I can't stand this stupid "surviving in the wilderness" show concept—you know the one—where some hyperactive meathead drags himself through random backwoods, from deserts to rainforests, acting like he's actually "surviving." The whole thing is just a massive, testosterone-fueled macho ego trip, featuring some idiot killing innocent animals just to have a bite to eat or to feel warm, all while pretending he's some kind of genius 😠
And honestly? As much as the concept and that guy bug me, I’m even more annoyed by "intellectual" men like my husband, who sit there watching it like they don't realize a full camera crew wouldn't last five minutes if that terrain was ACTUALLY inaccessible. Most likely, as soon as those cameras cut, the guy crawls right back into some luxury RV with AC and caviar for a pedicure... 🙄

Ugh, I am seriously losing my mind because it is freaking 90 degrees in my house right now, and even with the fan blasting, it feels like absolutely nothing is happening! To make matters even worse, my little guy is running a fever of 100.8, and he seems totally fine while I’m over here feeling all swollen and sluggish, basically having to baby him through everything!!! I just can't wrap my head around how on earth he managed to catch a fever when it's a blistering 104 outside 🤔 😠

Feeling under the weather? Honestly, this heat is getting to me too—it’s just so draining. Let me go check the thermostat real quick... 😛driftingcobra7, it's actually 86 degrees in my place!

On a different note, my back is killing me again. I think it's because I was stuck in one position for over 20 minutes during the CTG, which is a bit frustrating since I was actually feeling pretty good about being mobile again yesterday.

Yup, looks like he managed to get sick :nezna:

I would honestly trade anything right now just to have those two degrees of difference! 😁

..and then there's the back pain and the pelvic bone ache.. 🙄 ..you're basically ready to pop any second, while I feel like nobody even notices me anymore..but man, it hurtsttttttt 🙂 ..ugh..though, I'm not sure how it feels for you, but for me, it seems to hurt the least when I'm actually moving around..sitting for a long time (anything over thirty minutes), lying down, or trying to sleep is just pure torture, I can barely even get up, everything just goes crack, pop, snap... ouchhhhhh 😛

I find it absolutely fascinating—and by fascinating, I mean utterly baffling—when my friends, who already have kids running around and have long since moved past the newborn stage, will proactively offer to lend me their old baby gear, only to completely lose track of the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, thank God we’re in a position where we can just go out and buy whatever we need ourselves, but if you aren't actually going to follow through, why even bring it up in the first place? It’s like opening a door and then immediately slamming it in your face. And then, once I’ve gone ahead and purchased everything new, they suddenly become experts on my parenting choices, lecturing me about how I "wasted" money on stuff they could have given me...🙄 It’s quite the irony—I end up being labeled the snob just because I’d rather have something fresh instead of hand-me-downs. Give me a break!

I ended up driving myself absolutely insane digging into research about third-trimester fetal loss. 😢

It's the exact same story with me. Or they tell me, "Hey, let me know if you need anything," which is just useless. How am I supposed to know what any of them even have sitting in their garage or what they don't need anymore?😕

MadnessInMethod said:anyway, can you just lie on your ass for three months because, I don't know, you broke a leg? just a random thing that happens to coincide with being pregnant. (all you need is enough imagination, and finding an alternative excuse where I'm not some total psycho is easy enough. if you want. if not, fine, I'll just change my handle to Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees)

No way. 😳 😛
Second bolded part: what if you lack the imagination, but you have plenty of malice and zero empathy for others? Then we end up with this☕
Look, go ahead and crucify me, but: reading a harmless comment about weight and seeing a psychopathic curse about complications and risking the baby's life—well, damn, I honestly think there’s something broken in your head... You can interpret that comment in TWO ways; why take the twisted, dark humor route instead of the sick one? To me, that says more about how someone reads than about the person who actually wrote it...

I remember once seeing a woman on here say that some acquaintance of hers deserved whatever tragedy hit her just because of how she acted.
It honestly sickened me to see one woman wish that kind of thing on another, regardless of what she’d done.
I wondered what kind of mindset you have to possess to even think that, let alone type it out. But look, this is a public forum; we can't see facial expressions or real-time reactions, we only see the words on the screen. That’s why it’s smart to think twice before hitting post—we don't all process things the same way. What might seem like a harmless jab to you feels like nothing but a nasty comment from one woman to another to me, especially since you only know people on MiM through their writing. 🤷

A smarter woman would have just said: God forbid she ever has to go through what I went through, and may she have an easy life with zero problems.

That’s exactly what I wished for that user mentioned earlier, and I hope that's what actually happened. 😉

I’m not the type to talk behind people's backs, so I’ll just be direct about how I saw and felt this situation.
MiM wrote something—likely without thinking it through—that wasn't exactly classy. My guess? She was just angry and phrased it clumsily, which made the whole context look bad.

Furthermore, Anthony Watson35, I don't think there's any point in fanning the flames, and that's exactly what you're doing right now, which I'm not a fan of. 😉

Hats off to you; you're a better person than I am.

Let's be clear: I NEVER want anyone to endure a botched abortion and a D&C, followed by unexplained bleeding and being stuck in bed for a month, too terrified to even get up to use the bathroom. NEVER.

But for her—specifically because of how recklessly she slept with someone who clearly didn't care about my mental health (and actually ramped up the intensity once she realized it bothered me, just so we're clear)—I genuinely hope she gains at least 20 pounds that she can't lose and ends up with a backside like a heavy-duty filing cabinet. (And yes, that includes wishing her a decent husband for some regular intimacy, a successful pregnancy, and a healthy baby... plus those extra 20 pounds. I won't bother her about it, unlike her, since she made my life miserable over the 50 pounds I gained. But whatever.)

Look, >, I’m not claiming to be some saint compared to you or anyone else on this board. Maybe I’ve just realized I need to watch my tone a bit more carefully if I want to stay out of trouble here 😉
. I don't think you're actually being malicious, but I totally get why Livada reacted the way she did 😉
.
Honestly, I wouldn't wish even ten pounds of extra weight on her. When you step back and look at your life versus hers, you're winning by a landslide—simply because you're actually happy, regardless of the chaos
. The only thing left to feel for her is pity. Everything else? That's on her conscience
.
Take care of yourself and hold onto that tiny bit of peace you have 🙂. Nothing else is worth the stress
.
Livada, I’m saying the exact same thing to you 😘

Lately, moms with strollers have been driving me absolutely crazy at the grocery store. 😬
I totally get that you can't just leave a baby out on the sidewalk, but seriously, ladies—you don't need to shove the stroller to one side and then block the entire aisle with your other arm! It makes it impossible to even reach the shelves. 🤷

I honestly don't get what the goal is, but hey, maybe I'll just get a concussion from a rogue stroller today. 😁

I had an even worse experience at a supermarket once: a couple walks in, grabs separate carts, and starts coordinating who’s handling which section. Then they realize they forgot to agree on something and just STOP right in the middle of the entrance, carts side-by-side, to chat. There was nowhere to go—you couldn't get past them, and since we were at the door, you couldn't go back. They just kept talking, totally oblivious.🤦

Exactly right.
This thread is meant to be a place where people can vent, not a playground for fighting and insults.

So, please, stick to the topic and try to avoid those massive, exhausting arguments and the constant finger-pointing.

Thanks.

I know from at least five different instances that those who curse others eventually face the consequences themselves. If anyone wants to live that way, be my guest. ☕

Jason Lee2 said:My godmother really got on my nerves last night... It’s not my fault her marriage is hitting the rocks. And it's certainly not my fault her husband was all over me. She spent the whole evening in a foul mood because of it, then had the audacity to tell me I’m going to gain 20 pounds by the end of this pregnancy. Honestly, screw her and her 20 pounds. Even while pregnant, I weigh less than she does, and I look better after a month of barely leaving the couch than she does after hitting the gym every single day! :2up:
I'm pissed—but I just want to see how she handles it when she's stuck on bed rest for three months with nothing to do but go from the bed to the bathroom. Then we'll see if she gains 2 pounds or 10. :2up:

Don't let it get to you, dear. This bed rest will be over soon enough, and then you can walk around with your little one as much as you want. As for her comment, just let it go in one ear and out the other. Trust me, people like that hate it most when you simply don't care what they think.👍😉

I absolutely loathe the non-standard tile height in this new apartment. It’s completely wrecking our entire kitchen layout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😠 😠 😠 😠 😠 🙂 🙂 😵

edit: And it's driving me crazy knowing I have to be up before 6 AM tomorrow because our shift starts at 7. 😠 Now I can't sleep, which means another inevitable blowout with my husband over the kitchen, then staying awake until 3, inevitably needing some Xanax, passing out until 5:50, and basically being a zombie all day tomorrow....aaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!😠

Actually, a mother of four wrote that to me right here on this forum—about three months after I suffered a stillbirth during one of these online discussions..
She told me I clearly deserved to lose my baby in the third trimester and that God knows who He chooses to bless with children.
It was a long time ago—three years back—but whenever those words cross my mind, I get chills. Even today, it honestly gives me chills..😢

That's horrific... nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody, deserves that.
