through the front door before they started in on him—telling him how inappropriate that was, how much I hate those comments, the whole works. It was a full-blown monologue, loud voices and everything!
I tried to calm him down, and then he told me I wasn't fat, but the poor woman was just so flustered and overwhelmed that I don't know what I said to make it worse! 🤣

Honestly, my husband is driving me up the wall 🙂
I’ve asked him at least five times now where the camera batteries are so I can snap some photos of the garden, but he just keeps questioning why on earth I even need them instead of actually handing them over!!! 🙂It’s so frustrating because I’m usually the one who knows where everything is kept, yet somehow, I can’t find them anywhere 😢
On top of that, my sister is being completely elusive and won't pick up her phone no matter how many times I call
Anyway, I'm going to go grab something to eat and try to calm down !!! ☕

It seriously drives me up the wall when I get to the checkout line, especially when I'm dealing with a toddler and a baby in the stroller—everyone suddenly thinks they have some urgent need to push right past me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like, it’s not like I only have one or two things to grab.
WTF?? As if standing there waiting isn't hard enough! Honestly, I might have been a little too loud at the Target today, but my patience was just totally shot with people shoving their way through.

It’s driving me crazy today. It is such a gorgeous Saturday outside, and I was all geared up to go for a long walk or finally tackle a deep clean of the apartment—honestly, I can't remember the last time I actually felt motivated to scrub the place top to bottom. But then I get started, and five minutes later? I’m winded, my stomach is aching, and I can feel the baby pressing low, forcing me to just sit down and rest. And I’m only 22 weeks along! 😲
Everyone spent my entire first trimester telling me how the second trimester would be pure bliss. They promised no nausea, a manageable bump, and enough energy to conquer the world...
Well, sure, the cravings are there, but the actual stamina? Nonexistent.
Now I’m starting to panic about how I'm going to make it to my eighth month if I’m already hitting a wall after five minutes of movement. 😢

I'm pissed at myself for being too lazy to call BC in that small town in the Midwest before we left, so half the stuff on my list wasn't even there. 😠 😠

However Co., I made up for it by buying a bunch of random crap I didn't even need. 😵

Now I have to head back out in a month to grab the stroller, the AS, and all those other things that were missing today. 🙂

I'll actually be smart this time and call ahead to order everything I need.

My husband is driving me absolutely insane today. Our daughter refuses to eat a single bite. Apparently, because she’s turning her nose up at my cooking, it must be "bad"—as if I’m some amateur. It's funny how she clears her plate every single time she's at his mother's house, though.
