Honestly, it’s more funny than frustrating at this point. People keep asking when I’m finally heading back to work after maternity leave, and instead of giving them the usual answer, I just want to tell them: "I'm actually starting a whole new maternity leave." I don't feel like explaining everything to every stranger who asks—like how I got pregnant again just five months after the first one, or how it wasn't even planned because my husband is constantly away on business trips... am I forgetting anything else? 🤣 And then there are those people who genuinely think my new bump is just leftover weight from the first pregnancy. 🙂

Haha, people think the same thing about me—that I just haven't lost the baby weight yet, even though I've actually gotten thinner. Except in my case, I got pregnant right after my daughter's first birthday, and now I'm facing going back to work all over again..

🤣

Some woman from across the street keeps asking me—not just once, but twice now. I didn't want to raise my voice and make a scene for everyone to hear... so I just told her I’d take some vacation time first and then see about it... a diplomatic way to handle it ☕

My breasts are killing me... I feel like I'm dying already—and honestly, I'm terrified about what breastfeeding is going to be like if they're stinging and burning this badly right now. Everything is just... cracked and raw everywhere.😢

There was a point when they were driving me absolutely crazy, but things have finally settled down. They used to ache, too, but I'm over that phase now.

Ugh, since we're venting—mine hurt so bad that whenever I have to walk down stairs, I actually have to hold them just to get through it... the pain is unreal. 😳

Sighing on the subway. Honestly, the only real downside to being pregnant so far is this occasional lightheadedness I get. Because of that, I usually end up skipping a couple of trains just to wait for one where I can actually snag a seat. Of course, there’s always some 45-year-old lady hovering over me, letting out these heavy sighs. Just recently, one woman snapped at me in this super irritated tone, suggesting I should probably stand up. I told her I really couldn't because I'm pregnant and feeling a bit faint. She didn't even bother to argue, though—she just turned her nose up at me and looked away.

Yeah, typical.

Generally, nobody dares to sigh like that at the lazy people who sit there perfectly content, completely ignoring the elderly or other women around them.
Luckily, nobody bothers me, but if someone does have the nerve, I'll give them a piece of my mind. Why should anyone care why I'm sitting, as long as there are plenty of entitled youngsters sitting there too?

Honestly, this irritates me just as much when I'm not even pregnant.😁

Man, I actually got into a huge argument recently with this "veteran" type. He hit me with his bag first, then told me to get up for some old lady. Even though I don't have a baby bump, I was feeling really nauseous at the time, and I had just stepped away from a woman wearing a super irritating perfume. It was such a mess... I told him there are plenty of younger women who aren't pregnant either, so he actually demanded proof that I was pregnant and called me a liar. I felt so bad because I had to transfer to another bus right at that stop near Target, and he was shouting after me, saying, "See? She's lying—she's just a college student!" He basically made the whole bus look at me... it was so embarrassing.

That's awful!

But honestly, it's better that you left. Who knows what kind of unstable person you might have encountered or what they might have been capable of doing.

I felt pretty bad about walking out, because it made me feel like I was actually lying about being a college student. I just told him, "Thanks, sir, you really made my day." He made me feel at least ten years younger. But honestly, I was feeling so sick on the subway that I wasn't exactly being super polite. I get the feeling some people make it their hobby to hit on young girls on the train or bother older women. And the best ones are definitely those who sprint after the subway car like Usain Bolt, only to realize they can't even make it two stops without feeling it.

Who cares what he thinks? He isn't an inspector from Medicare; you don't owe him an explanation of your medical status. 🤣
Even students get sick.
I used to feel nauseous on the bus all the time back in high school. I actually fainted a few times.

Exactly... 🙂 I mean, luckily I don't ride the subway all that much anyway...

I’m honestly losing my mind. I’m already nine weeks along, and I still haven’t broken the news to the father. He’s currently out of state waiting to start this new gig, and he’s expecting me to pack up and head his way almost immediately. The guy is already a nervous wreck about the job change and our big move, and frankly, I don't even know how I feel about moving yet. This baby was a total accident—it was a complete roll of the dice 😁—and now I just feel totally lost. Worse, I feel like a total fraud, looking him in the eye and pretending everything is business as usual when nothing is.
My biggest fear is that he’s going to suggest we "wait" on having kids, but that’s just not on the table for me. I am terrified of having to face that conversation 😢
On top of the stress, my breasts are killing me. They feel so heavy and swollen I can barely even walk comfortably, and the smell of literally everything is making me gag.
Even the chocolate I usually live for tastes like garbage right now 🙂, and most sweets are a hard pass. Well, okay, the food thing isn't driving me *quite* as crazy 😁
Anyway, hang in there, ladies!

Honey, women in their 40s look at me while I'm stumbling around the train with that exact expression: "It's your own fault!"

I hate the subway, I hate people, and I especially hate those old ladies!

This gave me a great idea—from now on, I think I'll just carry an ultrasound photo and a few medical papers in my purse. If I'm already carrying fifty other things, what's two or three more?

It’s amazing what people will come up with just to snag a seat on the subway.🤣

What happened to me today was honestly peak absurdity. I felt like I was being interrogated by the Inquisition or something. This lady from my neighborhood starts grilling me about where I’m planning to have my baby. I tell her I’m looking at the Peterson clinic, and she just loses it. I told her I actually gave birth at the Holy Spirit hospital and they were absolutely top-tier—not a single complaint. Then she has the nerve to ask if I’ve already "secured" a specific doctor over at Peterson, acting like he's the only one worth seeing. I just stared at her and said, "Actually, there are plenty of great doctors there, and you just show up on the day you want and see who's available." I wasn't looking for any special favors, and besides, I haven't even started my prenatal appointments yet.
But no, she keeps harping on about the Holy Spirit hospital, acting like there's some secret way to get in. Basically, she had a connection, bragged about how great it was, and now she thinks everyone else should have it easy too. As if! I countered by saying I hadn't decided yet and that her precious little hospital isn't perfect either. My experience at the Vineyard wasn't exactly stellar, and some of my friends had issues at either Holy Spirit or Peterson, so... what now? If I followed her logic, I wouldn't be able to pick a hospital at all.
But wait, it gets better. Am I going crazy? I mentioned I hoped things wouldn't end up being that complicated, and she goes, "Well, you can just arrange it..." Oh, for crying out loud! Go ahead, "arrange" for someone to cut you open, why don't you? And then—get this—she asks if my mom would be able to help out during delivery. I told her that if she could, she would, but she's getting older and her health isn't what it used to be. The look she gave me... it was classic. Like, "Oh, grandmas aren't allowed to be sick or weak; they have to sacrifice themselves no matter what." It was a total disaster. She made my mom sound like some kind of monster, when the poor woman raised four kids all by herself and now she's elderly and struggling with her health, so she obviously can't do everything all the time. That was the moment I drew the line. Truly insane.

Honestly, the worst ones are always the women who have already given birth. They’re the ones most likely to swoop in and try to "educate" me... they act so self-important and pushy. Like their choice is the only right choice. Seriously, it's unbelievable. So incredibly intrusive and exclusionary.
