So, I just went in for a routine ultrasound, and the doctor was basically like, "Everything looks fine, just hang in there." No other tests or anything yet. Honestly, I haven't been pushing myself too hard lately... this is my fifth month, my fifth attempt at this whole thing. My cycles are all regular and I'm ovulating every time.

Look... Iโ€™m no expert here, but Iโ€™d start thinking about sending your husband in for a semen analysisโ€”just to rule that out right now. If everything comes back clean, then you can just relax and enjoy things... but if not, at least you actually know how to react.

It doesn't cost much, and it's better to have an answer than to live through month after month of total uncertainty... right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Did you manage to get it working right away? Did you end up checking the temperatures? Malone isn't really making a big deal out of any of this, so maybe just let him be for a little while. I wouldn't mention anything to him just yet.

It worked, but I honestly just got luckyโ€”nothing more ๐Ÿ™‚
Both times actually... though I was dealing with another tragedy at the time, so, I don't know... everything just kind of settled into this weird equilibrium.
I didn't bother tracking temperature (I don't get it and it seems like too much work), so the second time I just used ovulation strips. My main indicators were basically just fertile mucus and those strips

Iโ€™m going to keep believing in luck, because I feel like anyone would be happy if they managed to conceive within a year. If it doesn't happen naturally, I'll just try different methods. Tracking temperature is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it; that first cycle is always the hardest part. And hey, if you have a digital thermometer, it's only like two seconds of work every morning. But, luckily for you, you don't even need to worry about that.
Thanks so much for the help and for getting back to me so fast!

I picked up some Gavidet Mini. The lady at CVS told me it works best with my first morning bathroom trip, but honestly, Iโ€™m such a sleepyhead that getting up early is a struggle.

Ryan Morris15, look at how well everything started out for you. If you don't get your period tomorrow, then it's pretty much a done deal!
mistyharbor8, I honestly thought youโ€™d be taking a test by this morning or today, since you're already four days late...

I'm feeling a little discouraged today, though. My temperature dropped to 98.1 this morning from yesterday's 98.4. It all just feels like a typical failed cycle to me because things always start dipping right before my period arrives. Plus, my breasts are sore, there's more discharge, and I've been dealing with this weird dizziness for about half an hour now. I just don't know what to think anymore...

I don't know, really; one day the reading was negative, though it probably wasn't early enough to test, seeing as I didn't do it first thing in the morning. Now I'm just waiting for my period to start.

I suppose there isn't really a rule saying you have to get up at dawn; you could probably wait until noon if you wanted, though I think it matters that it's the very first urine of the day. It seems the hormone concentration is highest then, whereas if you've been sipping water all day, the concentration might be a bit too diluted.

Ryan Morris15, Iโ€™m actually right there in the same boat as you... just waiting. Listen, itโ€™s still a four-day gap, which pretty much guarantees the test was done too early. Iโ€™m not saying you won't see anything or that you definitely will, but honestly? Itโ€™s a fifty-fifty shot at this point. Maybe you're a "T" and the timing was just off, or maybe you aren't. Who knows, right?
How are you holding up? Are you finding yourself running to the bathroom a lot? And are your breasts still feeling tender?

Thanks, you've really helped clear things up for me.๐Ÿคฃ
The symptoms seem to be staying the same as they were over the last few days, and I guess I get those sharp pains several times a day, almost like my period is about to start.

Well, yeah, pretty much all of them work on that same principle. And don't even get me started on sleepingโ€”I can easily pull twelve hours if I let myself (sometimes I'm still dragging myself out of bed at 10 AM)... but then again, there are those mornings where you're up at the crack of dawn anyway because your nerves are shot and won't let you rest. So don't sweat it. Just make sure that once you finally do roll out of bed, you grab that first pee for the test. I used to just use a little plastic cup.

Waiting on those results tomorrow morning...๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ˜‰

So, my period was four days late, and honestly, Iโ€™ve just been a total nervous wreck the whole time. I kept telling myself, "It'll show up eventually, don't panic," but I couldn't help it. By Monday, I finally hit my limit and grabbed an Intim test at CVS. It showed a plus sign. My boyfriend and I, well, we practically blacked out for a second. We went out and bought a second test, then a third, then a fourth... they all said the same thing. I think I would've probably bought ten more that same day if my guy hadn't stepped in and stopped me. Anyway, I'm clearly pregnant. I already scheduled an appointment with my OB-GYN, but I'm still feeling really anxious because, I guess, a baby isn't exactly what I need right now. So, yeah... that's where things are at.

First off, welcome to the club...
Second, you're pregnant!
Third, you're asking what to do? Well, look, Iโ€™d suggest checking out those forums for women whoโ€™ve dealt with miscarriages. Go ahead, read through them, really sit with it, and then tell meโ€”where would you rather be? Here, or in their shoes?
Would you actually want to trade places with any of those women?
Trust me, theyโ€™d all give anything to swap places with you in a heartbeat.

I missed out on an M last night, so I suppose thereโ€™s always next time.

Chloe Morgan6, I hope you might reconsider having a child eventually. I realize it wasn't planned and that you see pregnancy primarily as a burden right now, but once you're holding a tiny, sweet babyโ€”a whole new personโ€”I suspect you might not regret it as much as you think. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

Ryan Morris15, Iโ€™m so sorry, really crossing my fingers for your next attempt.
My temperature today is exactly the same as yesterdayโ€”it hasn't dropped at all. Last night, I had this intense pressure in my lower abdomen, right around the ovaries. It isn't exactly "pain," if that makes sense? It's just... I don't know how to put it into words. And the discharge is still thick.
Anyway, I think I've decided to just hang in there until tomorrow to see what tomorrow's temperature looks like.

If I could offer a little advice, maybe take a moment to reflect before sharing things like this. You're carrying a new life inside you now. Just imagine if your own mom had told you that she didn't need youโ€”how would that feel? This child isn't at fault for anything; it's just the result of you and your boyfriend. Now, you both just need to be smart about this and step up to your responsibilities.

I was actually just looking back through our messages to see where I said there was zero chance of a positive test this month. And I wrote that on August 11th. Jesus, how long did it take you to see that???๐Ÿ˜•
A bit too long, honestly. But hey, happens to the best of us...

The waiting part is the absolute worst... it drives you insane...
Next month, I'm trying that pillow method...๐Ÿ˜ โ˜• ๐Ÿ˜‰
