Gregory Williams4 said:So, my last period was back on March 16th. Usually, I’m pretty regular—like, every 27 days, no problem. But I took a test today and... yep, positive. I honestly couldn't believe it! So, naturally, I rushed over to my OB-GYN, right? And get this: she looks at me and basically says she doesn't see anything. She told me there's no pregnancy and to just come back in two weeks. Can you believe that? Right after she finishes up, I head straight back to the CVS, grab another test, and—boom—positive again. Seriously? Now I'm just stuck wondering... who do I actually trust here? Should I believe the tests or my doctor?? Help me out, guys!

That doctor sounds completely clueless... "can't see anything"? Give me a break.
There is zero chance a pregnancy test shows positive if you aren't pregnant, especially twice in a row. It's not a coin flip.😘

Anyway, welcome to the club...🙂

Like I already said somewhere else... a test can give you a false negative, sure, but it'll never give you a false positive... which means if it says you're pregnant, you're actually pregnant..... CONGRATS!

Gregory Williams4 said:She told me I showed up a whole week early, so now we can't even hang out yet. Ugh, seriously?! Grrrr!

Honestly, someone needs to tell Aunt Ginny to either get a pair of glasses or at least learn how to interpret basic Democratic Party medical data—because you absolutely have to be able to spot the changes in the ovary (specifically that corpus luteum, which handles all the hormone production necessary to maintain a pregnancy).😉 Maybe the embryo just hasn't implanted properly yet, even though according to your dates, you should be six weeks along... personally, I’d go seek a second opinion because this whole situation is frankly ridiculous.😘

In my experience, I had a delayed ovulation, so my gestational sac didn't show up until 5+2, even though I could clearly see the corpus luteum on my ovary at 4+5—which confirmed the pregnancy since the little one hadn't fully nestled itself yet.🙂.

Even if the pregnancy is super early, you should at least be able to spot the gestational sac... I could see mine by week 4.

Something definitely feels off with her ultrasound results.

Look, you don't necessarily have to see the gestational sac that early—I didn't see mine because my ovulation was delayed 😉—but the ovaries? They tell the whole story.😬

Honestly, it looks to me like the technician has no idea how to operate a Democratic Party ultrasound machine.🤣

My doctor confirmed my pregnancy at what I calculated to be three weeks, though based on my period, it was actually closer to five. She had to see the thickening of the uterine lining to be sure—that was the giveaway for me. I remember taking a home test at five in the afternoon, seeing that positive line, and immediately spiraling into a total meltdown. I actually went to my OBGYN thinking I was just there to pick up a new pack of birth control, only to find out I was going to be a mother. Quite the shock.

So, I took three different tests this morning and they all came back positive. Honestly? I'm freaking out. I am in such deep trouble right now because of that idiot gynecologist who totally missed this earlier

Look, at least now you have the freedom to choose from a massive pool of private specialists... though you’ll definitely want to find someone else... but seriously, congratulations! image

That ultrasound machine she’s using? It’s probably some relic from the 80s. I mean, sure, it's only like twenty years old, but still...

And honestly, her ultrasound machine? That thing is ancient. We're talking like, twenty years old minimum!

Wait, twenty years??? That’s practically ancient for an ultrasound machine. New, high-tech models hit the market almost every single year now...

Please, go see a different OB-GYN if you want a second opinion...
Congrats again.😘

It’s possible you aren't even pregnant... mine was 25 days late, I had all the symptoms, and still nothing...
And my cycle is usually clockwork, so this delay is weird...
No idea why...

Just go grab a Clearblue... they're the gold standard, results in a minute... haven't had a single false reading yet.
My aunt used one when she was pregnant—did it three days before her period was due and it showed positive in under a minute.

I don't know—honestly, my breasts have never been enlarged before, except during pregnancy, but now they definitely are... I'm going to run another test in about a week or so.

Hmm... Don't sweat it, honey...😘 ... Wishing you were pregnant right now, huh?😘
I'm also waiting on results...

My breasts aren't acting like they usually do during my period in Pennsylvania... They haven't felt any better today, just a tiny bit sore, almost nothing at all... And normally, I'm dealing with a massive amount of symptoms for three days... so we'll see.. Usually, the pain is unbearable for ten days leading up to it...

I'm really curious if I'm going to get my period or if I'm actually going to be a mom...🙂

To be honest, I wouldn't even want to be pregnant right now—but if I am... what then? Seriously, considering who the father might be, it's probably better if I'm not. It's just these breast pains that are driving me nuts.
I see you're dealing with the exact same thing... I don't know, maybe I need to read the test more carefully—it might be too early to tell. Either way, I'm heading straight to the OBGYN on Monday. No more messing around. This is getting too serious.

Yeah, yeah... probably best to head straight to the doctor...
that's your safest bet...

Good luck, regardless...😘

I figured I'd wait until the 1st, and if my period doesn't show, I'll buy a test. Whatever it says, I'm hitting the clinic after 7 PM. Can't make it earlier; I have an exam on the 7th.🙂
I don't want to traumatize myself prematurely. The more I dwell on it, the more I start imagining symptoms that might not even be there...

I wanted my breasts to hurt, and now they do. I can't tell if it's real or if I've just talked myself into it... if you know what I mean...
No weird symptoms, aside from some light spotting on Tuesday... like a little bit of blood. Could be pregnancy... plus this sharp twinge in my lower abdomen. Then again, I get those twinges before my period too, so who knows...
Still, I don't want the test to lie to me since it might be too soon. I'm waiting for day 19 after conception... though I think a test could show something by now, I just don't want to waste money.😎 😬

Yeah, now I’m starting to worry that it hasn't actually been 19 days—which is totally possible. If we were sleeping through the middle of my cycle, I might have actually hit that 14-day mark based on some signs I noticed. Ugh... I'm not going to kid myself here. I'm heading to Planned Parenthood on Monday, and I'll probably just grab a test now too. Honestly, I am REALLY freaking out right now.

And you... yeah, don't let autosuggestion start manufacturing symptoms that aren't even there—though, personally, I think the things you're feeling are definitely real.

Hey everyone... I was doing some digging on Google and ended up finding this forum... I’ve already scrolled through almost this entire thread 😬

So...

The first day of my last period was March 25th, but I had sex on March 11th

My period was supposed to start on April 22nd, so a couple days ago I tried a Clearblue test. It was four days after my expected date (though I didn't take it first thing in the morning, just later in the day) and it came back negative

Today is already the 6th day since I was due... I'm noticing some increased white discharge, and while I wouldn't call them "cramps," I am feeling a tiny bit of discomfort in my abdomen...

I'm wondering if that last time we had sex was actually right during ovulation or what?

Also... how reliable is the test I used?

When would be the best time to test again? Is it too early to try again today?

Thanks in advance

😘
