Honestly, this whole discussion could easily be centered around mothers-in-law and pregnant women...

So, I don't have a mother-in-law, but instead, I've got a father-in-law who really speaks for himself. Honestly? Not a pleasant guy at all. He hasn't asked me how I'm doing even once, but he sure loves dumping useless, pointless chores on me—as if being pregnant is just some tiny little thing!
One day, when he saw how swollen my legs were getting, he actually had the nerve to comment that they wouldn't be so puffy if I didn't lie down so much and actually walked more. And then, to top it off, he mentioned I’ve put on weight! 🙂
But oh yeah, he always makes sure to ask if the little guy is still a boy and what we're naming him... like, maybe we should name the kid after him? Yeah, right, like my foot!!! 🙂

I stay incredibly polite mostly because my family and I live in a multi-unit house—we have our own separate apartments, but we’re all close by. I know there are plenty of times when he just stays quiet about things, so I do the same.
The only real difference is that my family never meddles in our decisions. I'm honestly so grateful for that.🙂

Think 🙂
Mine doesn't bother me much, though she’s definitely an outlier.
Every single time we leave an appointment, she demands to see the ultrasound images and then spends hours complaining about nothing. 😂
I usually have to grab a Xanax just to keep my cool before we even walk out the door. 🙂

Yeah, mine were exactly like that during my first pregnancy. Now I'm pregnant for the second time and nobody says a word. Not during the scans, not "oh wow, look at your belly," not asking how much longer, or how I'm feeling, or where the photos are, or if the baby is kicking... nothing. Just silence.

At least they let me sit down.🤣

Honestly, she doesn't even remember when my last checkup was—we basically have to hand her the test results ourselves just so she can take a look. She hasn't even laid a finger on my stomach once. All she does is constantly harp on about how, if Bob wills it, everything will turn out fine 🙂—and then there's the endless pressure to eat, acting like I’m going to send her some barley porridge or something instead 😂
. At this point, I know better than to count on her for anything—whether it's now or when things get really difficult down the road. Everyone looks out for themselves 🤷

Personally, I’m just happy when people leave me alone and don't ask too many questions. To be fair, my in-laws would probably meddle way more if I actually gave them something to work with; this way, they're satisfied with just the bare minimum 😁

It’s incredibly irritating how everyone feels entitled to give me unsolicited diet advice. My mother-in-law actually had the nerve to ask why I was eating chocolate. I’m eating it because I want to.😳

😂 Thomas Lopez68, here's my take—she tries to bribe me with chocolate every single time, and I shut her down

Honestly, what gets under my skin more than anything else right now is this acne. I am dealing with such a massive breakout—it’s like I’ve been thrown straight back into the worst parts of puberty—and I have absolutely no clue how to fix it. Everyone keeps talking about that supposed pregnancy glow and having perfect skin, but clearly, that isn't happening for me.

If anyone happens to be interested, I could probably find a way to pass along some chocolates of somewhat questionable origin and ingredients 😁
They aren't exactly premium brands, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them quite a bit... 😁

Mine is exactly the same...😉
but I barely see or hear from her. Since I've been pregnant, I've only seen her four times total... and she lives just a five-minute drive away.

Why the refusal? 🤣Send her my way. My husband won't even go to Target to grab anything because he's terrified I'll gain too much weight...

Same thing happened to me, but mostly at the start. It's fine now, though it's still sensitive to the touch... I've always had skin issues, so it really stressed me out then.

Me too... mine are finally starting to calm down slightly, but I still get at least one painful breakout every single day.🙂

And yeah... my hair is getting way oilier than before. It used to be greasy quite often, but now I feel like I practically have to wash it every day just to make it look decent.🤣

Hi everyone... since I retired, I haven't actually seen her in person... she just sends me lunch through DoorDash every single day 🙂 Anyway, knock on wood... she's an absolutely wonderful woman and I have nothing but praise for her 🙂 I truly hope it stays this way..

I’m not pregnant right now, but looking back at my pregnancy nine years ago, my skin was an absolute disaster zone.
I had these acne breakouts that felt more like open sores scattered all over my face and body; my skin turned incredibly oily, and despite having naturally thick hair, it thinned out significantly—it even got to the point where my long eyelashes actually fell out and grew back shorter.
It sounds completely insane, but I swear it’s the truth.🙂
Once I finally gave birth, the struggle with those breakouts just wouldn't end, forcing me to choke down massive doses of antibiotics, and it took a solid six months before things finally settled down.
And this is coming from someone who has always had skin as smooth as a baby's bottom...

I honestly just lost my cool at the grocery store today... it totally threw me off. Basically, there were three different lines, and every single one had about ten people stuck in it with massive carts full of stuff. So, I’m there—thirty-one weeks pregnant and feeling every bit of it—and I approach this guy and politely ask if he could let me cut ahead since I only have one thing. And he just looks at me and goes, "Well, I only have one thing too, so you can wait just like me." Like, seriously? 🙂

I am seriously so annoyed with AT&T right now😠😳 😠
Those totally inconsiderate seniors who always seem to be rushing to get through the door before my belly—which, let's be honest, is already starting to make its own entrance—and then they just let the door swing back and smack me right in the stomach...

And I looked in the mirror and realized my face looks all "weird," which honestly caught me off guard, because I don't think I even recognize myself sometimes...
