but the hair elsewhere on my body is driving me absolutely crazy—I’ve practically turned into a little jungle ball around my stomach area! 🤷

Yeah, same here—my hair and nails, especially my fingernails, are growing at warp speed. At first, I thought I was just being paranoid because I felt like I was clipping them constantly, but then I realized it actually is a change in growth rate.
I’ve picked up some light hair around my belly button, but it’s super faint—barely noticeable.
Honestly, after worrying about how much hair I'd deal with during pregnancy, things actually turned out fine.🙂

As for me—my nails are growing at an insane rate and I'm seeing hair on my stomach, but the hair loss? That's what's actually creepy. It’s getting ridiculous; the drain clogs every single time I wash my hair, and after blow-drying, I practically have to vacuum the entire house just to get rid of the fallout.

I don't have any issues at all—it stopped once the pregnancy ended, though it was bad before. Probably might start again after I give birth, assuming I don't go totally bald😛

David Allen19 said:I’ve been scrolling through the last few pages here and I am honestly dying laughing because it looks like I’m headed straight for the same fate as most pregnant women—dealing with people who either have absolutely zero tact or just zero brain cells.

One thing that drives me absolutely up the wall is when someone tells me I need to eat more because I'm "eating for two!"

Then there's the second thing—every single time I voice an opinion that happens to clash with theirs, I get hit with the classic: "Calm down, don't get worked up, it's just your hormones talking!" Honestly? I'll show them "hormones" if they keep being that stupid. I'm perfectly capable of losing my cool regardless of what my biology is doing! 🙂

And if you really want to know what pushes me over the edge: "You're almost four months along, how do you not have a bump yet?" Well, maybe it's because I'm nearly 5'11" and weigh 185 pounds, so it's a lot harder to see a bump compared to someone who's 4'11" and 100 pounds! What, am I supposed to deliver an 18-pound baby just to compensate for my height and build???

I honestly feel the exact same way about that.
It used to drive me absolutely crazy during the early stages of my pregnancy, too—everyone would constantly pester us with questions about what we were going to name the baby. It felt like I had to give the same explanation over and over again, just telling everyone that we hadn't actually settled on anything yet. We finally picked a name recently, so thankfully, they've finally left us alone.

As for the whole thing about leg hair... 🙏
I guess I should just be grateful to the little one in my belly, since I barely grow any hair at all. 😁

So, my maternity nurse dropped by for a prenatal check-in today... And she actually had the nerve to ask if I'm having a girl or a boy. I just gave her this huge, goofy grin and said, "It's a boy," because honestly, I can't even fathom anything else at 37 weeks. Then, she looks me straight in the eye and tells me it would probably be better if it were a girl, since my husband would rather have another one of those. Ooooooook...

Well, I am clearly the complete opposite. I can manage to hide my legs if I really need to, but my face... 😱 I've basically got tweezers in my hand every single day.

The sheer volume of boredom and monotony I’ve had to endure—I actually ended up facing medical complications because of
actual, physical complications,
It’s the women who celebrate my changing silhouette, or those who couldn't care less about my well-being
and only focus on how many pounds I've put on.
Then there’s the unsolicited advice and the "momzilla" types who genuinely believe their way is the
only right way—it seems like everyone around me fits that description.
Even friends who used to swear they’d support me through everything (back when I wasn't even
planning on having kids) have completely turned on me now. That isn't even the main issue; the real problem is what happens later
when you realize they were lying to your face. Honestly, just be straight with me; if you can't have children, just say so and be done with it.
Then you have the duty doctors who act absolutely shocked when I tell them this is my first and last time
going through this, only to ask me three different times, then go behind my husband's back to ask him, all while still acting surprised by the pink strollers.
To hell with the healthcare system and this government with its even more idiotic, capped maternity benefits for women
who earn more than the celebrity baseline of $4,250; I suppose we’re all expected to limit ourselves to jobs that pay under that amount, stay home, and produce little American girls.
And let some men continue to dominate the world, I guess.
As someone might say on a late-night talk show, 😳 I'm already exhausted enough as it is.

Brandon Scott5 🤣I seriously cannot believe this. Like, I’m finally pregnant after twelve long years, and now everyone is breathing down my neck asking if we planned this or if it was just a surprise🙄? Why do you even care? Honestly, I am dying for a little girl this time—since my first one was a boy—so all these comments about whether I'm "sure" it's a girl are driving me absolutely insane. On top of that, my hair is thinning out like crazy, and don't even get me started on how I feel physically. Everything stings, everything aches, I feel totally nauseous... I'm basically just a zombie at this point, constantly resting because I have zero energy left for anything else.🙂

It didn't catch me off guard, but I’m finding my own temperament and reactions increasingly frustrating on a daily basis.
Everything gets under my skin lately; I feel like I'm picking fights with everyone, bursting into tears the second things don't go my way, or just crying when I feel like it—I'm constantly overreacting.
On top of that, I feel heavy and bloated, with absolutely zero motivation to take care of myself. When I have to head out, I look like total white trash in beat-up sneakers and ripped jeans, mostly because I feel like I don't even have anything decent left in my closet to pull together a normal outfit.
I’ve honestly become quite unpleasant.😱
To make matters worse, I’ve been having these recurring nightmares where I’ve given birth to a tiny, five-centimeter baby that I have to care for, but he's so small, like an ant, that he keeps slipping out of me. In the dream, his eyes fall out and I have to scramble to pick them up off the floor to put them back in, or I try to feed him but the bottle is way too big and he starts choking, and I can't even perform CPR because his mouth is only about 3mm wide.🙂
It’s also incredibly irritating how the baby kicks aren't these gentle, sweet little movements; sometimes they actually hurt, and it feels like something is trying to force its way out of my gut, like my insides are being torn apart.
And then, of course, there's the crowd on public transit—just a sea of people younger than me who clearly have no concept of basic manners.

The speed at which my curves are growing 🙂

My family keeps acting surprised—like, how can we not have a massive wedding for at least 500 people just because "that's tradition"? Seriously? WTF?!?!?!?!?

Roger Rodriguez, I absolutely live for your classic pregnancy posts.🙂
You really should go back and read them all once this whole pregnancy phase is over; I'm positive you'll have a good laugh at yourself.😁

But seriously, kudos to the people you have standing by your side right now.🙏
It is perfectly okay to be scared; we're all terrified, and we're all wondering how on earth we're going to pull this off. Just let go and trust the process—I'm personally just leaning into Mother Nature and whatever modern medicine can offer. With all the doctors and specialists out there, surely one of them will make this delivery a little easier on me.😁

If I could offer one little piece of advice, it always works for me: try not to dwell on the actual labor itself, but instead, focus on that exact second when they finally place the baby in your arms and you see them for the very first time. I'm not trying to be cliché by saying you'll forget the pain of childbirth (because, honestly, I have no clue what that's actually like), but it truly is such a breathtaking, unforgettable moment.🙂

That being said, I'm sending out one more wave of love to all those lovely people who keep telling me I need to sleep now because I won't get any later—sending them a giant middle finger via text message, essentially—because it doesn't matter if I sleep; I'll just be busy worrying about my precious little one.😠

Yeah, I really was being your typical pregnant grumbler, 😢 and it’s driving me crazy too. At the start of my pregnancy, I had this image of myself as the perfect expectant mother—always smiling, never complaining about food cravings. Then came the total turnaround, where I was basically snatching food off people's plates because suddenly everything sounded good. (Even if it hits the floor or the expiration date has passed! 🙈)
I'm going to try my best to stop obsessing over the birth and all those negative scenarios; there's really nothing I can do to change the outcome anyway. 🤷
Plus, my mom keeps trying to "calm me down." Basically, whenever she reaches her limit with my constant complaining, she just tells me, "Everyone else went through it, so you will too," and calls it a day. She's running out of patience, and I'm definitely driving everyone in the family a little nuts! 🤣

Scott Rodriguez2, I am absolutely losing it over your last two posts. 😂
I feel the exact same way—everyone gets under my skin lately. I find myself snapping at everyone, and if I don't get some empathy, I just break down. It honestly takes only a second for me to end up in tears.
Even when I see anything involving babies, I turn into a total softie.
I’m definitely not that glowing pregnant woman you see in commercials, full of smiles and good vibes.
People can think whatever they want about me—"look at this grumpy pregnant woman."
The bump isn't even showing yet, but honestly, they better stay back once it does. This belly belongs to me (and maybe my husband), and nobody else is getting any cuddles from me.
The baby and I will have our own little world and talk to each other when we're alone in bed.

And I am so done with unsolicited advice from people I didn't even ask. Just... leave me alone.

Honestly, if there isn't mold on it, it’s probably fine to eat 😳

you are actually being so sweet right now 🤣 have you thought about signing up for some sort of prenatal class where you can just vent all those fears? I mean, personally, I am absolutely terrified of the idea of actually holding a newborn, or even things like making sure doors stay shut and everything, and I am honestly counting down the days until I can bring all that up in a group session just so someone can look me in the eye, laugh a little, and tell me that everything is going to be okay.

Oh, those pregnant influencers on TikTok showing off their perfectly smooth, stretch-mark-free bellies with those serene little smiles? Total lies.
I might sound a bit ridiculous, but right now, I am spending way more energy worrying about whether I'll develop GD because of my family history than I am thinking about whether I'm having a boy or a girl, which I won't find out until Friday 👋 )
In my opinion, a "carefree" pregnant woman is really just an uninformed one 😳

Regarding fears—how am I supposed to stay relaxed and fearless when anything could happen at any given moment?
It’s exactly what Jesse Johnson15 said; is it just pure ignorance?

Even in real life, you see those pregnant women walking around with huge grins on their faces.
Either they are genuinely happy, or they're just putting on a good show for everyone else. 🤷

Honestly, I was practically beaming just two weeks ago—I had plenty of reasons to be happy, felt incredible, like I could take on the world... but now? This smiling thing has turned into nothing more than a performance for everyone else. It’s all an act, really, because none of it actually matters to them (not when they ask how I'm doing). They don't care that my legs are absolutely throbbing after standing for even ten minutes, or that I can't even walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded, or that I'm lying awake at night dealing with these awful leg cramps... it’s just endless.

I was up all night again, just tossing and turning with my mind racing a mile a minute, and honestly, the scariest part is when the little one is being too quiet or sleeping so deeply that I start panicking, wondering if they’re actually breathing or what...😳
So, we’re probably going to pick up one of those high-tech baby monitors with the breathing sensors, just so mother can finally get some actual peace of mind😁

Honestly, what’s the point of pretending everything is fine when you're actually struggling? I prefer to be upfront about how I'm feeling, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
How far along are you, Keith Allen4?

Andrew Hill8, that fear is definitely something both you and I share. 😢

I really don't see the need to make excuses to people I only run into twice a month... they aren't exactly part of my inner circle that I deal with every single day... so, in my mind, my business is my own...
34+2 weeks 😉
