just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm stuck inside all day... scrubbing floors and ironing everything for my husband 🙂🙂 yeah right, as if 🙂🙂

Lately, I’ve been getting irrationally annoyed by that one brain-dead phrase people always drop: "As long as they're alive and healthy!" Seriously? If you don't have anything intelligent to add to the conversation, just shut it.

Yesterday my mom’s grandma called me out of the blue just to ask if my baby had come back to life... 🤦
I was like, "He's been alive since day one, otherwise I wouldn't have even gotten pregnant," but she just looked completely lost. She kept repeating, "No, you know what I mean, is he ALIVE?!" and I just kept giving her the same answer over and over...
For a second there, I honestly thought she believed babies could actually die and then just spontaneously respawn halfway through a pregnancy.

I find it frustrating how easily I tear up over the smallest things.
Then there are the people who just watch and poke at my belly while making noise: Beyoncé!!!
They do it all the time when they see me; it felt silly at first when I didn't even have a bump, but now that I'm nearing my due date, it’s honestly just exhausting.

As for grandmothers, they really seem to believe a baby "comes to life" later on. Mine told me she realized her own pregnancy was progressing because she got a sudden fright, and then she just knew 😕.
I suppose I get where they're coming from, though. They had much less information about pregnancy than we do today—not to mention my grandmother never even bothered going to her prenatal checkups.

During my first pregnancy, I couldn't stand how people would constantly poke at me and call me "fat,"🙂 and honestly, all those horror stories about labor pains and how terrifying childbirth was really got under my skin. Toward the end, what bugged me most was how everyone acted like they were doing me a huge favor—using that patronizing "oh, you're so lucky" tone—when I found out I had to have an emergency C-section early on due to some abdominal health issues. I was actually heartbroken because I really wanted to deliver my baby naturally,😢 plus it felt like everyone just completely ignored me in checkout lines or waiting rooms, especially during that final stretch when I was showing the most.

Then, with my second pregnancy, the thing that annoyed me all over again was being called "fat"😳
I probably would've just complained loudly in line, haha! I mean, if someone’s going to let me go ahead of them, fine, let me go.
And then there was the constant commentary about how "lucky" I was to be having another C-section, while they all acted like poor souls who had suffered through agony and nearly died in the delivery room. Honestly, they can just forget it,🙂
In the end, I actually ended up having a vaginal birth, but that's beside the point now.

I suppose for my third pregnancy, the only thing that might get to me is if people start calling me "fat" again—I really hope that'll be the only thing that bothers me.

I don't think it's silly at all, really. In fact, I'd say it's the greatest blessing there is.🙂 I guess people don't even realize how truly happy they are when they have healthy little ones right there next to them.

That's exactly why bringing it up is pointless. Nobody wants a sick kid. Maybe I’m just on edge because I’ve only got three weeks left, and all I want is some peace and quiet instead of being bombarded with all this negativity.

My brother totally threw me for a loop. I’m calling him up all happy, like, "Hey, I'm pregnant!" and what does he say?? "Well, didn't you say you were done having kids!?" (Look, this is my second one, but I did say that after the first one seven years ago. After all those crazy complications—the mastitis and all that postpartum misery we go through—I just said it in the heat of the moment while I was totally lost, and apparently, he's been holding onto that grudge in his brain all these years.)🙂

I told him to stop talking nonsense, and then he’s like, "Why are you getting so worked up!?" Ugh, seriously!!🙄🙂

I was absolutely fed up with that constant heartburn... just burning from sunrise to sunset for nine straight months. And man, I was genuinely caught off guard by how much women's chests can actually grow during that time.🤣🤣🤣I felt like a complete mess, honestly.😂😂

Oh, they certainly do grow... My son is already four years old, yet I’m still sitting here two cup sizes larger than usual... and now, during this pregnancy, they just keep expanding... it truly is a phenomenon...😲

What really gets under my skin, though, is when my grandmother calls me, sounding completely panicked, to interrogate whether I’m doing okay because she had some terrible dream (which she then proceeds to recount in vivid detail) and fears something might happen to me or the baby... and then she spends half an hour lecturing me on being careful and taking it easy... as if I need more stress in my life... so I tell her quite firmly that I don't want to hear those things anymore because it only causes unnecessary anxiety, and she responds with such offense, "Well, am I not allowed to tell you what I dream about anymore?" NO...... please, spare me...🙂
On top of all that, I lost seven pounds during my fourth month because the morning sickness was unbearable, and honestly, I still struggle to eat anything at all; there are days where a simple bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup is all I can manage before feeling full, even though I force myself to eat more... and every single time, she asks, "Well, what does the doctor say? Is everything okay with the baby since you're losing weight?" Yes, every time I go in for a checkup, my weight loss and nausea are the primary topics of conversation with my physician...

Yeah, you wouldn't think they could get that big. Honestly, every time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I have this mental image of a cow, and I'm low-key terrified to see how much bigger things are gonna get after the baby arrives.

Lately, I’ve been getting really annoyed by people asking me, "How is your stomach so big?!" Well, obviously, it's huge—there's an actual baby in there. It isn't exactly going to shrink anytime soon; it can only do one thing, which is grow.

And don't even get me started on those ridiculous questions asking if I'm still "in one piece" or when my due date is—as if I haven't answered the exact same question forty times already this month!🙂

Nothing really gets under my skin; I tend to be indifferent toward comments.
But he was actually quite annoyed. At the grocery store, the cashier asked him what we were having, even though she’d already grilled me about it dozens of times and knows ☕. He just said it's a girl, and she replied that it doesn't matter, as long as the baby is healthy and safe 😂.
If you could have seen his face. Honestly, he looked more shocked than any pregnant woman facing a comment like that. I suppose people just lack boundaries sometimes 🤣 🤣.

So some lady I’ve never even met before walks up to me yesterday with this massive grin—probably thinking she just dropped some profound wisdom—and says, "I hope you have a son!"

I was literally carrying my baby girl and just lost it laughing... I mean, I've heard some weird stuff, but nothing quite this clueless

Like, sure, people say things when you're having a girl, as if it’s some big deal or something

But honestly? I've never actually run into someone being this ridiculous

🤷

Oh, right—my mom actually did tell Grandma that I was worried before the baby started moving—you know, when those first kicks happen. Everything is so unpredictable! Since the movement was so subtle at first, she didn't realize anything was happening. And honestly, who can say for sure that everything will stay on track until the end... unfortunately.😢

It honestly drives me crazy when people start calling me "mom"... things like, "Hey mom, how's it going?" or "How are you doing, mom?"
I mean, seriously, WTF? I am not their mother, and I’m not even a mother yet—I'm just pregnant... 🙄
And right now, I feel like if anyone besides my own mom tries to touch my belly, I might actually break their hand. 😁

The interrogation has officially begun, with everyone crowding around me to ask, "Have you had the baby yet?", "What are you still waiting for?", or "When do you think you'll finally go into labor?"
On top of all that, there are still those persistent individuals who seem to be holding out hope that I’ll eventually give birth to a boy to somehow "correct" my previous "mistake."
Honestly, people can be incredibly cruel.
