I honestly don't have the energy or the patience left to answer the phone when it rings. I really don't.

That’s exactly how it went during my first pregnancy—I ended up going nine days past my due date. 😁
That’s why I’m telling you, my appointment is set for May.

Man, what a nightmare is coming my way... since I had my second baby at 35 weeks, I've already been dealing with these comments from random passersby and neighbors... basically, "Oh, you made it to nine months, so you can probably go any day now" or "Are you still stuck at home?" Just nonstop.
The due date is March 22nd.

My annoying mother-in-law is really getting on my nerves 🙂
She keeps telling people who don't even notice me that I have a huge belly. Like, why do they care? 🙂
It's sooooo annoying! 🙂 🙂

My mother-in-law actually dropped by my old office yesterday (I’ve been retired for two years now) and started acting all crazy about how she’s finally going to become a grandmother 🤦 I find myself wondering if there will ever come a day when she just stops being so dramatic... but clearly, it serves her just fine if we stop speaking altogether... the constant acting, the martyrdom, and these endless little power games..............

Well, my wife actually told me the last time she saw me, "Yeah, you've definitely put on some weight in your backside, and maybe a tiny bit in your chest..."

But honestly, no way... I’ve got about 25 pounds sitting right on my stomach... besides, I have a mirror, I can see myself just fine!!!!
I really can't stand people who feel the need to comment on someone's appearance or their weight, even when they're pregnant...
Look, if you have something genuinely kind or positive to say, then sure, go ahead, but if you don't, just keep it to yourself, for goodness sake!!!!!!!

Or maybe they just resort to that once they've run out of anything else interesting to talk about and start grasping at straws... 🤷

So, I posted a photo on Facebook today because a coworker hadn't seen me in a while. I wanted her to see me, but then she calls me out and says, 🙏"Hey, your mother-in-law keeps saying you have a huge belly, and I used to think you were shaped like a barrel, but looking at this photo..." Well, I honestly felt like throwing hands. 🙂

That’s exactly why I don’t post any pregnancy photos on Facebook—I just can't deal with all the unsolicited commentary from strangers...
I haven't even bothered changing my last name since our first year of marriage. 😁
For me, Facebook is just for mindless scrolling and nonsense; anyone who actually wants to see how I'm doing or what I look like—people who are actually close to me—already has my number or my email, so they can just get photos via text or email instead.

That’s exactly why I went ahead and posted a photo on Facebook!!
Because before I even got pregnant, everyone was always breathing down my neck with those "oh, just wait until you're pregnant" comments... implying I'd just balloon up or lose control or whatever... so honestly, it felt pretty good to put an image out there and prove them all wrong... I've always been stubborn like that image

Exactly... I stay in regular contact with my true friends, and we see each other whenever our work schedules allow it...
Those who live further away receive photos through email... whether it's me or the ultrasound shots...
But honestly, I have absolutely no desire to let anyone explain to me where I lost weight, how my body is changing, how much I've gained, what I'm eating, and so on.
Since becoming pregnant, I've been avoiding social gatherings just to dodge those endless questions... if someone truly cares, we'll talk on the phone or catch up in person...
And even after the baby arrives, I don't think a single photo of the little one will end up on there... I'm seriously considering just deactivating my account altogether...

Honestly, young moms are getting on my last nerve lately with all their questions. I’m just not in the mood for the endless sob stories about labor, how "terrible" the nurses were, or the whole "it was such a struggle" routine filled with tears and misery. 🙂
One girl actually asked me, "Omigod, are you just dying to give birth??" And I’m like, no, actually, life is great right now. I feel amazing, and since I've still got three months left, I’m perfectly happy keeping this baby tucked away inside me for a while longer. But she just gives me this look like I'm being weird, saying she couldn't wait to get hers out and basically implying I'm not enjoying this enough. 😕
Then they hit me with the, "Can you imagine being in my shoes in just a few months?" Like, newsflash: I’m not even thinking about that yet. 🤷 Instead, they're always like, 😲 "Oh, I can't wait until mine is big enough to eat this and that..."
Just leave me alone, okay? I'm doing fine. I'm vibing with the baby, we're having our little moments, and eventually, the day will come when they actually show up. It's not like I got pregnant just to keep them trapped in there forever. 🙄

My mother has started getting on my nerves lately; she keeps lecturing me with this constant refrain—"just you wait until you see how many sleepless nights you'll be facing," and honestly, what the heck? As if I haven't already realized that everyone goes through the exact same thing...

hiddenscout362 said:Well, look, I got married without being pregnant, and let me tell you, it didn't go well at all. When I told people at work I was getting married in September—it was January at the time—they immediately hit me with: "Oh, are you expecting?" As if, if I were actually pregnant, there's no way I would have waited eight months just to tie the knot. 🤣

After six months of marriage passed without a pregnancy, they started asking, "So, what are you waiting for?"
Once we hit the one-year mark, the gossip started: "Poor things, they're probably going to have issues."
By the second year, people were literally inventing diagnoses for us and shoving unsolicited advice on how to conceive down our throats.

Then, when I finally did get pregnant after two and a half years of marriage, suddenly everyone’s tone changed to: "Aww, poor things, I feel so bad for them, they had such a hard time."🤣

🤣My experience was almost exactly the same! We got engaged over a year ahead of time, and people still had the nerve to ask if I was pregnant. I mean, good grief, how could I be pregnant when the wedding isn't for another 14 months?! It would have had to happen way earlier than that, right? WTF!?
And then the ridiculous questions just kept coming;
During our first year of marriage: "What are you waiting for? Is there something wrong with you? Are you guys even trying?"
About a year and a half in: "Are you guys having issues?"
By the second year of marriage, once I finally got pregnant, the questions shifted to, "When is your husband's brother going to have a baby???" Seriously? Wtf? 🙂 Why should I care about his timeline? When he makes one, he makes one! 🙂

Honestly... the silly questions just never seem to end 🙄

We’ve checked off the wedding, we’ve navigated the pregnancy... and I haven't even given birth yet, but people are already grilling me about when we might want a second child 🙂

Good grief, can't they just let me focus on getting through this first stage and finding my footing? I don't think I'll even be thinking about a second kid anytime soon 🙄

Omg, it’s like you’re reading my mind—I’m actually waiting on my third right now... all those questions literally drove me insane during those first couple of years.
Now it’s a whole new level of annoying; every time my aunt calls, her first move is, "So, have you put on weight?"🙄
(And I've already dropped 30 pounds! Since I'm tall, you can barely tell, but it's always the same story—she knows exactly what I weigh because I lost like 35 pounds instantly during both my previous pregnancies... I eat plenty and I don't care, but she didn't even bother asking if I was doing okay or if everything was fine, you know?)
Then comes the kicker; she passes along a message from my sister-in-law: "She told me not to hold my breath for a girl—it's basically impossible to have one in this family."😠
I don't even know why I'm getting so worked up over it—but honestly, if they were standing right in front of me, I would've absolutely laid into both of them.

We got engaged back in the summer of 2010, and immediately, everyone started hounding me with the same stupid question: "So, when are you having the baby?" I was like, excuse me? WTF? I’m not even pregnant, people! Then this old lady actually looks at me and asks, "Well, why else are you getting married then?" I nearly fell over from the sheer audacity of it. What a ridiculous thing to say. Anyway, the wedding was July 9, 2011. 🙂 March 23. I found out I was pregnant just one week after the wedding. Anyone with half a brain could do the math on when we conceived, but that's our private business. I was already a bit curvy at the time, and when I ran into that old woman again, she smugly says, "See, you did get married after all, since you're pregnant now." Apparently, that kind of rudeness is trendy these days. Good grief. If she weren't sixty years old, I would have straight-up leveled her. 🙂

Ugh, I totally feel you right now... 🙄

I only answer calls from my parents at this point... and even they're starting to get on my nerves with the endless "how are you feeling" questions.
I just don't want to see anyone until the baby is actually here because that is literally the only thing anyone wants to talk about!!!!!! When am I doing it? Am I okay? Is anything hurting? Just stop.🙂🙂🙂😠
