Anyway, thanks for the comfort!
🙂

Look, you can't really expect him to just jump into it immediately. You're feeling all these massive changes happening inside your body—he isn't going to notice anything at first, and then eventually he'll see you starting to curve out. That's when it hits him—that this is actually happening. Once you start feeling the baby kick and you put his hand on your stomach during those moments? That's when he'll really start checking in. My husband was the exact same way early on, but then he started picking up pregnancy books—stuff I thought was vital for him to read as a dad, just so he'd get what I'm going through. Now? He's always putting his hands on my belly; honestly, it's the cutest thing. 😁 Grab him "Dad's Guide" to start with, just so he gets the theory behind everything you're dealing with. Another one my husband read and was *so* into was "New Parent." It's written for both parents, not just the mom.
Just hang in there with him... you'll see—the second he feels that baby kick, everything shifts. 🙂

What was the deal with people attributing my reaction to "wild hormones"? It honestly drives me insane when I’m not even pregnant and someone tries to play doctor, assuming I’m just having some PMS meltdown the second I raise my voice.
The truth is, people are becoming increasingly disconnected, and you can really see it in how they treat pregnant women. Look, I’m not asking for everyone to coddle me, but when someone literally turns their head away from a pregnant woman standing on a subway car? That is a new low.
I’m six months along, and this lady actually snapped at me for not giving up her seat on the train, calling me a "bratty little kid." When I told her straight up that I’m pregnant, she just looked at me deadpan and said, "Yeah right, where's the belly?!"
Sadly, I didn't have my prenatal medical records on me to shove down her throat.

Someone mentioned earlier how pregnant women with smaller bumps face discrimination, and honestly, I couldn't agree more.

And don't even get me started on my mom. She’s obsessed with body weight, so first she’s lecturing me about being careful not to gain too much, and now that she thinks I’m "too thin," she’s suddenly worried I won't have enough energy for breastfeeding or getting up during the night. It’s infuriating because she acted like I wasn't even pregnant at all—forcing me to walk and stay active because "it's healthy"—even though I have a tendency to literally pass out if I overexert myself physically.

Right now, I'm 20 weeks along. It honestly irritates me when people make comments about being "fat," but I’ve realized I don't actually mind at all when they touch my belly; in fact, I find it quite sweet.

That's where things stand for now, though I suppose we'll see how much more intense it gets once this bump really starts to show.

So here I am—just a chill pregnant woman who’s already getting annoyed by certain things... or rather, certain people. 🙂
I honestly don't get why women who've already had kids feel the need to lecture me and dump unsolicited advice on my lap. It's always "don't do this" or "you absolutely have to do that"—give me a break. I'm going to do things my way, based on what I want and how I feel, not because she told me to.🙂

Nothing gets under my skin more than people who think they’re qualified to give unsolicited advice.

Right now, the nausea is killing me, and even fewer people realize I'm actually pregnant—it feels like everyone thinks they’re an expert... "you have to do this," "you must do that"... Apparently, if I don't eat meat, the baby won't grow... They completely ignore what my doctor told me, which was just to eat whatever I can stomach since hydration is the main thing for the baby... The worst part? Their nonsense is actually starting to get stuck in my head... arrgghhhhh🙂

What has truly caught me off guard is this overwhelming, indescribable sense of exhaustion.🙂
I find myself sleeping for fifteen hours a day, lacking any semblance of motivation, feeling completely drained, unkempt, and just generally physically broken. It feels as though I have been merely existing, without truly living, for three weeks now.🙂
Today, I lacked even the basic strength required to change out of my pajamas into something more suitable for being at home. I had intended to take a short walk outside this afternoon, but that plan fell through because I ended up collapsing back into bed for another bout of sleep.
And then there is this relentless, constant nausea.🙂Any food with even a hint of a strong scent makes me feel absolutely revolted. I sit there watching my husband eat his soup, while I can barely manage to 🤮
. On top of all this, I find myself bursting into tears over something as simple as a photo of a puppy or even a random commercial.😲
I am incredibly lucky that my husband is so wonderful to me—he is so optimistic and provides such steady support. However, he keeps trying to nudge me toward eating things like boiled chicken or similar foods, but I simply cannot bring myself to do it.😢

During my first pregnancy, I felt perfectly fine—active and energetic right up until the end. Now, twelve weeks into my second, I’m basically just a slug dragging myself around the house. I have zero motivation or energy to clean, go out, or do anything productive. All I want to do is sleep, lie down, and snack on junk because cooking feels like too much effort. 🙂

The thing that drove me absolutely nuts was all that "well-meaning" advice telling me to get as much sleep as possible during pregnancy because I wouldn't get any once the baby arrived... what a joke.🙂

haha, exactly... where is this legendary "pregnancy glow" everyone talks about? I went for blood work yesterday and the nurse actually asked if I needed to lie down. I don't get it, though I guess my dark circles probably stretched halfway down my face.😁

I could handle anything else, but the nausea... ugh.
But I'll push through it.🙂

A sharp pain just shot straight through my lower back—it was like a lightning strike—and now I’m stuck in this state where I can’t even lean over because I’m terrified I won't be able to get back up... honestly, even sitting down on the toilet feels like a massive risk right now. I feel completely useless...

Just like someone else mentioned earlier, I feel absolutely wiped out...

And yeah, here I am, wasting my time scrolling through mindless photos of puppies and clicking on random ads...😢

And there are still 50 days left to go ☕

I'm feeling pretty weighed down by this depression...

It’s actually surprising—even to me—that I’m not glowing; quite the opposite, really. I feel more like a sluggish polar bear🙂

I find myself unable to even squat down and stand back up without needing to grab onto something just to steady my bulk, which feels quite ridiculous given that we're only at the 22nd of the month, so I suppose one has to wonder what the state of things will be by the end of it?? And as for everything else... well, I'd rather not even go there.🙂

I honestly feel like I’m constantly fighting an urge to pee! 🙂 Sneeze—and it leaks. If I catch myself walking and suddenly lose my balance even a tiny bit? It leaks. Or if I just pass gas... it leaks. 🤣 Just when I finally get dressed in my freshly laundered maternity pants to walk over to Target, I'll step on something slippery on the sidewalk and try so hard to stay steady that my bladder just gives up on me. 🙄 I've always had a weak bladder, but right now? This is driving me absolutely insane.

I think the reason most guys don't offer their seats to pregnant women on the bus or subway isn't because they're being rude—it's honestly just because they're afraid of accidentally bumping into someone's stomach. I've actually had that happen before. On the flip side, women are usually pretty quick to offer me a seat; I guess they just know what it feels like, maybe. I even saw this one elderly man nearly get jumped because he asked a guy in his 40s to give up his seat on a packed bus. It got so intense the driver actually had to pull the bus over.
Plus, private doctor visits are getting ridiculously expensive... and even at the local clinic, they used to charge extra fees, which was a bit much back when I was younger.

I could sign my name to every single one of those points, whether it’s dealing with unsolicited advice from "expert" moms who weren't even asked, or just the blatant lack of manners you run into on a crowded Greyhound bus. And honestly, I have to throw in a massive shout-out to morning sickness—because nobody ever warned me it would be this relentless. It feels like it drags on for nearly half the entire pregnancy, just a constant, exhausting cycle. It's absolutely brutal.

Ever tried edamame?

I don't have heartburn issues yet. Just nausea on my list... but my stomach is still acting up and soaking up all that acid like a sponge...

I've honestly tried everything under the sun... and it’s such a toss-up because sometimes it provides a moment of relief, while other times it doesn't touch the sides. For what it's worth, I was dealing with constant vomiting too—just non-stop for those first four months—and nothing seemed to make a dent in it.

Dealing with low blood pressure during this pregnancy was such a headache; I couldn't even step out of the house without feeling like I might pass out until recently, but things are finally looking up... It’s just been frustrating dealing with other moms comparing bump sizes, and then having to track all these measurements just so they can compare, while my doctor hasn't even mentioned my weight or anything about the baby besides my hip bone 🤷
I'm also pretty stressed because I haven't been able to sleep at all this time around, and honestly, nothing feels settled yet. I'm only about six weeks away from my due date, and I have absolutely nothing—no crib, no stroller, no changing table, and not even a single dresser to put baby clothes in. Everything is just sitting on the floor, and I'm still trying to figure out where the kids will sleep or how we'll manage it all... it's a bit overwhelming ☕

At this point, I’m actually looking forward to heartburn because I'm already used to it... The nausea is physically and mentally draining. I'm losing my mind... 😢

I honestly can't decide if this was the silliest or most ridiculous piece of advice I've ever received.
Oh sure, I'll just go ahead and bank some extra sleep now, and then somehow store those hours away for later so I'm not exhausted when the time comes. Yeah, right...
