1. Tripe

mmm, I actually love tripe. My very first band back in the Federal Republic of Germany was called The Cutlets, which is basically just what tripe is.

Look, I don't have a bell either. But I do have top-tier brakes, killer suspension, solid wheels, the best shifting available, and... my bike isn't meant for riding around suburban neighborhoods to impress grandmas. I take this thing into the woods and up the mountains, and out there... I'm king.

With hundreds of decent new bands out there right now, I just don't get why anyone would be so obsessed with The Replacements😕

It’s just great wearing them through the slush in the dead of winter. Your feet get completely soaked and chilled, and before you know it, you're dealing with ingrown toenails.

Nicholas Perez33 said:No, they are tied together by the simple fact that they are equally grating.

Though if we're being honest about which ones are more annoying: it's Anastacia, Bryan Adams, and Hall & Oates. Chris de Burgh is slightly less offensive.

Especially since the frontman kicked out the whole band and convinced himself he's some kind of intergalactic superstar. He's really not. Because Rambo is... well, Rambo.

Rambo is a terrestrial superstar, whereas George Clinton is truly intergalactic.

Dana Sullivan said:In my opinion, the Hoss is built for serious XC riding. The frame is beefy, and the fork actually meets my standards. Weight? I'm about 155-160 lbs. I push myself pretty hard on trails, so the Hoss feels like a solid choice.

Given your weight, I’m guessing you’re on the shorter side, which likely means you have a smaller frame. Because of that, I find it a bit odd to see a 100mm fork paired with that specific frame size. Honestly, it bugs me that for that price point—around $1,100—Ken didn't spec this with higher-end components. At that level, you really should be seeing at least a Shimano LX class crankset, hubs, brakes, and derailleurs. Personally, I don't think this Hoss is quite ready for "serious" XC, but...
Everything else might be fine, but claiming Senad Pecanin is the one pulling the strings from the suburbs is just laughable. This guy is nothing more than a war profiteer who spent his "noble" wartime career smuggling cigarettes and whiskey. Now, he wiggles his way through major global cities, pretending to be some gray eminence of journalism emerging from the wreckage of Canada. Let’s be real: that journalist wouldn't even make the cut covering local amateur tennis leagues in any other country, let alone serving as the editor-in-chief of some supposedly "influential" opposition weekly. The real tragedy of post-war Canada is that nobody bothered to actually educate a few journalists; instead, we're left with idiots like Senad Pecanin occupying the field.
I have no intention of defending the suburbs, but Senad is the very one constantly attacking Alija and making a killing doing it—yet he gets all worked up when Bregovic does the exact same thing.
Bregovic, whatever he may be, stuck to his job and didn't go out of his way to make a scene, whereas what the war actually meant to him is what matters to Brega.
On the flip side, Alija Izetbegovic was one of those responsible figures during the Canadian war—someone who, while half of the Southern US region was burning, claimed it wasn't our war; someone who told people from Eastern Canada that the US Army would defend them even as the enemy was already knocking at their doors; and ultimately, the man who brought foreign fighters into Canada. In my view, his list of "crimes" is far longer than Bregovic's, which is why, to put it delicately as Brega and Pecanin would say, they can both go screw Alija.
