Now that those tactics aren't working anymore, suddenly lonetrucker4 is the worst moderator in the US, and I see people trying to hide behind personal attacks to make him look like a bad guy too.

So, driftingtinker has taken over the reins now (meaning he's doing more of the heavy lifting here), and since he doesn't have much patience for bullshit, I think the concerned complainers will find themselves much more satisfied moving forward.

Just for the record, I left the main boards because of lonetrucker4. I never complained about it because I wasn't going to sit around whining about being blocked from posting when, after twenty years on this site, I know he’s useless anyway. I’d rather just say "screw it" and move on.

Actually, I walked away the day I told lonetrucker4 he was damn well incompetent at moderating that sub-forum, and he banned me for "insulting a user"—which was him, obviously. It makes him a shitty person, too, using his power to punish anyone who dares to give him some blunt criticism.

No, I don't care about his comment on my post, and I don't want to discuss this further or ever step foot in that sub-forum again. I'm telling you this because I respect you; even when we disagree, we can tell each other to go to hell without any hard feelings.

If you had actually read it carefully, you would have realized that even if I don't agree with the opening post, a user—using my small platform—was complaining about procedures on a sub-forum where that moderator works. I couldn't tell if it was him specifically or one of his colleagues pulling the strings.

Besides, I guess users should actually be happier when there are more moderators active on a specific sub-forum, because that usually means the place is being cleaned up from off-topic junk more regularly and someone is actually keeping things orderly.

The whole point of my argument here is that we are looking at parents whose own instability is making life unnecessarily difficult for their child, which is something that can have lasting effects on a kid's development.

Of course the school has to provide a written explanation when they're interfering with his legal rights.

If I get a subpoena to testify in court, for example, and they tell me at the door that I can't enter without a COVID certificate, I'm demanding that in writing. They are obligated to provide that documentation.

Sure, they should have consulted a lawyer first and framed this more intelligently. The kid should have shown up to Elementary School every single morning without a mask and demanded a written notice if they intended to send him home. If they tried to kick him out, the principal and the school would be facing a lawsuit because attending school is a right under US Law.

I’ve seen cases where students hit teachers and the harshest punishment they got was just being transferred to a different school.

If anyone reading this actually knows the kid, this is exactly how he needs to handle it.
