Mark Nelson said:I've been hospitalized before, and let me tell you, it was rough for both me and my mom. I totally agree that you just have to pick the "lesser of two evils," if you can even call it that. Honestly, I've felt so much better since my doctor finally got my prescription cocktail sorted out—I actually have energy again, which was nonexistent before.

Thanks a ton for the links.

I'm so sorry to hear about the hospital stay, but hey, anything that helps is a win in my book.
No problem at all😉

Mark Nelson said:Is there anyone else on here who’s dealt with psychotic disorder and actually managed to go totally off the meds? Like, is there even a real chance at getting better and leaving this stuff behind?

My doctor brought it up during my checkup, basically saying I might be stuck on these pills forever. Now I can't even find a way to break the news to my mom without feeling like a failure.😢
I've been diagnosed with F23.2, and honestly, I feel pretty good right now.

I really hope someone reaches out to you; you can find more in this thread.

personal experiences.

As for your mom, she’s just going to have to face reality—I mean, what other choice is there besides hospitalization? Neither you nor her would want that, let's be honest.
It's great that you're feeling better on the meds—it means they're actually working for you.

James Fowler3 said:Well, since I assume they’re going to try to switch me over to Adderall, and I’ve heard some decent things about Paxil, I decided to do a little digging into the side effects just now... and honestly, I'm a bit spooked. Between the hallucinations, seizures, and depersonalization—which is the part that really gets under my skin—it makes one wonder if it's even worth the risk...

Unfortunately, you're spot on—there have been plenty of bad experiences with those antidepressants. But honestly? The worst part seems to be when people try to taper off them; that's the part that would truly terrify me.

James Fowler3 said:Well, considering the other things people list, this doesn't even seem like a major side effect... It happens quite often, really. I was prepared for it, although perhaps not quite so early in the process... but there it is.

What I am truly wondering about is whether every single antidepressant poses a threat to someone prone to seizures... or if it's just certain specific ones... I recall reading something about it once, but the details escape me now...

Eventually, you’ll stop obsessively reading up on side effects—it's because that initial wave of anxiety starts to fade. Trust me, we've all been through that same scary phase.
I'm hearing about Epi for the first time—never actually come across it before.

Kevin Nguyen3 said:But honestly? I don't feel any shame about posting 874 photos; doesn't that say more about me than my actual words ever could..???

How is it that I didn't ask for anyone's picture?

Because you could look like you belong on the cover of Playboy for all it matters when we barely have half a topic a day.. right, girl?
It truly doesn't matter to me who has a pimple or stretch marks or cellulite, or who is up or down a few pounds, or who owns the love, the car, the vacation home, and so on. It doesn't matter if someone is college educated, a doctor, a CEO, a moderator, a forum owner, or even the head of NATO..

When we are facing illness, we are all equal. That was precisely the goal of this gathering.. to share our struggles and sorrows, perhaps even share a laugh, grab a coffee, and realize when the right time and place will be to do it all again...

You are a charming person; I am simply sharing some perspectives with you. I actually know you through your posts, and you try just as hard as everyone else. You fight, and that alone is enough for us to find common ground to vent about.

Nothing more than that...😉

Wow, you really took me way too seriously there, "kid."🙂🤣
Please, just don't post a photo.🙂😍

Imp... well... he’s a handsome devil, I have to admit 🙂🙈

Well, then you really have no excuse not to upload a photo—you know, it's all laid out right there in that "various options" PDF, just in case you hadn't noticed.

Eric Gray2, it’s a shame we actually have to resort to stalking.[Image link]

Kevin Nguyen3 said:Forget about how things look, you really should have come along for the hangouts...🙂

A person just relaxes when they realize they're talking to someone who deals with the exact same struggles... finally, a real conversation.

There is just so much to say, yet there's never enough time...😢

I really hope we can do this again soon, guys... Toxin, Carl Rivera43 😉

Maybe next time, but first, upload a profile pic to the forum! http://www.4smileys.com/smileys/emba...d-smiley19.gif

GNU?! Is that even... what are we even talking about here? A GNU? Are we discussing software? Or perhaps some obscure piece of history? I find myself wondering if there is a deeper meaning behind such a brief inquiry. Does anyone actually know? It feels so sudden! Why the sudden outburst? Is there an underlying context I am missing entirely? Honestly, one can only wonder.😲😲😲

Well, wouldn't it be just lovely? To start things off, why don't you simply put your own photo on that "Variety Pack" PDF? That way, everyone on the forum can actually see who they're talking to! Would that solve your stage fright, or are you truly just that incredibly shy?🤷
Please, I beg of you, just don't go telling people that the image in your avatar is actually yours!😲🙂

Nyet.
I consider myself quite the connoisseur...🙂

There was an image... somewhere. I know there was. Somewhere out there in the digital void, a picture existed. Was it here? Or perhaps elsewhere? It simply vanished.🤷
Well, yes... I suppose I am a bit of a wallflower. I tend to just sit back in silence and watch while everyone else spends their energy shouting nothingness into the void. Is it really worth joining in? I'd much rather observe the empty noise than contribute to it myself. 🙂

I don't buy it—you wouldn't be able to stay quiet if your life depended on it; you'd be talking up a storm.🤣
There was definitely a picture—let me do a deep dive on Google Images (:just think about it🙂😍😛

I have to give them a "pat on the back" because they actually helped me wean off Xanax—I almost forgot how much of a struggle that was, it feels like ancient history now😲😛

restlesstiger49 said:I've been taking Febrevin pretty steadily for about a month now, and honestly? I feel like garbage. Both mentally and physically. Is this just how it’s supposed to go, or am I missing something?

How long has it actually been since you started the taper? Because no—it definitely shouldn't be feeling this bad. Didn't you mention you were going to see that therapist who's covering while yours is away on vacation? Don't just sit there suffering for no reason; get yourself an appointment.😉

Kevin Nguyen3, are you seriously letting nerves get the better of you?! Honestly, how young can you be?🙂

Good grief, what am I even doing? Honestly, I haven't felt young for centuries... yet here I am, not exactly feeling old either. I don't even know! How much time has actually passed? What on earth is happening?!🤣

And I’ll be there... just so my backside can finally see what the road looks like!😁

Gnu?!😲😲😲

Look, if you want to get over the initial nerves, just upload a photo of yourself to a PDF or something so we can actually see who we're talking to—unless you're just incredibly shy?🤷
Please don't tell me that avatar is actually you.😲🙂

Jillian Banks in Music ·

Going by her full name, Jillian Banks is a rising R&B / trip hop singer-songwriter hailing from LA—she’s already dropped two EPs (fall Over in 2013 and New York City in 2013).

Beyond those, she's released quite a few singles, with the standout tracks being “Drowning “,”Brain ” and “Goddess“. Interestingly, that last one shares its title with her upcoming album, which is massive—clocking in at 18 songs! Though, since fans have already heard most of the tracks, there isn't much mystery left for the release.

Banks actually landed the number three spot on NBC's Sound of 2014 list and even picked up a brand New Nominee nod from MTV. Plus, Fox Weekly officially dubbed her an artist to Watch “.

While she cites Fione, Apple, and Lauryn Hill as her main influences, people constantly compare her soulful sound to Abel Tesfaye—better known as The Weeknd.
The "Goddess" album is slated for a release this fall.
