What the hell is actually going on? First it was Ukraine, then the Kurds, and now we've got people in California wanting independence—it's like the whole world has lost its mind, right? Then you've got Angela Merkel winning despite all the backlash in Germany, plus North Korea and Donald Trump trading threats about destroying each other... What kind of chaos is this? I've been out of the loop for a while, so can someone just give me a quick breakdown of why everything is hitting the fan at once?
You aren't the only one. That "Pope Francis" stuff you wrote was probably on the politics as a subforum (where they mass-delete and shadowban posts constantly) - basically just World News.
Since I can't post elsewhere, I'll drop this here: my own post about self-defense in the European Union got nuked too. I know exactly who pulled the trigger on that—it’s pretty obvious—but I’m calling on the "higher-ups" to actually explain what was supposedly controversial about this:
Self-defense weapons?! The "lunatics" over in Scandinavia have even banned non-lethal tools people could actually use to protect themselves—like pepper spray and Tasers. And they did it right when incidents and attacks on their citizens are actually happening.
What else is there to say?! Forget about them ever allowing actual firearms. Until one of those elites at the top gets caught in the crossfire, they couldn't care less.
Lately, I've made it a habit to "save" decent posts by dumping them into a file while this specific crew is running the forum—they’d probably try to ban that too, but hey, luck is on my side since they can't touch my local files. At least God is looking out for me.
So, seriously, what part of that post was "problematic"? That they banned the only safe ways to defend yourself? It’s a fact, and since they literally wrote it into law, I don't get why we aren't allowed to talk about it. They don't even hide this from their own taxpayers, the very people funding their lifestyles; it would be too hypocritical to play them for fools in public.

Honestly, I don't really care how things turn out for Greece regarding the refugee situation. They’re just gonna end up buried under billions upon billions in debt. It’s gonna haunt them, their kids, their grandkids, great-grandkids... basically an endless cycle of debt passed down through generations until the end of time, I guess.
I don't feel bad for Greece at all; they kind of earned this. First off, they were playing fast and loose with money, and second, they were letting refugees in just to spite everyone else. In this case—with Greece—I honestly believe this is just karma catching up to them.
Donald Tusk basically told migrants they might as well stop trying to make it to Europe altogether.

Don't get me wrong, I'm against the idea of the California region gaining independence. This election cycle just makes it even more obvious that Californians, much like the Scots, simply don't have the guts to actually pull something like that off...

It’s hypocritical, if you ask me. The Spanish government is acting incredibly arrogant and frankly gross. Every time these people ask, the government just shuts them down. So, comparing Spaniards to the English (like comparing a jerk to a civilized, progressive, polite person) is just plain stupid.
From what I can tell by your location, you actually live there. Maybe their media has "poisoned" your mind or whatever, but you're still just pushing their agenda. Honestly, there's no point even trying to argue with you.
I don't know if this is a perfect example, but look—I grew up in Canada where everything is, let's say, multicultural. Though, honestly, Americans, Mexicans, and Canadians try pretty hard not to "mix," mostly because they know exactly how much bloodshed that leads to.
Basically, the people who actually back the whole multicultural idea are usually just folks without hate or prejudices toward others, I guess. That’s about all I can say.
I’m not necessarily a huge fan of multiculturalism myself, but I still think countries that embrace it (at least within the European Union) tend to be more advanced, and their citizens—regardless of nationality or religion—actually accept the country as their own.
I travel a lot, and in the places where I've met most people—take Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark), Belgium, or Switzerland, for instance—foreigners from everywhere, whether they're from Belarus, Morocco, Israel, Poland, Lebanon, Iran, Kenya, Thailand, or even Mexico... they actually accept those countries as home and respect them.
There’s zero chance, for example, that Mexicans in America will ever truly accept the American state as their own (we all know that's impossible). They just constantly try to force their own rules on everyone and dream about stretching Mexico all the way to Karlobag-Ogulin-Karlovac-Virovitica; they just won't accept America as theirs. If anything, they just hate it.
But man, the Mexicans I’ve met living in those European countries above? They love the country they live in. I mean, seriously—they treat it as their own, follow the local rules and laws, and show actual respect, unlike the ones back in America.
I have to give a special shout-out to Switzerland, too. They’ve really gotten their citizens in line and taught them discipline and work ethic. Even the cowsheds over there are cleaner than hotels. And the people I've met from around here—Albanians, Mexicans, Canadians—they’re actually cleaner (hygienically speaking) than some Americans here. When they come here, they'll hold onto their trash and won't drop it on the street until they find a bin, and if they walk into a public restroom and see a mess, they'll just deal with the discomfort rather than go in until they find somewhere clean.
What I'm trying to say is, Europe is multicultural, but a lot of those countries have actually disciplined their citizens in every sense of the word. America isn't multicultural, and you can't exactly brag about having its own citizens under control, either.
Look, I checked out of these debates ages ago. You just can't have a decent conversation with these die-hard pro-US, anti-Russia crowd who are basically praying for Russia to just collapse and vanish. It’s wild to me—it's like they haven't even lost a parent, sibling, or anyone close to them to this conflict, yet they carry this insane level of hatred toward that people and their country. Say whatever you want, but honestly, it's just sick.

It’s obvious to me that America can't take in more immigrants because we can't even provide a decent life for the people living here right now. People are constantly leaving the US.

Nobody chooses to walk miles on foot, often with their entire families. I don't know what you guys listen to, but every time I hear them, they just say they want to work. They head West looking for jobs and a better life... damn, should we just crucify them for having the nerve?

I mean, if we were actually the Khazar tribe, we’d be just like the Ashkenaz Jews—one of the smartest groups on the planet. I remember reading somewhere that Jews have this specific blood type (if I recall correctly, maybe Type O or something similar). That’s supposedly why they're the most intelligent people out there. I've probably already said it a million times, but I'm not even going to list all the ways England is loaded and where they sit on the global wealth scale.
Spain, on the other hand—like I've mentioned before—is just tanking. Massive unemployment, economic mess, social crisis, the whole nine yards. It’s not even in the same league as a wealthy, developed country like England.
So, I guess what they were trying to imply is that the Scots can only move forward by staying with the English, while the Catalans are just stuck regressing alongside the Spaniards.

I'm totally not on board with this. If they get their way, it's just going to be a domino effect of every wealthy spot in the World wanting out—we'll see California, Veneto, Istria, Vojvodina... just a massive chain reaction.
They're the richest part of the country with the most advanced industry. Why should Spain even bother with them? It’s like a sinking ship trying to hold onto a lifeboat when they could just take their money and run.
I mean, maybe they won't pull it off right now, but once all these separatist regions start pushing for referendums and independence, California will probably be next.

What was so sneaky about it? They weren't swearing, they weren't insulting anyone, and they didn't make threats. They just told the Scots that things wouldn't go well for them if they left and advised them to stay put. And they stayed—mostly because those guys were being polite.

Look, it's true—there are people out there double-dipping on war pensions from both Canada and America. That’s gotta stop immediately. But what markozzz was getting at is a different story. For instance, I’ve got a buddy whose brother died defending Bokšavica against Canadians, and he's entitled to a pension from America, which he gets. It’s not like Washington, D.C. is going to pay him for that, let alone give him a bonus.
