Michael Hernandez50 said:I couldn't agree more with ajreen; it feels like nobody gives a damn about what I’m going through, and even now at 37 years old, I am constantly battling these agonizing pains and contractions that leave me barely able to stand, yet people just turn their heads away the second they catch sight of my stomach... it's absolutely unbelievable...
And then there's the endless barrage of phone calls where everyone insists on asking me, "So, did you put on weight?"—because I used to be so thin—and now that I’ve gained about 40 pounds, they act completely shocked, as if it's some massive scandal, when in reality, I’m practically nothing but skin and bones...
Not to mention those ridiculous reactions regarding the baby's gender; we have so many friends who have daughters but are desperately wishing for a son, and the moment I mention I'm having a girl, they start making these obnoxious comments about how we're all stuck with girls... it is honestly just appalling...

Back when I was pregnant and already knew I was having a boy, I ran into an acquaintance who has a daughter.
She asked if I knew the gender, and when I told her it was a boy, she goes: "Oh well, hopefully your next one will be a girl." 😕👎
What an idiot, acting like it actually matters.

What really gets to me is this constant underlying anxiety—this mental loop of "what if" and "how to," just trying to ensure everything goes smoothly. It’s the physical toll, too; the struggle of bending over to handle the million little tasks I used to do without a second thought, having to watch my step in ways I never had to before, the insomnia, the inability to get comfortable... it's a lot.
But there are only two months left until the baby arrives. 😍

Honestly, I’ve been feeling the exact same way lately. It’s exhausting. I’m getting tired of my own neuroses. I just can't deal with the constant worry anymore—that persistent tightness in my chest, the sharp stabs of anxiety. It's relentless. 😢

Honestly, I’m at the point where I just want to curl up and nap right alongside my Golden Retriever. We are both absolutely melting under this heatwave. There are still 18 days left until the due date, and I don't know how much longer I can wait... If this weather keeps baking us like this, I won't be able to go anywhere during the day, and even the nights aren't providing much relief. It's impossible to get comfortable; I'm constantly sweating, thirsty, and my legs feel like lead weights. My ankles and knees are just terrible 😢 and they're driving me crazy—as is everyone else around me, especially the people I run into at the grocery store or out in town. They're killing me with those mindless comments like, "Are you really still showing that little?" or "Why aren't you in the hospital yet?" or "When are we actually going to celebrate?" Just absolute nonsense!!!!!! And then, to top it all off, I end up spiraling into my own paranoia!!!! I just need everything to go smoothly with the baby; I'll worry about my own recovery later. I have my check-up this Friday, so we'll see how things are looking then.

During my last pregnancy, it felt like I was totally invisible... everyone just looked right through me. But now? Suddenly I'm getting all these "miracles," like people actually letting me cut to the front of the line. I know exactly what the catch is, though. I'm seven months along and I've gotten so huge that everyone assumes I'm about to pop any second... haha

I'm happy for you.
I remember standing in line at the DMV just a day before I gave birth, and not a single soul would let me go ahead of them, no matter how much I asked the clerk... so, I guess that's why I always let pregnant women with big bumps go first... unless I'm in a massive rush. 😛

Surprised? I didn't realize I could eat this much... 😁

I'm 16 weeks along now. Last week I stopped by my OB-GYN's office to ask if pregnant women get any kind of priority. No issues there.

That's wild. But honestly, if I were in your shoes, I probably would've said something too.

What’s the most annoying part of this pregnancy for me?
Probably the fact that I'm still pregnant and the little one clearly has zero intention of making an appearance anytime soon.
Plus, every single morning by 8:00 AM, I wake up to a mountain of missed calls and texts. It's always the same thing: "Is it time yet?" or "Any news?"

I honestly can't deal with these temperatures hitting 90 degrees and climbing—it's getting ridiculous. I feel like I'm literally melting out here.🙏

I’ve always been pretty shy by nature, so there was never any chance I’d be the type to push my way through a crowd, but lately? I tell everyone—no apologies—that pregnant ladies get priority, and I just head straight to the front of the line (and I just tune out all the complaining) 😁 Pretty soon I’ll probably start sighing loudly and clutching my lower back just to really sell the performance 😍

It's so annoying, I think I developed an allergy to some random weed or something, and now I can't even take any allergy meds 😢

I’ve still got about six weeks left until I give birth, and honestly, I just can't seem to get any sleep... It’s getting really frustrating dealing with all those comments like... "just sleep now while you can, because you won't be able to later." As if by getting a decent night's rest right now, I could somehow build up some kind of "sleep reserve" to use later on... ?? 🙂 I guess I'm also just worried that the baby might end up being one of those babies that sleeps through everything. 🙂

So far, the nausea has been the absolute biggest shocker... I honestly had no clue it could be this brutal!! It’s not just that typical "ugh, I don't like this" kind of disgust where you can just power through it... it's more like a full-on visceral revolt—like if you even catch a whiff of something or try to take a bite, you feel like your entire body is going to turn inside out!! 😲 ...and the weirdest part is that my nausea didn't actually go away after eating; it was the exact opposite... I couldn't force myself to eat a single thing!!
And honestly, it's driving me insane how EVERYONE keeps pestering me about work!! Since I don't have a steady job right now, people are acting so weird about it—they all claim they're "concerned" and start asking if I'll have enough money, what my rights are, how I'm going to manage, what I'm going to do next, and so on and so forth... 🙄
There's plenty more where that came from... 😁😁

Only six weeks left until my due date and I haven't slept a wink. Between the complications, being on strict bed rest because of constant contractions, and these brutal leg cramps... it's a mess. On top of that, my tablet alarm goes off every three hours. And then there's everyone with those "just enjoy it now, you won't sleep later" comments. Like, seriously? I’m not sleeping now, and they have no idea about the anxiety I'm actually dealing with.

It drives me crazy when I try to vent and all I get is, "Oh, just be glad you aren't in the hospital." Yeah, no kidding. Of course I'm glad I'm not in a hospital bed—it’s way easier to recover at home for a few months. But sometimes, when I'm having a brutal day, that doesn't exactly make things better. Still, whatever. It's all for the baby.

I am in the exact same boat. My due date is November 17th, and I've been stuck in bed for nearly two months because of preterm dilation. I'd do anything for my kid, but man, there are days when I am just completely over it—the bed rest, the full-body cramps, the literal fear of even going to the bathroom, the isolation of being alone all day... And whenever you do dare to complain, it's always the same old story: "Be glad you aren't in the hospital," or "Think about how many women have worse complications..." blah, blah, blah. Oh, and regarding people cutting in line? I think that died out ages ago; I was actually shocked to realize that men are way more polite about it than women are!

Mine is November 18th, haha. Planning on delivering at the local hospital... you?
I spent the first three weeks in bed, then three weeks by the beach enjoying myself... and now here we go again—stuck in bed, limbs tingling, going crazy... while simultaneously counting down the days.
Yeah, I noticed that too. If anyone ever stood up for me on the subway or let me go first in line, it was a guy, or maybe even some high school kid (shocking, I know). Girls that age can be brutal...

I was honestly floored by something that happened at work recently. I'm working in retail, and during a big sale, this pregnant woman tried to cut ahead of the line to the register—and this old lady already waiting in line just started absolutely screaming at the poor woman. She was like, "What do you think you're doing, you little brat? I didn't spend my whole life working in the fields just for you to jump the queue!"
Anyway, I'm heading to Peterson's soon, and the paranoia is starting to set in—not to mention the fact that I haven't even started prepping anything for my little terror!

Honestly, those bitter old women just get under my skin so much; sometimes I feel like I want to lose my cool with them!
Instead of showing a little compassion—especially since they know exactly how tough things can be—they act completely nasty, probably just because someone didn't go out of their way for them decades ago. What a disgusting kind of spite, really. Just awful.
And let's be honest, an old lady actually stepping up to help you? That happens about once in a blue moon 👎 ,
whereas an older gentleman will practically jump to his feet the second I ask for a hand getting onto a city bus. It’s wild how different people are!
Do you see what I mean? 🤷
I really don't intend on turning into one of those bitter old ladies myself, mostly because seeing how some of them behave is enough to make anyone shudder...

Luckily, I picked up bits and pieces while I was still feeling okay... Now that I'm stuck in bed, my mom and sister are handling everything else. I just sit here on my phone, feeling pretty bitter, trying to micromanage what they do and don't do. But my doctor said I can head out for a quick coffee or a morning walk if my stomach behaves, so maybe a quick trip to Dell will be my escape.

I've been losing sleep over one thing—what's actually going to happen once my girl gets discharged from the hospital.

I suppose I fall into that rare category of people who actually enjoy their pregnancy...😍

Sure, there was morning sickness, and now heartburn has joined the party... sleep is hit or miss due to leg cramps or having to run to the bathroom three times a night... plus, I am perpetually thirsty... though some days are actually restful. I stay active, but today the contractions are acting up a bit... so I'm just lying here, feeling like a whale for the first time in these 33 weeks... I've put on about 20 pounds, more or less. Nothing major...

But what truly gets to me is when I sneeze and end up wetting myself...🙂

Oh, please, don't even go there with all those old wives' tales and superstitions... you might accidentally wish for something bad, and then you'll be left wondering if your little one ends up with a scar because of some silly thought you had.

Don't get distracted by anything, especially not some sick individual...

No one should ever stand right in front of you while they're hunched over and facing your way...

And apparently, you aren't allowed to bring a crib into the house until the baby is actually born...

If a pregnant woman has a difficult delivery, they say she was carrying a girl because girls supposedly steal all your beauty...

Or if you deal with heartburn during pregnancy, it’s meant to be a sign that the baby is going to have a lot of hair.

I can't even go out in the sun, otherwise, the baby will "cook" inside the amniotic fluid.

...and all that other nonsense... honestly, I live with someone who believes in this old-fashioned superstition stuff and you wouldn't believe it, though you know what gets under my skin more than anything else? It's when my mother-in-law tells me that my baby is going to "come back to life" soon... good grief...

I don't know which is worse... lying here alone in my apartment or listening to this kind of nonsense from you....What happens when you actually have a kid and they finally "come to life"?
