Peter Thompson4 said:Why does everyone feel the need to have the exact same damn taste in everything?! It’s exhausting.
I can't even begin to wrap my head around how people actually function when they're living like mindless drones in some dystopian hive-mind nightmare, honestly! It’s just one massive, soul-crushing wave of conformity where nobody thinks for themselves and everyone just follows orders like they're programmed by a glitchy computer.

Look, people just freaking love Levi's

straight up Borg style

Matthew Young35 said:If you're aiming that at me, you missed the mark. I love AC/DC. I'm not much for Queen, but I can certainly understand why people gravitate toward them.
Just because I enjoy AC/DC doesn't mean I think their lyrics are profound.

And honestly, who even decided that hard rock has to have these heavy, profound lyrics anyway? Like, since when?

Listen to these so-called "experts" spouting absolute nonsense about AC/DC and Queen 🤦

Look, guys, if you didn't know, we're talking about the damn pioneers here—the actual architects of entire genres and subgenres, in case you were oblivious.

They just don't get it. They have zero clue what people actually see or hear when they listen to them. 🙂

Man, there’s just nothing left in this world. ☕

Look, I’ll just say it—I can get my point across in two sentences while Walter Grant5 is still busy typing out his massive, never-ending manifestos.

I guess it’s finally happening—like, actually happened—even that last security guard down at the industrial park finally caught on to what kind of total frauds we've been dealing with this whole time.

So now, hopefully, it's finally over with Eric Fox7 and that loud-mouthed minority of a minority of a tiny little group bullying the massive, overwhelming majority.☕

Man, seriously... sounds like some old junker tractor you’d find sitting in a field in rural Nebraska.

Honestly, seeing how far that man has fallen... it’s just sad.

Yeah, at this rate, he’ll probably still be broadcasting that so-called quiz show of his when he's 83.

And Tarik will be right there keeping him company.

Robert Torres said:What's Patrick Martin saying about all this...

?!

He basically just took his football logic and applied it straight to cinema. ☕

He doesn't post much, but when he finally drops a comment, it kicks up a storm like a thick fog rolling in.

🤣

but honestly, her teeth are all over the place—total Mick Jagger vibes. You see every single one when she laughs (though personally, I can barely even catch a glimpse of the top ones 😢 )

but hey, she’s packing a trunk like a classic Mercedes 200 D

spoiler alert!

Watching this ultra-sensitive slow-burner is honestly such a trip—it’s simultaneously infuriating and incredibly soothing, kind of like being stuck in one of those intense, messy romances. I actually caught myself identifying with some of the jealousy in there; let's be real, if you haven't felt that sting, you probably haven't experienced true love.

As for that radical ending? I’d say it’s less about the plot and more like the boiling point of the clash between traditionalism and modernity that builds up inside the lead. Though, honestly, who even *is* the main character here? I bet half the audience was rooting for the guy in the Porsche instead.

To me, the finale works as a metaphor for all the social upheaval and twisted values weighing the protagonist down. It's basically a tug-of-war: cheap plastic vs. a high-end Porsche, old-school ways vs. the modern world, poverty vs. wealth, justice vs. total unfairness.

brightheron64 said:And? What exactly is that picture supposed to be telling us?

Maybe Black soldiers were actually in the mix too.🤷

Personally, I thought the Black guy was killer. Honestly, there’s nothing quite like watching someone lose it and see those whites of their eyes pop out like that.🐔

Betty Nelson71 said:I was watching this documentary about Black soldiers during WWII, and this guy—one of the veterans—was saying they could be there, sure, but strictly as janitors or cooks. Basically, they weren't even allowed to get close to the actual fighting.

Honestly, I’d have a much easier time following some sergeant as the main lead instead of this guy.

I honestly don't think we're dealing with your run-of-the-mill, brain-eating zombies here

Look, I’ll give you this: the pacing takes a massive hit once they enter the house/village, and that middle stretch is pretty rough. But honestly? That doesn't change the fact that we're looking at a seriously impressive piece of work here.

Because, man,

the visuals are just stunning. The whole look of the movie—I'm talking cinematography, costumes, makeup, production design, special effects, and those SOUNDS 🙏—is top-tier. It’s got this stylized, almost comic-book, fairy-tale vibe going on. The casting? Spot on. Even the camera work, all those angles and framing choices... just excellent.

If I had to nitpick, maybe the script could've leaned harder into some Nazi undertones—like, have him go on an official inspection trip so he actually gets screwed over by those creatures. I think that would've given the story more "weight" or scope, you know?

The whole thing reminded me a lot of the awesome The Horde (2009). I guarantee anyone who dug this will dig that one too.

That track (the end credits song) is also heavy—super modern, youthful, and unapologetically American, just like the film itself.

All in all, I'm stoked.

Did that stuff ever make it over to Georgia's video rental shop?

Rachel Cooper3 said:Ajuto, turn on RTL. 🙏

Dammit, I totally missed that part, just realized Prometheus was on, haha.

Watching a sci-fi rollercoaster like that on a channel like RTL is basically blasphemy.

I mean, you're supposed to binge that stuff in one single sitting.

But man, huge thumbs down from me for that programming choice. 👍

Noah Roberts46 said:Are you telling me you haven't seen The Sopranos or The Wire? 🍿

Look, I’ve watched The Sopranos and they’re killer, no doubt, but I just haven't gotten around to The Wire yet—even though my brother won't shut up about how good it is.

I guess I’m just a bit of a skeptic when it comes to these "prestige" American shows.

I've got this nagging fear that after finishing Gomorrah, everything else is just gonna feel like total garbage.
