Well, try forcing it with willpower and see if the baby actually comes... 🙂 trust me... all you've got is willpower, otherwise you're just screwed...
As for when the baby refuses to come even though you want them to, that's a whole different headache. Personally, late May works great for me... my son always gets perfect weather for his birthday... 😉

p.s. the current state of things at the office is driving me insane... 😢 I don't know if any of you have dealt with a boss who genuinely doesn't grasp his own job, but honestly, it feels like the absolute worst-case scenario for a company. And there’s no teaching him anything because, in his mind, he’s already the smartest guy in the room just because he ran his own small business for years. He doesn't seem to realize that running a hotel chain and managing a dental practice aren't exactly the same thing... unless we start treating toothaches like a hospitality issue. It's exhausting.

Btw, don't forget I'm about to tip MTA AGAIN—heading into New York City this Friday afternoon, and wouldn't you know it, the driver is that same jerk from the 248 route. And get this—the idiot is sitting in his little booth, driving AND smoking. 😲
Just great. Not like it’s a closed environment or anything.
Seriously, what a total caveman. I've been avoiding indoor smoking since I found out I was pregnant, and now I've gotta deal with this guy poisoning me on the bus?! Honestly, I’m speechless. Such absolute trash... 😠

Nausea, nausea, pure nausea. It’s been constant all day. No vomiting, just this endless, rolling sickness. Whether I eat or don't eat, it doesn't matter—nothing changes. Honestly, it feels like I’d be better off if I could just throw up, but I can't. Just constant misery, day and night. 😢

I’m past the point of being genuinely annoyed, but what really got under my skin last night was my husband—he actually tried to talk me out of being frustrated. 😬 🤦

I’m feeling the exact same way about this nausea—it’s honestly so frustrating. I’m already five months along and I still get hit with it from time to time! It’s definitely better than it was at the start; I can actually brush my teeth in the morning without an issue now (which, let me tell you, was a total nightmare for about two months), but every once in a while, that wave of sickness just hits me out of nowhere and I have no idea how to handle it... Usually, I try to eat something to settle my stomach, but then I end up feeling incredibly bloated, which just makes everything feel even worse. Honestly, there are moments where I’d rather not eat anything at all, though I have managed to put on about 13 pounds so far... 🙄 )

I’m just getting started here, but even before this, I was getting the creeps—now, hearing these older women claim a 4 or 5-month-old baby is going to "come alive" or something? It's wild. 😱

Whenever people ask when my kid is finally gonna "wake up," 😱 it honestly makes my skin crawl. Plus, I feel like my husband just loses it—he immediately feels the need to explain himself and correct their nonsense... and then he just gets sucked into these endless arguments with the old ladies. 🙂

My mother-in-law. Just a primitive old lady, honestly. I tried explaining it to her. She just doubled down. Same old story. ☕
Just now, some thread about animal testing in the Beauty section set me off—someone wrote a description saying they kill "rat KIDS" because of "irrelevant stuff." 🤦
Let me be clear right out of the gate: I pay close attention to this. I don't support testing. I buy from brands with the Leaping Bunny logo (or the gray one if I absolutely have to), but seriously, what the hell... "rat KIDS"...

This weather is driving me insane. I finally decided today was the day to run the first load of baby laundry, and now it’s just drizzling outside and nothing is going to dry... 😠

And honestly, I know once the Sun actually comes out tomorrow or the day after, I won't feel like sorting and washing anything anyway. I'll just want to be out hitting the shops and buying a mountain of other stuff I need...🙄

I'll be honest—at first, I didn't even get what they were asking. 😬 Honestly, when someone asks me during early pregnancy, "Wait, is the baby actually alive?"—I just lose it. Like, seriously? Of course it’s alive! How else would I be pregnant in the first place? The heart is literally thumping away... it’s not exactly a mystery. 😕 And then those "experts" would try to explain to me what I'm supposed to be feeling... like they actually think I can't tell when my baby is moving. Give me a break.😛

Luckily, I’ve only had that question thrown at me once, and let me tell you, my blood pressure hit the ceiling. Of course, I had to sit that person down and explain that my child is very much alive 🙄

How do you all handle those moments? For instance, how do you even begin to explain that your baby is actually alive without losing your mind over those incredibly foolish comments—whether they come from some random lady passing by on the sidewalk, or a mother, a mother-in-law, a godmother, a close friend, or just any number of other people?
Even I had a distant relative in her thirties ask me if my baby had "come back to life"—I honestly just laughed in total confusion because I couldn't quite wrap my head around what she was even trying to ask, so I simply told her yes.
It’s such unnecessary drama, isn't it?

But anyway, getting back to the main point—nothing gets under my skin or irritates me anymore. Honestly, I feel absolutely wonderful!
I wouldn't say I'm usually someone who ignores the small stuff, but ever since I became pregnant, I’ve found myself looking at everything through rose-colored glasses, focusing on the sunshine and the butterflies, and I am truly loving every single minute of it!

All those stupid questions don't even annoy me—they just leave me totally confused. 😵

It’s just like those weird looks I get sometimes—like I’m some fifteen-year-old kid with a massive gut. 😁

Well, we just don't feel like doing it... which is exactly why we get so frustrated. 😬
And then we end up venting about it right here... 😬 😬

Unfortunately, at least in my experience, it isn't really a choice of whether you want to be bothered or not. It just happens. I get worked up, even though I know deep down it's stupid and unnecessary and shouldn't matter, but it's an instinctive reaction and, sadly, there isn't much you can do about it! 🙄 🤷

My sister’s gynecologist seriously pushed my blood pressure through the roof today.
I had a 9:20 appointment, so I played nice and waited until 10:00. Then, I just knocked on the door like a normal person, told her my scheduled time, and asked when I could be seen. Of course, she immediately caught an attitude with me...
When I finally got in at 10:20, she was looking at me like I’d personally committed a crime. She checked my BP using some weird gadget, didn't even glance at my urine sample, and then just slammed my referral onto the desk like she hated me—PLUS she told the doctor I was being "difficult and complaining"...🙄 Like, seriously, get it together! What is even the point of making appointments if you're just going to make people wait for hours?😵

It honestly drives me up the wall when someone just keeps drilling and drilling and drilling away somewhere in the neighborhood without any intention of stopping.

I’m honestly so frustrated with myself. My parents help me out so much—honestly, I don't know if I could even make ends meet in my current situation without them—yet I still find myself snapping at them for absolutely no reason. The second I lose my temper, I suddenly feel like I'm the smartest person in the room and everyone else is just an idiot, so I start lecturing them. Then, once I calm down a day or two later and realize how ridiculous I was being, the guilt hits me hard, usually when it's already too late to take it back. They always just look at me with so much love and tell me they only want what's best for me. I love them so much, which makes it even worse when I act this way. I really hope I can move past this soon. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to keep my cool in those moments. Ugh...

Here's a little consolation
your hormones will eventually level out, or at least get somewhat steady, about a month and a half after giving birth
it took me until just now to finally feel like myself again
