Hard-Hitting Blockbusters in Movies ·
Christian Sanchez44 said:Total manliness in cinema... we're talking Scarface, those Sergio Leone classics, Payback, Dirty Harry, The Heat... that kind of stuff... 😁

I absolutely love all these movies, and I'm a woman! 🙂
Hey, what's wrong with me?... 😕

The last one works! Listen, dear reader, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you! Those movies are total classics, and honestly, seeing all those rugged, handsome guys on screen just makes the whole experience even better...)

vividmason5 said:So, I’m scrolling through all these posts about Jarmusch, and I honestly can't wrap my head around why most people hating on him rely on his popularity as their main argument. They keep pushing this silly idea that he's just some "instant cult director" (okay, fine, when I was a kid I saw some random movie on TV about five taxi drivers in five different cities—and yeah, I was instantly hooked!).
Anyway, I finally sat down last night and watched the full Coffee and Cigarettes since I'd only ever seen those first three little snippets. And man, I experienced such a rare mix of bliss, awkwardness, and total relaxation... I don't even know how to put it into words, but it just happens after watching his stuff. Between sips of coffee and puffs of smoke, all these weird and wonderful people just chat about visiting the dentist, an Elvis-like evil twin, or Nikola Tesla... (except for Rene, there's this Nikita looking through a weapons catalog). What really blew me away is that this actually works as a "real" feature film.
Oh yeah, that huge 🙏 episode with Molina. A total slap in the face to all those arrogant, easily swayed snobs. Maybe there will be fewer of them in the future... it's nice to see what a real H.U.M.A.N. looks like. 😎

we are totally on the same wavelength 🙏
that Molina segment was phenomenal, I watched it three times in a row! 😬
Murray had me laughing until I cried, and that episode with Iggy and the one with the two guys at the end are absolute classics 😍
I love Jarmusch because he makes movies about actual people. I'd recommend them to everyone.
Smoking ban in all public spaces in Health ·
Hey Gerald Rivera17, look, I’m not out here defending smoking—I know it’s bad for you—but those facts just aren't hitting the mark. Nowadays, more people globally are dying from infectious diseases caused by poverty, lack of sanitation, and the general misery people endure (like TB and stuff like that). Check out www.newscientist.com (you can find that article somewhere in the archives) ☕

Don't get me wrong, I am all for banning smoking in public indoor spaces, but I'm totally against banning it in bars, clubs, dance halls, and other nightlife spots 😬
The funniest thing I ever saw was back when I was in Italy in 1996. I was in this gorgeous little cultural town where these stunning, classy, well-dressed women were smoking like Turks while walking down the street because they weren't allowed to light up anywhere indoors... 😂it was hilarious

Maybe I’d see things differently if I were an addict, but I'm not, so I only smoke for the fun of it 🧐

Man, what a disaster... honestly, one of the worst movies I've ever sat through 🙂
I'm totally on board with Midsomer too!☕
Jose Chase2 said:If you aren't just talking about the soundtrack, but the actual sound design and effects, I've always thought Contact was incredible. That deep, vibrating space sound that resonates through the whole movie... honestly, it was just mind-blowing... 🙏

You always manage to come up with something smart! 🙏 🙏
I’m dreaming of spending about three months living in a villa straight out of the movie "April Fools' Day"...😍 😍 😍
Oh my goodness, look at this beauty... something just like this:

Terminator 2 was actually the first movie where I really started noticing sound as its own thing... 😬
All the Lord of the Rings films have such Great Sound too 👍
It’s so frustrating when the forum isn't working right, and we all end up posting the same things twice...😂

Breakfast ideas? in Health ·
I make it a point to eat breakfast around 8:30 AM every single day, but honestly, cereal and yogurt just don't work for me in the morning. If I eat those, I end up sprinting to the restroom and I'll end up missing my bus 🤣
I'd much rather grab some tasty cornbread and a coffee 😬
I usually save the cereal for when I get hungry in the evening, since I rarely ever eat dinner. By the time I get home from work and whip up some lunch, it’s usually already 5:00 PM, so I don't really feel the need to have a big meal later. I have fruit every day, and sometimes I'll just grab a banana for breakfast. All in all, I just can't function without breakfast ☕
Psoriasis [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
Sophia Edwards said:All my wounds have healed, and scales are starting to form. It’s day 6 of using Cortizone ointment. This stuff really helps those scales just "fall right off."

I'm a little confused here. For ten years now, I've stuck strictly to my prescription Electronic cream. It makes the scales flake off immediately, though it leaves some redness after a few days. Since it's a corticosteroid, I can't use it every single day, which makes things tougher during the winter months. In the summer, almost everything clears up once I get some sun (except for my elbows). So, I usually only need to medicate in the winter, and even then, not every year.☕>
I don't quite get why you're cycling through so many different creams just to get the scales to drop by the third one... especially when my cream works right away!! Also, is that Cortizone something you need a prescription for, or can you just buy it? And how much does it run??

Andrew Wells7 said:The first half is actually great, but then the movie turns into the most pathetic, messy sludge imaginable. It’s almost like Vrdoljak directed it.

Exactly! ☕
I'd also add that this mess is so hilarious, it might actually be worth watching once every ten years... 😂
