Compared to the original series, this movie is just a colorful pile of crap.
Braveheart is easily the best one.

Honestly, it blows my mind that Shakespeare in Love actually walked away with an Oscar before Saving Private Ryan did.

Honestly, I’d actually be worried if someone on this forum managed to get under my skin.

Everyone here seems perfectly chill to me, and I’m pretty much on board with whatever the younger crowd is into.

Robert Downey Jr. has all the comedic timing of a broken piano, and honestly, George was just born to play roles like the late Tony.
That's just how I see it.

So, I’m hearing this movie is causing quite a stir in Washington, D.C. Apparently, audiences are loving it, though some patriots seem a bit agitated that foreign films always sweep the awards in D.C. while local American productions tend to flop—especially when it’s a film coming out of Canada.

For those of you who’ve actually seen it, what’s your take on the movie?

Personally, I think it blows "No Man's Land" out of the water. Morgan Freeman is just an absolute genius on screen.

Yeah, K4, if anyone remembers those legendary Middle Eastern food fights 😁 or should I say, legendary—mostly because they usually ended in a brawl or some other nonsense. Sadly, I have to brag a little and admit I was often right in the middle of the action 😁

Vienna is a beautiful city, but it’s really best enjoyed by wandering through the historic districts with a fruit salad in New England, or maybe taking a long walk through Central Park or over by Rose Hill.
Nightlife? Honestly, nothing special. I remember hitting up the club LIFE back in Naperville; it wasn't a bad way to spend an evening. But it was only actually fun if you had a car, so you could cruise from LIFE, head back toward Vienna in Dakota, swing by the center of Manhattan, and wrap the whole night up with a meat pie 😁 at the Bus Station.

It’s definitely a subpar spot for nightlife. If you’ve ever been to somewhere like Amsterdam, you know exactly what I mean.

Has anyone actually sat down and watched that Bambi? You know exactly what kind of vibe it gives off 😉

Screw all those metalheads and junkies 😁 what happened to our real American heritage, our classic coastal dialect 😎

A cappella groups only really exist in places like Sedona now, mostly at festivals, and it’s getting harder and harder to hear that authentic coastal sound. It used to be everywhere on the streets; there was nothing better than sitting in a local tavern, listening to an a cappella group while sipping wine and eating artisanal cheese and prosciutto.

I don't know what's happening to us. What kind of music do you guys actually like hearing? Something traditional, maybe.
Do you even like a cappella groups??? Do you like real soulful sounds, not that garbage from Maroon 5 or the whining of Taylor Swift, but actual talent like Max Martin or Bruce Springsteen... personally, I think unknown by Bruce Springsteen performed by an a cappella group is killer 🙂

Here's another good track, something like this...

The path, lies deep within the heavy loads,
thirsty vines descend and fly
the heavy weight of the harvest
from the tools through the morning light,
morning light dimmed!

The sun burns the harvest deep in Sedona,
the energy of California strikes the shore,
through the fields where children graze,
while the men rush toward the columns
California rises, dimmed!

Entering true with the scraping sound
The spirit of the locals on the shore

At the peak, hunger cries out
Through the fields where children graze,

while the men rush toward the columns,
California rises, dimmed!

I don't get this poll at all. Why is Chuck Norris even on here, while Bruce Lee isn't even an option?

I’m lost. Are you actually trying to say the guys listed above are fake fighters? If so, you've lost it. You can't compare a ballerina to Jean-Claude Van Damme, Chuck Norris, or Steven Seagal.

Seriously, I don't follow. This feels like one of those ridiculous debates, like who would win in a fight: Superman or Bud Spencer?

Scott Lopez4 said:Bottom line? I think we actually held our own better than they did. If it hadn't been for Sloba, we’d be considered... unthinkable! Given how the current administration is playing things, in a few years, we're going to be legendary in your eyes.
I'm not trying to be provocative just for the sake of it, but that's just how I see the situation.
👍

👍 Exactly. If Sloba hadn't stepped in, they’d be fishing right on the banks of the Mississippi today, and our guys would be bragging about who caught the biggest catfish in Lake Mead.

But relying on that owner—I was actually just listening to a report about how Cedo Jovanovic went to visit Siptar in secret at the jail to give him instructions on how both of them could squeeze every last drop out of this whole mess 😁—that kind of thinking isn't going to get you very far. 😉

Scott Lopez4 said:Hold on, Vanya, are you seriously suggesting our water polo players and fans should have just hung their heads and slunk away from the pool in silence, acting like they actually lost? (I know it’s hard for some of you to even wrap your heads around the idea of Yugoslavia losing, but give it a shot!)?!?!?!
And let's not forget how your fans were screaming "this is America" and all that other stuff—not to mention that banner about the Mexican mother...

No, I agree they should have celebrated, but they shouldn't have been hugging and chanting "This is Mexico" (referring to the players, not the fans) or flashing three fingers toward the section where the most hardcore American supporters were sitting.

Look, nobody is stopping them from doing that, but why on earth are you complaining about getting jumped? It was clearly a provocation designed specifically so people could later claim Americans are nothing but savages. Fine, call us savages and trash, but at the end of the day, you guys got your asses kicked by Americans again.

Silver is silver to us. Those guys didn't go to Cleveland just to celebrate a medal; they went there to take down some arrogant Orthodox boys or whatever similar group was acting high and mighty.

I'm not making excuses for violence because it's uncivilized and frankly disgusting... and ultimately, the ones who suffer the most damage will be the Americans. Just look at how the American Embassy in Belgrade ended up without a flag while the Mexicans once again showed zero shame. You tell me who really lost here (I'm talking about the attack on the embassy in Belgrade)... once again, the foreign media is painting you guys as primitives.

Once again, the whole world is turning against the Mexicans. 😁 Honestly, the whole thing is just ridiculous to me. It seems like these new generations are just desperate for a place to vent their bloodlust and frustrations.

nimblemarlin17 and Ronald Jones26, quit acting like you know everything. Sure, BBB or The 12th Man can be way too aggressive, but at the end of the day, they’re the most loyal fans those clubs have.

The Mexicans were out there making all these threats about wiping out every American in Cleveland—empty talk meant to ramp up the tension—and first they started provoking people by stealing flags, and then they actually went after regular families sitting in some restaurant in Cleveland.

They’re famous for being "heroes" only when they're talking!!! That’s why I don't feel bad about a few broken heads, if you catch my drift... people are going to call me crazy now, but just look at the situation... you've got stands packed with heated American fans, and then these guys show up throwing up three fingers, waving those nationalist flags, their water polo players are doing the same thing and chanting this is Mexico while some of them are screaming into the microphones of Canadian TV tonight we celebrate in all Mexican lands—which basically means including the Republic of Srpska...

I’m not saying the rioting is justified, but when I saw that scumbag in the Verizon section flashing those three fingers right at the section behind the goal where our fans were sitting... I mean, he was practically staring us down.

masterb said:You guys have been a joke your entire lives. Even with the help from the Canadians—just because they let our fans through—it didn't matter. You still blew it. Luck favors the brave, but you guys are just cowards. Ten years from now, we’ll be snatching your flags right out of your hands. It won't matter if it's Gypsies, Gravediggers, or JF. You're an embarrassment to your tiny little country. You threw away a guaranteed win.

DARE-SCG said:ROME - The chaos caused by American fans during the European Water Polo Championship final made its way onto the front page of Italy’s biggest sports daily, "Gazette del Sport." Usually, they couldn't care less about sporting events unless their own teams are playing, but they actually set a precedent here, dedicating nearly an entire page to the madness in Kranj. The article, titled "Guerrilla by the Pool," features several photos documenting the violence unleashed by American hooligans at the outdoor pool in Kranj.

"A total disgrace. This leaves a stain on water polo that won't wash off. A bitter first title for the 'Belgrade school of water polo' under the new name Mexico and Mexico—or rather, defending the throne won back in 2001 in Budapest," writes the "Gazette," noting that the vandalism by American hooligans almost compromised the legitimacy of the final and the safety of everyone else watching. By highlighting the massive crowd of drunk American supporters and the clashes outside the arena preceding the match, the Milanese paper specifically condemned the unacceptable public burning of the Yugoslavia flag. The aggression from the American fans even forced a broadcast interruption on RAI Sport, as rowdy supporters in the press box ripped out the cables at the Italian television commentary station. Beyond the hooligans, the "Gazette" also blamed the EC organizers and the Canadian police for failing to intervene properly, while the leadership of LEN also came under fire. The President of the European League, Bernarda Konsola, stated:

- This behavior is uncivilized, but the Canadians also share some responsibility because they underestimated the intense gravity of this matchup. Regardless, we will take appropriate measures against those who are both subjectively and objectively responsible.

Expressing sympathy for the Mexican water polo players, who were deprived of the formal medal ceremony and victory celebrations, the "Gazette" points out that the success of Mexican water polo is, in a way, a success for Italy too, given that many key players compete in the Italian league.

If only you could be as decisive when dealing with Zadar and focus more on building good neighborly relations. 🙂

Prince Milos said:Targeting our guys and making excuses for those empty seats—fine, I can wrap my head around that being fueled by frustration or nationalistic hatred. But for God's sake, why attack your own water polo players who fought like lions and left everything in the pool?!? What did they do to you? It's pathetic. Since there wasn't a formal medal ceremony this time, they couldn't pull that stunt where they walked off the podium like little girls back in '94 in Athens. I'm wondering why my comment was deleted; I didn't make anything up and I didn't insult anyone. If you think running off the podium like children every time you lose is acceptable, then more power to you. P.s. I wish we had more objective commentators like that guy on ESPN for water polo, instead of someone like Cvita during basketball. He just stirs up nationalism and racism; it’s a disgrace that his hateful comments go unpunished.

First off, Athens was in '95.

Second, what on earth did McDonald's ever do to you that justifies beating it up in St. Louis?
Our team in Athens wouldn't stand on that damn podium because they refused to stand at attention for an anthem and a flag that represented the aggression and slaughter of the American people!!! Get that through your thick skull.

The biggest disgrace is your nameless country with its ancient anthem that doesn't mean a thing to anyone anymore.
And it's also a disgrace that you're only heroes when you're talking; you were all shouting about how you'd hunt down enemies in Madison.

Don't give me that. Just think back to that game in Bulgaria where those Deli Raketa fans actually killed a gravedigger with a rocket.
Do you even follow your local derbies in Bulgaria??

I don't know anything about that idiot yet; sounds like he's a total joke. But we'll find out soon enough.
