Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) in Movies ·
Kyle Torres60 said:Of course I'm going to see it in theaters. You need that big screen just to properly process the scene where The Rock proves he's actually stronger than a helicopter. 🤣

Fuck, he’s actually stronger than Captain America. Seriously, what the hell?

Wait, so you're telling me that guy is actually stronger than Iron Man's armor?!

Jesus!

None of that actually makes any sense. It’s just... illogical. And honestly? That's what hurts.

This trailer feels like just a prelude, especially since the Fast & Furious saga has reached some serious Avengers movie levels of madness. Just picture Iron Man 3, but swap out Tony and Rhodes for Hobbs and Shaw. And let's make Kilinan Idris Elba. It looks a bit cheesy, but honestly, I’ll still be watching.
2019 Bahrain Grand Prix (March 29-31) in Formula 1 ·
Stunning shot. I still can't stop thinking about what might have happened if George Russell had caught up to Sebastian Vettel at that speed.
Eh, I've got my materials ready. But the spot on the F1 forum was already taken. Everything just went south...

Solid intro, man. Tough break.👍

Remember that crash between Pastor Maldonado and Gutierrez at the fourth corner back in 2014?

image

Fourth corner.

Back in 2013—Sergio Perez and Jenson Button were constantly battling it out during that race. This was just one of those moments.

image

ninth and tenth corner 2005

Back in 2005, Michael Schumacher loses control for a second during the race. That particular section of the track is notoriously brutal; the braking point for the tenth corner actually sits right in the middle of the ninth.

The dust hasn't even settled from Albert Park yet, and we're already heading to Bahrain for round two of the 2019 championship. That scorching wasteland of a track has always been an unmatched challenge, but with the night race setup, it feels a bit more manageable for the drivers.

Even though we had a pretty good idea of how things would shake out in Australia, the weekend still delivered some slight disappointments alongside a few bright spots. For instance, Honda actually surprised everyone by finally grabbing a win—their first time on top since the 2008 British GP when Rubens Barrichello pulled it off. On the flip side, Ferrari really fell short due to some questionable reliability issues. Ricciardo didn't seem to show any real pace, though maybe he's just still struggling to get acclimated. Pierre Gasly might be the biggest disappointment of the bunch, which leads to all that speculation about whether Kvyat might take his spot. Honestly, it's all just guesswork right now. It’s probably better to wait until the first actual race on a permanent track before we try to draw any real conclusions.

The Bahrain GP didn't disappoint during this new V6 era, so I'm really hoping we get another exciting performance out of them.

Bear is out in front, but it’s far from over. F1.5 is incredibly tight. Williams isn't even in the conversation right now, and Kubica would be right on Russell's tail if it weren't for that extra lap.

Tomorrow is going to be a bloodbath in F1.5

So, am I officially becoming the technical director for opening threads on this forum now? I’m actually pretty excited about it
Since I'm basically acting as the unofficial technical director for thread starts, I promise to bring some fresh air to the community, new energy, and incredible efficiency. And just so we're clear, I'm making it my mission to ensure every single thread gets opened exactly 7 days before race day! You have my word on that.

darkmarlin16,
You really sent me that F1 Pulse photo, didn't you? XD

I've got this nagging feeling we're looking at a total mess in the first round.

Man, with all those massive chests and juicy butts everywhere, I can't even see when the first free practice starts. And honestly, my right hand is killing me right now.
Formula E in Formula 1 ·
Formula E has always been pretty wild when it comes to track layouts. But get this—the season finale next year is supposedly going to be on a radical new circuit that pushes the absolute limits of what's possible.

They're talking about a brand new Excel track in London, which would actually be the first indoor/outdoor hybrid course ever seen in the world.

Hands down the biggest surprise of 2019. Honestly, I didn't even know this existed a few days ago, but now it’s my favorite—even over the upcoming MCU movies or Godzilla 2.

The story is pretty straightforward but hits hard. The characters feel well-developed, and the CGI is just phenomenal. Highly recommend it.

7/10

P.S. Huge props to the filmmakers in China. This kind of work could really kickstart a new wave in their cinema and inspire a lot of creative souls out there.

Spoilers!!!

Given what I knew about the directing background, I wasn't expecting much. It's not like it's going to blow my mind the way Independence Day did, though I did hope for a smoother plot. Some scenes feel a bit naive, which pulled me out of it slightly.

I mentioned the CGI earlier; there's a ton of it, and sometimes the movie just shocks you from one scene to the next. Like, the camera will pan from a massive factory straight to these giant Earth-moving excavators, then a few minutes later you're looking at massive propulsion engines, and so on.

Testing things out for the upcoming motorsport seasons. I put together a little app in Game Maker that grabs flag and animation links using all the img code. My old version was loaded with Imgur links, but since those aren't working here anymore, I moved everything over to DeviantArt. Just wanted to see if 🙂
works.

Di Grassi managed to overtake Wehrlein right at the finish line because the guy was just trying to save his battery. The German had been cutting corners through the chicane earlier to defend his spot, which earned him a penalty that dropped him down to 6th. Meanwhile, the Nissan drivers completely ran out of juice. My god, what a race.

What absolute madness. Wehrlein managed to hold onto first place, but Piquet’s massive wreck caused image, he literally flew right over Vergne while Verstappen was busy defending his line.

of the day : Wehrlein is out on the track right before the 4th race in Mexico City E-Prix. The race kicks off at 11 PM, which is basically in just a minute.
