Sometimes it just drives me nuts when people ask where my belly is, like they're looking for something that isn't there (no, seriously, I'm as flat as a board 🙄). But I've realized it’s usually coming from people who are actually overweight themselves—by their logic, I should probably have a beer gut or something. And then the "are you eating anything?" questions. No, obviously not, I just starve myself all day and let the baby go hungry just so I can stay fit ☕
I don't get what they want from me. I've had the same weight for like 10 years, I've never even hit 110 lbs, so what? Did they think I was gonna turn into some massive elephant overnight 🙄

As for people sticking their noses into naming stuff... honestly, I don't know if I should be happy or annoyed. One side of the family doesn't just ignore the name thing, they basically don't care about anything else either. Still trying to figure out if I should even care 🤣😛

I think you might be being a little too sensitive about this... personally, my husband calls me fat, along with some close friends. It’s always meant as a joke, though, because I’ve never actually been overweight—I’ve always stayed right around 110 pounds, but lately, I’ve put on about 20, and it’s all settled in my stomach. Honestly, it doesn't bother me at all; if anything, I find it somewhat endearing.

What really gets under my skin are those certain people who have been teasing me since day one, asking where my bump is or commenting on how I look as an expectant mother. To me, it feels quite insulting because, as far as I’m concerned, no woman develops a pregnancy belly overnight.🙄 And now that it has actually grown quite a bit, one of these individuals actually had the nerve to tell me today that I don't even look six months pregnant, suggesting I look like I just swallowed a watermelon.🙄🙂

I was honestly on the verge of snapping back and telling her how pathetic it is that someone who isn't even pregnant looks more heavily pregnant than I do.

I guess I just don't understand the logic behind the idea that once a woman becomes pregnant, she's automatically expected to become a gluttonous mess.😕

John Wilson9 said:I suppose I’m not wrong in noticing that those kinds of comments mostly come from people who are overweight. I’ve overheard them quite a bit, and while it was easier to just tune them out before I was pregnant, they still manage to raise my blood pressure every now and then. Next time, I might just suggest they get themselves some glasses, because I am certainly not lacking in the midsection department right now 🙂

From what I’ve experienced, it seems to be true. It’s almost always women with fuller figures making those remarks. I used to listen to them before I was pregnant and it really got under my skin, but now... well, let's just say it's even harder. I've always been quite thin, and now, suddenly, puff! I'm pregnant, and it feels like I have to turn into a heavy-duty construction vehicle overnight! 😁
It’s just nonsense. Honestly, thank God I don't have any extra weight to lose; I'm gaining exactly what both the baby and I need, and I truly don't see why it would be any better if I were obese. 🤷

I don't really mind if my husband calls me fat. Honestly, he does it all the time—calling me "chubby" or "sweetie"—and I actually find it quite endearing. My dad and mom say the same thing, too. But when someone else says it (like one of his buddies), it just feels different... we aren't exactly close like that, I guess. Maybe that’s why I don't particularly care for him anyway.☕

Yesterday, my husband ran into an old childhood friend of his, who happened to be there with her kid. During our chat, he casually mentioned we’re expecting, and she immediately started grilling us about when the wedding is and what kind of ceremony we're planning. 🙄
We’ve decided to just tell everyone to check back with us in the year 2050 at the local nursing home; they'll be officially invited then. 😁

It isn't just you, either—other women in similar situations deal with this too—so I really don't see why everyone gets so worked up about it. 🤷
Ultimately, it's your call whether you want to tie the knot now, wait until after the baby arrives, or just skip the whole ceremony entirely.
The reality is that we still live in a pretty traditional society, and people are always going to have these kinds of questions...

I actually find it pretty funny how nobody has even breathed a word about our wedding for years 😁. Honestly, if they had asked, we probably would have just said we were already married, and then they wouldn't have known what to make of it.

Now I'm genuinely curious if anyone will dare to ask anything once my bump starts showing... I didn't want to get married until I was certain we were actually having a baby. That was my call, and regardless of how much my husband wanted to marry sooner, I didn't budge. It looks like we'll likely have both the wedding and the baptism on the same day, which feels really beautiful and romantic to me. We're at an age where 🤣

I also wonder if anyone will realize that the baby was conceived before the wedding. 😂.....

That seems to be the standard assumption these days. As soon as you conceive, you're expected to eat for two and pack on the pounds, otherwise people assume you aren't caring for the baby ☕. I've been feeling quite frustrated lately because I'm four months along, and since my bump isn't visible yet and I haven't gained weight, everyone assumes I'm obsessing over my figure 🙄 and that I'm somehow endangering the pregnancy. It is truly absurd how people can be.

We’re probably going to do exactly that, and the more I dwell on it, the more I love the idea. 😉 I’m even thinking about keeping it a total secret from our parents and everyone else—just surprise them at the baptism. 😁

Nobody asks us anything; a few nosy ladies in our apartment building and some of my parents' neighbors poked around once, but I don't bother with them.

It really is nonsense. If your metabolism is naturally such that you don't have much of an appetite, why should that have to change so drastically just because you're pregnant?
Well, I have actually started eating more now that I'm pregnant and the weight has started coming on, but by some people's standards, I'm still a very thin expectant mother. 🙄 I mean, I have a bump—what, am I supposed to suddenly balloon up everywhere else too, like my arms, legs, and face? 🙂😁

Hey there, sunčica 🙂
Just wanted to say hi! I still remember our time in culinary school—and specifically that chocolate pie of yours (since we're talking food 😁). I was just thinking I really need to whip a batch up again—yum! 🤣

My friend from my CrossFit gym keeps insisting that I’ve put on some weight. Honestly, he’s such a hypocrite, it’s infuriating... especially when you look at him. I finally snapped and pointed out that he’s clearly packed on a few pounds himself, though apparently, the trainer at his gym wouldn't even let him through the door today (they were supposed to be hitting a session together). It just gets under my skin so much whenever he opens his mouth to comment on my body. And of course, thank God, he makes sure to bring it up every single time we cross paths! What an absolute jerk ☕

Honestly, I’m not even particularly thrilled by all this; I just find it hard to believe how people think they have a right to stick their noses into business that isn't theirs. From commenting on a pregnant woman's weight or the shape of her belly, to questioning her marital status or what she plans to name the baby... it's relentless. One woman actually had the audacity to try and feel my tiny bump. ☕

Some random lady actually grabbed me right there in the grocery store... good grief...

It was actually kind of sweet when a couple of my guy friends were messing around and poking my stomach one day 😍 I mean, one of them has been my absolute best friend for ages, and the other is basically just my girl friend's boyfriend. It didn't bother me at all.
Lately, people I'm not even that close with haven't really touched me🙂

And look, it’s not that I’m super annoyed or anything, but it feels weird how everyone keeps badgering me about getting married, like they're worried about how I'll have kids if I'm not married or something.😲😲
The second they find out I'm pregnant, it's nothing but "So, when's the wedding?!"🤣😕

It’s kind of sweet at first, though I guess it gets old eventually. But I'm pretty high-energy, so maybe I'm just different... I think I'd probably lose it if someone touched my stomach (besides my husband or my mom).🤣 🙂

Here is what gets under my skin most:
First off, managers who have zero empathy for what I’m going through. They just pile work on my desk until I'm drowning, then have the nerve to smile at me while I'm clearly running on fumes and total exhaustion. 🙂 One of them actually told me regarding my pregnancy announcement, "Let's see if you can even make it to the finish line." 🙂🙂

Second, the acquaintances, neighbors, and random people who feel entitled to touch my belly. Even after I explicitly say, "Please don't touch my stomach," they won't listen. When I finally have to snap at them to get them to stop, I'm immediately branded the rude one who's "ruining" her pregnancy by being difficult. 🙂 🙂)

Third, those judgmental older women who love to comment when I can't find a seat on the subway, the bus, or a park bench. They act like I'm being disrespectful or lazy. Of course, in their minds, they all gave birth working manual labor in the fields and went right back to work while the baby was probably just left out there. 🤣

Fourth, the morning sickness... honestly, I have nothing else to say except I wish it would just go away already. 🙄

At least the pregnancy itself isn't a burden, 😁 so I'm finding ways to stay happy through it all. 🙂

I’m allergic to that too... nobody ever stops to ask if there might be a reason why I'm sitting down. 🙂
And don't get me started on people at Target who have zero spatial awareness and end up slamming their shopping carts into my stomach. 🙂

I was at Chase today and nobody would let me cut the line—which left me feeling a little prickly—but since I wasn't in a rush, I just waited. Once it was finally my turn, I made sure to loudly remark to the entire lobby about how they clearly have no priority system for pregnant women. Then, the gentleman ahead of me turns around and goes: "Oh, excuse me, you're so thin I didn't even realize you were pregnant." 🥳 Suddenly, I wasn't even mad anymore. 😬

The only thing that actually got under my skin was the passport fee, $132, I mean—are these people out of their minds???? 😲
