cosmiccrane15, this thing is actually gorgeous 🙂

edit: Richard Fox72 and yours is pretty decent too 👍
I’d grab something like this myself, just without all that tacky stuff and minus that top floor section 😬

Same thing with Smile, maybe even better in Aspen!🙂
$333For 120 people, a parfait...

A ton of people said they loved it, but honestly, me and MM weren't exactly blown away...

Different strokes for different folks, I guess!

But for me, looking good was the main thing—not like I could actually eat anything that night anyway🤣

Personally, I’ve been looking at this one, though I think it could use a bit more color variety to really make it pop.😁

Heh, I always seem to track this stuff down eventually. Up until now, I only had her in plain white, and I kept telling myself how much I wanted one with a colored heart. Now that I’ve finally gone looking to add it, I couldn't be bothered dealing with ImageShack, so I just hunted for the exact one online, and honestly, 😍

cosmiccrane15, that cake is absolutely stunning 🙂 and if my memory serves me right, the price was great too 😁

jos uvijek sam u potrazi za kolacima: I've already tried Meli, Piece of Cake, Sugarland, and the Little Cookie House, and finally ended up with a smile from Aspen. So far, Piece of Cake is the clear frontrunner. Does anyone have any other recommendations before I make my final decision? I need desserts that are truly high-quality, without excessive margarine or artificial additives. I should be finalizing this by next week. Thanks so much for the help!

Karen Grant9, you've gotta try Mima Sweets... they don't use those artificial mixes. If you're interested, shoot me a DM.

We served Heart cakes and a custom cake from Heart, and honestly—wow. Just incredible. There’s zero artificial junk in them—no weird dyes, no fake sweeteners—just pure, delicious flavor. What really sets them apart is that every single pastry actually tastes unique. I’ve tried those big catering companies where they have twenty different varieties but they all taste like the exact same sugar bomb—that is definitely NOT the case here. Everyone at the wedding was raving about them, and I ended up passing out Mrs. Lily's number to basically everyone I met! We stumbled upon them at a local bridal expo, and let me tell you: Heart is officially my go-to for every holiday, birthday, and party from here on out.
btw kg is $25

I grabbed some of their cookies at the state fair—they were actually good enough that I ended up buying a whole box to take home.

We’re heading out tomorrow to grab another 6 pounds—we want to treat the whole office and make sure there’s plenty left over for the folks back home too.🙂

Does anyone have any actual insight or firsthand experience regarding Le Colac bakery? I'm curious if anyone has tried them recently.

Dear ladies,

I just wanted to share my experience and ask if I'm being unreasonable here. I decided to order some treats from Piece of Cake, which are priced at $40 per pound. When I went to place my order, the clerk told me point-blank that there wouldn't be even a single cent of a discount on a 40-pound order because their prices are fixed. I was absolutely stunned. Since when does buying one pound cost the exact same as buying forty? She actually had the nerve to tell me that people have ordered even larger amounts in the past, but the manager simply refuses to budge on pricing. It drove me crazy; I was expecting at least a small break on the price per pound for an order of $37. Because of such blatant rudeness, I walked away and am now looking elsewhere. What has your experience been with this bakery? Do they ever offer bulk discounts?

Thanks,

They really don't do discounts—we actually went and asked 🤷 about it. Just look up sugar in the thread or give them a call.

Good grief!!$40/lb... honestly, are they making these cookies out of solid gold or something?
I’m planning to have mine made at Sweet Treats Bakery for $20/lb, and they even offer free delivery—they'll bring them right to my apartment in NYC or even out to a hall in a Suburban US city—even though they're based in a Small town USA. We tried their treats back during Christmas and Easter, and let me tell you, they are absolutely delicious..
