It makes it sound like I accidentally ended up pregnant and now I’m being forced into a wedding at lightning speed!
I mean, seriously—how much of an idiot do you have to be to have a "surprise" baby after you've been together for seven years?
I honestly hate hearing those comments; I don't even feel like explaining myself to anyone... but I just can't wrap my head around the fact that nobody seems to grasp that we've been in this relationship for seven years already. We had already agreed to get married—it just wasn't happening *this* year—but we decided we wanted a baby right now! And that's it, end of story—I'm already worked up all over again. 😉

I completely understand where you're coming from!! And I truly agree with everything that was said here... because I am actually in the exact same situation myself....

I suppose there isn't much I can say other than this... we had originally intended to hold our wedding this coming spring, but then we found out we were expecting a baby, so we decided to move everything up and tied the knot at the end of last year.

And of course, people are going to claim that we only got married because I'm pregnant. It's almost as if the fact that we’ve been together for several years and had very serious intentions all along just doesn't matter to them.

It was quite frustrating to deal with at the time, though I suppose I don't really care about those comments anymore.

Tell me about it... people can be so small-minded. If you aren't pregnant, they find something else to judge you for. You just can't win with them. 🤣

Well... I suppose the reverse wouldn't be any good either, either. 😁

Well, look, I got married without being pregnant, and let me tell you, it didn't go well at all. When I told people at work I was getting married in September—it was January at the time—they immediately hit me with: "Oh, are you expecting?" As if, if I were actually pregnant, there's no way I would have waited eight months just to tie the knot. 🤣

After six months of marriage passed without a pregnancy, they started asking, "So, what are you waiting for?"
Once we hit the one-year mark, the gossip started: "Poor things, they're probably going to have issues."
By the second year, people were literally inventing diagnoses for us and shoving unsolicited advice on how to conceive down our throats.

Then, when I finally did get pregnant after two and a half years of marriage, suddenly everyone’s tone changed to: "Aww, poor things, I feel so bad for them, they had such a hard time."🤣

What was the absolute worst part? Honestly, I think we really went through the wringer. Getting pregnant was such a struggle for us, and we even dealt with two miscarriages along the way... but man, looking back, maybe it was just meant to be that we didn't have more kids, and we were supposed to just focus on enjoying our marriage and traveling instead. 🤷

It’s a sad reflection of our culture... just pure, unadulterated small-mindedness and provincialism...

Nobody seems to grasp why people even get married if pregnancy isn't the primary motivation—though, perhaps it's because people simply love one another and want to build a life together, whether children are involved or not...
But if a woman happens to get pregnant, suddenly it feels like the child was the only reason for the wedding in the first place...
Well, goodness, if a child is truly someone's sole reason for marrying, then I must be a complete fool for not understanding that logic, because in my view, a child shouldn't be the catalyst for a union... since it would honestly be better for a child to be raised by a single parent than to grow up watching a loveless marriage and, heaven forbid, learning about "love" from such a broken example...

And honestly, people can be so incredibly dense—it’s just frustrating when they refuse to see the obvious
I say, just tune them out and stop letting it get under your skin... it's really not worth the energy 😉

The most bittersweet moment for me was when they told me we couldn't have children
Poor souls... they were absolutely at a loss, just wandering aimlessly without a clue what to do with themselves 😂

I have this one friend who actually played it smart—she ended up pregnant by a guy she wasn't even in a serious relationship with, but they made a pact right away not to get married. Honestly, I can't even begin to describe the absolute nightmare she avoided by doing that 🙄 They actually get along famously; he stays on top of child support, drives them to doctor appointments, takes the kid for walks, and they even grab lunch together now. Everything is smooth sailing. As for how they would function if they lived under the same roof? I really have no clue

Then there’s another girl from my school days who rushed into marriage after just one month because she was pregnant. At the time, everyone in town acted like it was perfectly fine. Fast forward a few years, and they went through a brutal divorce filled with nothing but bitterness and resentment; they can't even stand to be in the same room anymore. Meanwhile, her kid is five now and has already grown used to having both parents in one house. I can't even imagine the shock they both went through when everything fell apart.

1. It’s not like I’m actually annoyed, but it is kind of hilarious when people ask if I’m pregnant—especially since I’m already 31 weeks along! :-)
2. Because I’ve been dealing with ureaplasma since the start, someone close to me decided we were being "irresponsible" (basically implying we were having sex like rabbits). It couldn't be further from the truth, and I can't get them to see that. I would never, ever risk the baby's health for sex!!!!!
3. My best friend really let me down. I expected her to at least check in via text more often, but... nothing. Not to mention we haven't seen or even spoken to each other in ages...

Yesterday I found out she’s been calling every single family member, acting like the self-appointed expert on what our baby should be named... even though we haven't spoken in six months, nor have we seen each other, thanks to her constant manipulative games. Honestly, I am biting 🙂 Lastane just to keep myself from ripping her into a million little pieces if she ever decides to show up at my front door demanding to see the child.🙂
edit: In the meantime, her son has gone and completely lied to her about 🙂

It’s the absolute first thing everyone does—before they even bother asking how you are or how the baby is doing. Instead, it’s straight to the interrogation: "So, how many pounds did you put on?" followed by all this unsolicited life coaching... "You really have to watch it, you know, so you don't end up looking like a pig later."

Look, I’m not Heidi Klum—I don't exactly have a runway show to walk three days after giving birth.

I have never been overweight, and I have zero intention of becoming so, but right now? My priority is my baby's health. Everything else is secondary. It’s just maddening how people jump straight to my body instead of actually caring about my well-being.

It really bugs me when people ask how much longer is left...
And then they act all shocked about my size... honestly, they can just go jump in a lake image image

Honestly, what’s driving me crazy right now is that I can’t just go out and grab a massive bottle of Afrin nasal spray to finally clear this damn congestion!! And don't even get me started on how I can't just overdose on some Advil Cold & Sinus effervescent—which is usually my absolute go-to when I'm feeling under the weather. It's infuriating... 😁

And to top it all off, I actually managed to get sick right now!

Oh, Lauferk—get this—some guy wandered into my yard today. He’s apparently a friend of my father-in-law, though I’ve never even seen his face before. He looks at me and goes, "You must be seven months along with a belly like that... but what kind of pregnant woman are you, having absolutely no backside?" Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 🙂
I just told him straight up: I'm a modern pregnant woman—we don't put on weight everywhere else, just in the stomach. 😁

As for me, I find myself worrying that once I finally start looking like a pregnant woman, people will point at me and say, "Where is the belly?" because even though I have one, it might not look big enough for how far along I actually am according to the calendar 😕 🤷

And don't even get me started on the scrutiny over whose stroller or crib we bought... just talking about strollers already sends my blood pressure through the roof, and if they hear what I think about today's overpriced cribs, they'll lose it 😍. I truly cannot wrap my head around why people feel the need to nitpick and debate every single little thing... I'm not out here trying to manage everyone else's opinions or prove how pregnant I am 🤷 I don't even bring it up to anyone, but since I'm constantly being interrogated, I'm actually starting to lie about it just to avoid dealing with such sheer stupidity...
