Which of these 3 controllers should I get?

I’m looking to pick up a new controller since my smart box finally gave up the ghost on me. My gaming sessions mostly revolve around sports titles(Pro Evolution Soccer, 2K9) and racing games like Grid. I’d love some recommendations for a controller that is reliable and, most importantly, highly precise. To be honest, I don’t rely much on the analog sticks; I tend to play using the D-pad, so having snappy, accurate directional input is my top priority. I was actually considering picking up an PlayStation 2 controller and just running it through this converter to hook it up to my PC, mainly because those old controllers have such a reputation for precision—that would probably run me about $93. My second thought was going with the Logitech RumblePad II. Alternatively, I could go for the Logitech Chillstream.

Personally, I’d say go with the RumblePad 2. I have this one buddy who isn't exactly known for his steady hands, so having some vibration feedback can actually be pretty handy for him. It's nothing major, though—you just have to make sure you clean it regularly.

If you aren't playing with an analog stick and you’re stuck dealing with those old-school PlayStation 2 style gamepads, you might as well just grab a RumblePad 2
I’m rocking the Logitech Chillstream myself and honestly, it’s killer—the design is solid, the plastic feels high-quality... I used to use a Smartbox before, but after switching to this... what a total game changer.
I’m definitely leaning towards the Logitech Chillstream, especially since the triggers feel like an Xbox 360 controller and it actually has built-in fans, though it lacks vibration... plus, the precision is spot on... for the price, you really can't complain.😁

If you aren't utilizing controller vibration (but why on earth wouldn't you???)
then you should simply purchase that purple Logitech model
it is virtually indestructible (my buddies have been playing Pro Evolution Soccer on them for years now and they still function perfectly)
and the price is roughly $27...

alternatively, you could evolve toward an analog control system and pick up a RumblePad 2

If you're looking at a Thrustmaster gamepad—honestly, if you can get your hands on a wireless one for $67, it’s an absolute game-changer. It’s seriously top-tier stuff.

I personally own a Logitech RumblePad II, and I find it to be an excellent peripheral, especially when I am sitting down for a session of Pro Evolution Soccer.
Lately, I have been seriously considering picking up another controller, as I would love to have a second one ready for some local co-op gaming... at the moment, I am quite fond of the Xbox 360 controller for PC.
